5 out of 5 eggsRuns quiet and cool

Pros: Only one six pin power connector is a plus. I had a 4890 XFX card and it had a six and eight pin connector, but it was a factory overclock edition. Even when gaming this video card stays cool with Wolfenstein: The New Order. This video card is lighter than my last one. It will handle the new HD standard 4096k resolution. Price is relatively low for the performance I see from it. Having 2 GByte of video memory on the board is nice. XFX has the best video cards and never had one fail yet.

Cons: Double card width. Mostly an aluminum heat sink structure, but that contributes to less weight.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate the positive feedback.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat.... but for the SCREECHING@!!!

Pros: Performs without a hitch. Never faulters

Cons: makes a highpitched squeaking or screeching.

Other Thoughts: This card is awesome, except or when the fan spins up to go faster. Then all I can hear is this high pitches squeaking or screeching. I think a part of the fan may be hitting against the metal housing that surrounds it.

Does anyone know how to silence this screeching? PLEASE!!!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, The screeching you may be referring to can sometimes be Coilwhine. Running Furmark's burn in test sometimes fixes this... othertimes it is the GPU or power related issues on the way to the GPU.

4 out of 5 eggsWOW!!! Thank you Mark

Pros: Good Card for about 6 Months, then the fans broke, BUT!, Mark at XFX helped me get a replacement part completely FREE!!! I had to wait, but for the cards low noise and low heat it was totally worth it. Didn't buy off Newegg though so yeah. My review isn't super legit i guess.

Cons: Fans broke, read pros for more detail.

Other Thoughts: Plays (with my 6300) everything on (High-Ultra)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: I love this card! But since it is the only one I have, I don't say much. But this card is very good. I built my first computer and I am very pleased with it. It can run every game I have (as of right now) at high or ultra settings. Very happy with this card.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I want to get bf4 and try it out on that. Should run pretty good.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review. We appreciate the positive feed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: Works great so far no issues encountered. Happy

Cons: If you have a VGA cable for your monitor you'll have to get a VGA to DVI converter because this graphics card uses DVI. I got a Sapphire 7870 last year which came with a converter. This product just gives you a flyer indicating that XFX sells the converter hahah. Anyway not a big deal just 4 dollars or so for the converter.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card but prices should be going down not up

Pros: Great cooling
Low Fan noise
Great power usage off of one 6 pin
Great architecture

Cons: Price
Ridiciulous that the price of the card keeps going up because some people want to mis-use it for other reasons than gaming. Wish bit coining could be outlawed and banned. Hopefully someday they will make it so using video cards for bitcoin mining is useless.
Giving 4 eggs because Newegg is price gouging to cash in on non gamers.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Fast and reliable. Great value for price.

Cons: Not a 290x?

Other Thoughts: I ordered this when it was $199.99 and came with a free copy of BF4. Worth every penny at this price.

I have it clocked at 1050 core, and 1500 mem. while coin mining it has never gotten above 75 celcius. Fans can be loud with over 3k speed, but I've only hit that speed with manual adjustment. Left to their own, they have never gone over 1850RPM even while OC'd and mining. They are quieter than my case fans, so I never hear them.

1 out of 5 eggsWay too overpriced for what you get.

Pros: Its ok at mining.

Cons: For gaming go NVIDIA and get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: These cards have soared in price because of mining and the companies who produce the cards are taking the opportunity to line their pockets. You are now paying upwards of $300 for a 270x and if you are a gamer its not worth it. Supply and demand aka greedy companies trying to take advantage of people.
