5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Our office uses these to run three monitors for our support and development staff. Installation is a breeze and they work as expected. I have had great success with the XFX brand so when I see that on a product I know I can trust it to work.

Cons: Haven't run into any so far.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely suggest these for anyone who needs to run three monitors, just don't forget the active display port adapter.

2 out of 5 eggsGood price and sleek rebranding doesn't make up for the internals

Pros: + Cheap after rebate
+ Better than Intel HD 530 graphics, barely
+ Fan and heatsink are overkill for this card
+ Supposedly 4k-ready, but I don't think it would have the power

Cons: - First card I received would repeatedly shut off after 1 minute. XFX support handled things well enough and sent me a replacement, which worked. Still, I would rather not deal with this, and it's a ding on XFX's product quality and reliability.
- Chipset is a re-badged HD7xxx from 2012. I didn't realize this at first, but I wish I could get an underclocked/entry-level version of a modern chipset instead.
- Fan was noisy at it's idle speed of 35%. Using SpeedFan and FurMark however, I found that the card could be stress tested at only 27% fan, which was much quieter. 100% fan would be way overkill.

Other Thoughts: My initial thinking when purchasing was, "graphics cards these days are so crazy powerful, that even a lower end one would be fine for me doing lightweight games, emulation, etc." But, I have found that Intel integrated graphics have come a long way since 2012, and unfortunately you have to break the $100 mark in order to get any benefit at all from discrete graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well!

Pros: Works as intended. Runs most modern games at medium-high, with some of the more demanding shaders low/off. Definitely good for a budget build considering the price.

Cons: Has a lot of trouble running Fallout 4, though not really sure why. Might be worth it to invest a little more money into something a little more powerful.

Other Thoughts: Feels pretty sturdy, which is a plus.

4 out of 5 eggsgood for low end

Pros: Good card can get 1080p gameplay with 60fps on bf4 right out of the box. Mine craft easy 120fps consistent. This card will not run 4K vary well at all maybe 20 fps average.

Cons: Good for low end amd build above that you'll get bottle necked

2 out of 5 eggsSemi-Dead

Pros: Pros: Somewhat Fancy "Ghost labeled" Heatsink/spreader that may or may not serve any purpose. The title of my review is a reference to a decent Vin Diesel movie (Chronicles of Riddick).

Cons: Works occasionally. Rarely. Maybe 10-15% of the time. IF I get can get the card to produce any display whatsoever, it will within 30 seconds - 5 minutes randomly shut off and tellingly, the monitor will detect no signal from the video card and shut off as well. Tried in two machines and on both I tried fresh loads of the OS (one 7, one 10). All in all - two different motherboards, 2 different cables and 3 different monitors. Machine is now rocking Intel Processor Graphics. Dear Intel: thank you for bailing XFX out.

Other Thoughts: XFX support is this: 1. Register on their website. 2. Create a ticket and wait "up to 72 hours". Should have returned this to Newegg earlier today. Gets 2 eggs because well...it isn't entirely dead, just semi dead. Heh.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Curtis,

Unfortunately, our support staff doesnt always work the weekend hours and during the holidays we are extra busy. We apologize for the delay.

What is your ticket #? i would be happy to look into this for you.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cheap upgrade

Pros: a very good budget card

Cons: It's an older card

Other Thoughts: The XFX R7 250X is a good upgrade if you are looking for a cheap card. I got a big boost over an integrated GPU on my AMD A8-5500 CPU. The card might be a little old but I am still able to play newer game GTA V and it still looks great.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for your buck mid range video card

Pros: If your looking for a great mid range video card to step up from the slower integrated graphics included on most CPUs. Look no further, the AMD R7 250X can handle your gaming needs like run your latest games at medium to high settings and handle Full HD and 2K video. Also with the array of output ports allow for multiple display setups. This video card is also unlocked for overclocking either the gpu and memory clock speeds via the AMD Catalyst application. These cards also run pretty cool even under high load.

Cons: Unfortunately as this video card is not for high to extremists level gaming don't expect to run games above Full HD beyond high settings in most games. Video above 2K video will get choppy. This card doesn't support crossfire and only has GDDR3 as opposed to the later and greater GDDR5.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Reliable, not heating up, performance is pretty good. Used it on my regular custom-built desktop computer (no gaming).

Cons: Little pricey.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pros= low energy use, good cooling, nice for 1080p

Cons: Cons,= catalyst software is lacking, as options cause a severe performance. Hit, lack of connections on the card

Other Thoughts: This card is worth what you pay for. It is a good entrance into pc gaming at 1080p and below. Great starter or second card.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the review, we really appreciate you taking the time to write it.

You shouldn't be having any severe performance hits for modifying your CCC settings. what features are causing you trouble?

What other kinds of connections are you looking for or would like to see on the next model?
