5 out of 5 eggsgreat tuner card

Comments: i bought this card for one of my customers because of the price & tuner chip. i was amazed at the picture quality. we put it in a P-4 3.2 with a nice 128mb video card and XP pro. it only took a few minutes for software and all. NOT ONE GLITCH ! the PDF user manual is good too.

5 out of 5 eggsdoes what i want, low enough price

Comments: good card, works with what comes in the package. max resolution is 720*480, dk if that's high or low for PVR standards, but i can either keep it in a window in the corner or maximize. also a keep on top feature. lets u timeshift or record shows (about 600MB/ hour) the volume slider is master volume. go to advanced volume control and adjust the "line-in" slider if u want to change its volume relative to other apps

5 out of 5 eggsBetter video than ATI

Comments: I am very happy with this card. Being used on an intel 845wn, Celeron 2.6 Jaton twin mx4000 128ddr, 768megs. I can drop the tv on either monitor with no conflicts. The picture is clean and it records OK

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price, good quality

Comments: I bought this for creating my own PVR (Personal Video Recorder), and I like the ability to look up shows, the channel surfing, and the quality of the sound and video was good, if not better, than my TV. NOTE: You will need a high quality sound card (usually not one that is included on your mobo) if you want to pause/record tv. (It links back through to your Line-In when recording, so if you have a low quality sound card that cannot do analog to digital very well, it will sound very weird.) Good card for the price, but make sure you have an extra 30 bucks sitting around for a new sound card, cause you might need it.

5 out of 5 eggsLet's read on~

Comments: I have been using TV card since 2000, from ATI All-in-wonder, ATI TV, Kworld PCTV station, to top of line ComPRO Ultra w/ power on and now, this budget PVR.
If you look carefully, you will notice there are pretty much two Chipset manufacture only ... Conexant and Philips.

I found Conexant Chipset 878a TV tuner has fuzzier picture quality! Wherea Philips has much vivid clear picture. Software plays also play important part on TV function.
Somehow, all Conexant chip TV card come w/ software that has faster channel surfing speed, but low image clearity. Philip chipset on the other hand, has slower channel surfing but better quality. In comparison, this value card even better than its big borther ULTRA version. (come w/ PVR version 2). Surfing speed has improve and faster start up. I definitely like this card a lot and great price!!!!! HOWEVER, one thing I dont' like about the card is lack of internal sound-out connector. I really don't want to run another cable outside of my beautiful HTPC just to connect sound-out to my sound card. **** so I solder a internal connector myself ****

Other than that, this is a great great card!!!!!! With very stable new update software. (you can download from their website)

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I rolled the dice based on one review and he was right. This thing is great.

I run it on a Riva 32meg PCI card with Duron 700 o-clocked to 932
(7X133) on a k600 board for my
2 y/o. All long forgotten PC parts and this card runs absolutely perfect. So she has
a TV that plays games and etc. This is a total bargain as is NewEgg in general...

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: This is the first TV tuner i have ever worked with, and its great. I was suprised how little it tolled my system ( > 2% cpu usage) i was expecting it to be more. I was also suprised at the recording capabilities and the quality of video, its awsome. The remote works great too. Like i said i havent used any other tv tuners but this is great, tons of features, pause tv and scheduel recording, and it was so cheap. a great buy
