2 out of 5 eggsXFX 7790 1GB Black Edition

Pros: Nice looks. Silent.

Cons: Randomly flickering while browsing, watching videos, playing games...

Other Thoughts: I would expect more from this manufacturer...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Mastrolee, it sounds like a signal issue. Have you tried any other monitors or cables? Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com for assistance. Thank you

3 out of 5 eggsTook some time

Pros: Quiet.
Good Performance.
Decent Price.

Cons: Took a bit to get it working.

Other Thoughts: Accurate info about which CPU's will bottleneck would be nice.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we're sorry you had issues with your card. Is everything resolved? Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com for immediate assistance.

CPU Bottlenecks aren't easily related to GPU's. It really depends on the engine or software utilizing them.

1 out of 5 eggsBuy Saphre Instead!

Pros: Good heat sink, looks good

Cons: not stable on stock clocks, low FPS

Other Thoughts: PassMark: Graphics 3D complex - 20 FPS; Graphics DX10 - 20 FPS..... paired with FX-6300 on Asus M5A97. Will not even bother RMA - will just return and get Sapphire product.

This is review for particular card. I love Newegg and the way they do business, but XFX was my first and last card. I'm going back to Sapphire products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video card

Pros: Excellent performance with a low power draw. (Only 85 Watts) Runs very cool. Plays all my games on highest settings with no issues...even Tomb Raider with TressFX. Only needs one 6-pin power connector. Out performs my old HD4870 by a wide margin which had a 150 watt power draw. The cooler on this card seems to be a very solid design.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Current system:

RAM: 7.5
Graphics: 7.7
Gaming Graphics: 7.7
