5 out of 5 eggsCHEWBUYA

Pros: Links up with AMD Cross Fire provides great video quality that came in as a 7.0 on win experience index. Paired with an ASUS A88X-PRO with 16gigs RAM.700watts of power is just fine. Coupled with a Samsung 850 PRO in 256gig size as main drive. Running Win 7 ultimate.

Cons: Oh my, they are endless.
First let me say the Cross Fire is very RAM fussy
Second let me say Cross Fire is driver fussy
I finally read like Sherlock holmes the instructions and deduced to use the drivers that came with the mother board
those worked however not with one set of RAM that I purchased (32gigs) the RAM it's self was to blame
It took me months of diligence to ferret out the solution
so??? try a couple different sets of RAM if you can't get it
and use the Catalyst drivers that came with the mother board

Other Thoughts: This is old technology now but suffice to say it really is quite amazing the graphics give you set up with the duel or Cross Fire set up.
I had never done a SLI or a Cross Fire so this being my first I can see why people do it as it is quite a jump in performance.
so it may take a little diligence to figure it out.
the main problem I was having was that with things not correct the performance drawer doesn't give you Duel as an option
there really is a kiss principal going on here however the directions are a bit vague.
Plus the instruction refeared to Catalyst Engine which is no longer used very confusing since the duel didn't show up either.
much diligence was used
I purchased this card in October of 2014 on advise of the XFX support guy Mark. Works great now.
Much frustration trying to find graphic drivers separate from APU drivers the AMD ATI site is a nightmare way different than Nvidia (cudos) alas I'll share 25% of the blame on that one but wow hard to navigate.
Bottom line very happy with this card set up Cross Fire
That is with a single card and the on board APU.
I also set the preferred connection to be the on board (on mother board) HDMI connection.
That About sums it up
Very Happy with set up.
PS: there seems to be something different with Cross Fire than just a good graphics card the Cross Fire has something going on not sure how to explain it but just is good.

Cons: First time I have rebate problem. I dont know but I mailed the rebate forms and upc more than 3 weeks now and still my status is "Awaiting Receipt of Documentation". I followed all steps and within the window of the rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsOk GPU

Pros: This is a decent gpu for the price, not great not bad. if you are upgrading from older or more low end like a nvidia 630 and such it will be a GREAT improvement. was able to overclock to 1060/1200 anymore and it artifacts.

Cons: It's not the strongest gpu, doesnt have a power input which might help it overclock more/get higher fps

Other Thoughts: this is a solid card for 720P and less, it does do 1080P depending on the game tho settings might have to be set low to medium

Manufacturer Response:

Excellent. We are happy everything is going as expected.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Upgrade

Pros: Bought this as an upgrade to a Radeon HD 5670 card. Nice upgrade from it, During the time I've had it I've only been playing Halo Spartan Assault, The Wolf Among Us and Diablo 3, so can't give a good idea of how much of a difference I got from the upgrade. Best example is in Diablo 3 with the 5670, I was running around 50/50 with settings on medium/high with a few laggy spots here and there. With the R7 250, I have everything on High and turned on and no lag. The rating from Windows Experience was a 7.0 with the 5670 and is now 7.2 with the R7 250. May not seem like a difference but when explaining the Diablo 3 improvement I see it as a good upgrade. I'll have to check out more of my demanding games like Guild Wars 2 at a later time.

Cons: None that I can think of really. The fan isn't loud I'd say really it's around the same as my old card and that wasn't loud to me

Other Thoughts: Windows Experience rating with Radeon 5670 - 7.0

Windows Experience rating with XFX R7 250 - 7.2

Doesn't seem like a big upgrade but that was never the plan. While you can get a better card for just a little more, I got this on sale for around $80, $70 with mail in rebate and it's doing it's job very well

4 out of 5 eggsXFX r7 250

Pros: Cost, cooling, quite, and efficient. Can runs most current games on max with little struggle, ultra sacrifice some fps but still highly playable if its offline. Would run max/medium for online gaming other than mmorpg would be fine tuned up.

Cons: no cons true cons, for a little bit more you can get something better, but that's true for everything in life, so for a budget card it can not be beat.

Only problem was installation
windows 8.1 is not friendly for new vid card, after about 3 hours on Google i found the solution. You have to boot into bios/f12 or uefi with the new windows. Then you have to set your system to legacy mode. for the card to function. Would have been nice to have an faq on xfx about the issue with 8.1

Other Thoughts: Great card, cost worthy, windows 8.1 is the only hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Card

Pros: Price is right, Son needed a DX11 Card (Old 4XXX HD wouldnt play CoD Ghosts) to play CoD Ghosts. This card did the trick. Not the best performing card, but for less than $100 I cant complain. Stock cooler is well built, huge fan, helps to keep system cool and silent. Have not OC'd yet, but I dont really have a need for it...

Cons: Price is not too bad, however - another $40 will get you a lot more....

Other Thoughts: If you need a decent card to play anything requiring DX11 - This is a great choice. Build quality is high, cooling is great, does what I need it to do. I hope this helps!
