5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Card

Pros: It runs every game I throw at it on high settings 60+ FPS even after almost a year and a half. It runs cool, and runs pretty fast. I run the sappihre version of this and its around 50-60 dollars so if you wanna run a low/mid range card i'd buy it.

Cons: Older technology, might as well save up and buy a higher end card

2 out of 5 eggsDo your research!

Pros: 1) Great price.

2) It came from NewEgg.

2) Its pretty large. I had to keep two PCI slots clear to make room for the heat-sink/fan.

3) It requires a 450W power supply, and a free power-cable.

Other Thoughts: I put it in, and couldn't boot. Re-read the specs and realized my power supply was insufficient. So, I bought a 500W power supply, and had to cut a hole in my case to make it fit. PC still wouldn't boot. Did some research and found that the Dell Dimension 4550 motherboard and the ATI X1600Pro simply don't get along -- even though they should.

5 out of 5 eggsFinal Upgrade

Pros: Awesome card for an older machine. Runs great with newest ATI driver (7.10) ( display only, no CC ) Has allowed me to play BF2 on medium to highest settings with no lag at all. Can't beat the price of 80 bucks with a nice heatsink and fan. Also comes with a game (mine was dungeon siege) and lots of connectors incase you want to display to your TV.

Cons: Very large so if you have PCI hardware make sure you have more than one slot available to shuffle things around. Card manual recommends you have at least a 450w power supply but mine runs fine on a 430w supply, but I do not have any other power intensive hardware.

Other Thoughts: This is the last thing I could upgrade on my old PC before I have to build from scratch. I could not believe the difference it made in game-play, speed, and looks of any graphical programs/games. It's like I have a brand new computer. main specs of my machine: P4 2.8Ghz, 2GB ddr400 ram, 100 GB HDD 7200rpm.

3 out of 5 eggsDual monitor wont work

Pros: Easy to install and make work with Windows drivers. Its quiet. Thats about it.

Cons: Dual monitors will not work. Trying regular RCA cables and Componet cables to my 40" Samsung 1080p and cannot get the monitor to turn on unless I "swap" my primary monitor. So I know the connections work, it just will not extend the desktop to the TV.
Support for this product seriously sucks. Cannot find any troubleshooting for this type of problem. I have the newest. 8.421.0.0 driver (As of October) and it still has this problem. Tried .net 2.0 beta 2 and .net 3.0 it does the same thing.

Other Thoughts: Microsoft needs to fix these bugs with dual monitors for most video cards. It seems to be a big problem among most cards.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: Great looks, i don't think there are any cards out there that loook better than the Ice Q's. There also, other than liquid cooled, are hardly any cards that cool as well as the Ice Q system. Mine still has yet to go above 20C and that's with it overclocked quite a bit. The Ice Q colling is also very quiet, I can't even hear it over my CPU fan.

Cons: None really, I suppose it's kind of a pain to have to use a floppy power connector as it's very weak, but it's nothing big and they give you an adapter if you don't have any free floppy power cables.

Other Thoughts: HIS gives you a good amount of extra goodies bundled with the card, including a free game, HD cables, DVI to VGA adapter, and more. Overall a great card with the best asthetics and cooling out there. I would definately buy another ICE Q cooled card again.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning nicely

Pros: Runs nicely on all games, but from a gamers stand point it could be a little better. plays mosy games on a med-high settings.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: for the price its a great card, but if your wanting the max settings on all games with no lag, obviously spend more. my suggestion would be if you do go higher go at least to the X1650XT . And of course thers always the x1950pro for $200. plus always go with the more memory if you can, it'll pay off.

4 out of 5 eggsInitital Problems, but card works great

Pros: The upgrade in detail that I get on the games I play (WoW, DDO and Vanguard) is significant over my old 256 card. Installation was very simple and it took me about 5-10 mins.

Cons: If you have a mini ATX case you'll want to be careful! This card is a beast and takes up two spaces in back.

Other Thoughts: Great card, very pleased with it and Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Install

Pros: Very Easy Installation, Quiet and Effective. Bought to use for editing HD video clips and so far this works great! Can't really comment on gaming.

Cons: None as of yet. NOTE: If you order the TURBO edition, you will end up getting the non-turbo unit. Manufacturer sent only the non turbo models so be advised. Still works like a champ.

Other Thoughts: Some have had problems with drivers working on this card. It is important to remove all previous drivers and disable onboard graphics is you have that. You must also have Microsoft .Net 2.0 minimum installed before this will work.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!!

Pros: All I can say is WOW... The only thing I wanted it for is BF2. Now, instead of looking like a cheap console game, it looks awesome. Max settings. No overclocking needed. Added bonus my case is running cooler.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Go NEWEGG ! ! !

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card, Great Price

Pros: 512mb memory, DVI/Svideo/VGA ports, awesome heatsink/fan combo.

Cons: HUGE. This took up 2 1/2 slots in my case (I have a mATX board). But I don't use any of my PCI slots, so it was okay. Just remember, objects are bigger than they appear on the pictures!

Other Thoughts: Good card for a great price. Definately worth it if you aren't planning on upgrading the whole board to the PCI-E slots. It's a slower clock speed than I would like (now I'm being picky) but the size of the memory makes up for it. I've tested it out on Phantasy Star Universe and it's a significant upgrade from my ATI 9600 (128mb). Definately worth it. Make sure you update the drivers from ATI immediately. It was a little screwy when it first posted but the updated drivers fixed it immediately. Thanks NEWEGG for fast, safe and cheap service. You now have a life-long hetero-lifemate.
