4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Very good card Performs better then a GTX 770 for a much cheaper price

Cons: Artifacts at high tempetures

I have RMad this card already and still continues to artifcat once it gets hot, The only reason im giving this 4 stars instead of 3 is because I plan on watercooling it

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate the positive feedback. If you have any issues with your replacement, please contact us. Make sure your waterblock matches this pcb as it is not likely a reference PCB

5 out of 5 eggsBest graphic card I've owned

Pros: It decimates the graphic needs that I have, and I do not even need to overlock it.

Cons: In time, it will age and it isn't watercooled without altering the card.

Other Thoughts: No matter what I am doing, I do not hear it over my computer cases fans and that is a good thing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk and Technical Support is a Joke

Pros: It's a shorter card than some of the other 7970's on the market. So you get better air flow if you put this card in a large case, or you can choose to put this card in a smaller case.

Cons: The card is defective. It took me forever to diagnose the problem, but my particular card causes display artifacts to be rendered, frame stuttering, and then my computer to do a hard-freeze when playing games that use Directx11. I've been able to confirm its not a driver problem, software or computer configuration problem, but I can reliably reproduce the fault. It appears to have a faulty chip that doesn't handle DirectX 11 properly

However XFX's customer support is a joke. I contacted their support and explained the problem. They (specifically someone named "Krell") asked me to send them a copy of my invoice and asked me one or two clarifying questions. That was 5 days ago and I haven't heard back from them since despite repeated attempts to contact XFX. Now, I'm left in limbo.

You buy enough parts and eventually, you will buy a bad one. It happens. What is unacceptable is when a company doesn't stand behind their product or warranty or provide even a minimum level of customer service. Spend your money on a card from another manufacturer. If you buy a bad part, at least they will stand behind their products and not leave you hanging when you need help.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, We're sorry you had a delay in your ticket response time. Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com so we can resolve this immeidately.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed

Pros: Have had this card almost a year now, with no issues. Currently playing Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn and it's amazing.

Cons: Had initial difficulty with the directions. They weren't very clear on how to connect the power supply cables. Just note, you'll need to plug in all the cables into the card for it to work. I'm using a 650w ps.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Perfect

Pros: I had 7850 now 7970 and it still performs like a champ. Very impressive, sleek and sexy design, and is almost absolutely perfect for me.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I haven't overclocked it yet, but don't see a need to. I like being able to adjust fan speed on desktop with catalyst center and cool things down, and when fans are too loud, turn them back down, without going through Bios, right on desktop, system tray.

Thank you for the great review. If you have any questions, please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I have this card paired with a XFX 7970 Black Edition and have no issues at all. I OC'ed this card to match the Black Edition stock specs and it jumps to about 70c while playing Battlefield 4 on ultra. I have read a lot of bad reviews and so far I have yet to experience any of them.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you do not have a Full ATX or a Mid ATX with a lot of air flow I am not sure you would want to crossfire this card. My top card will hit around 78c under max load and I run a full case with a ton of air flow. Other than that great product.

1 out of 5 eggsCard Died

Pros: Ran well when it worked, quite low temps

Cons: Card died after 2 months of moderate use. Went to turn my computer on one morning and the card started smoking. First time switching over to AMD, but I think I'll go back to Nvidia. Card for this price should not of died this quick.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, We're sorry you are having issues with your card. Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com for immediate assistance. Thank you

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ran well when it worked, stayed at a good temperature with little noise.

Cons: Woke up one morning to see my PC was shut off. When I went to turn it back on the video card started smoking. Thought it could of been the power supply, so I put my old card in and it booted up fine. First ATI card for me, but looks like I will be going back to Nvidia.

Other Thoughts: Was excited to switch over to an ATI card, but after this incident I wont go back. For the price, this card should not die after a few months of moderate use.
