3 out of 5 eggsWon't Work

Pros: The price for a PCI Video Card.

Cons: Does not work with the Windows 7 Operating system. Great card for XP and others, but if you are looking for something to put in a system that does not have an AGP or PCIe slot, this is not your card. No matter the version 32 or 64 Bit this card will not work with Win 7.

Other Thoughts: Did not do my research as thoroughly as I thought that I did before the purchase. NewEgg and HIS have a great product, but it is not for Win 7. Doubt there will be a fix since this is a legacy card.

5 out of 5 eggsRenew Old Computer

Pros: I have four of these and they help those old computers run the New Monitors that are so resource Hungry.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Windows already has the drivers in the driver data base, no need for an Internet Connection. Pop it in and you are ready to go on Windows XP Pro.

2 out of 5 eggsW7 Issues

Pros: Runs a single monitor

Cons: Box (and accompanying documentation) does not appear to allow W7 compatibility. Legacy and most-recent ATI Catalyst drivers/sw fails to install to control this card.

Other Thoughts: Will have to send back to Newegg

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works depending on what you need it for, but for me it totally sucked!

Cons: This card stated it is Direct X 9... That is false, it actually is Direct X 8, there for, I had to send it back because my games I use work on Direct X 9 and above, I see a lot of Video cards with the same verbiage and Who can you trust when You find out otherwise, but the truth, I will no longer buy anything related on Video cards from ATI/Radion.

Other Thoughts: I work hard for my money and can't keep returning Video cards back because of compatibility issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: PCI, plug-n-play with VIsta and Windows 7.

Cons: Only 128 MB of ram, but that's what I was buying. In hinesight, I'd go for 256 MB to support normal 1080 resolutions.

Drivers for Windows Server is hard to come by.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to install into an old Windows Home Server.

3 out of 5 eggsworks fine... but not for linux video

Pros: this works, is PCI and helps put new life in old computers. Even comes with drivers. Good 2d for basic computing

Cons: drivers/support.
at least for Linux, AMD no longer supports this chipset. In Linux you use the open source driver which is ok for computing but terrible for video. I had to return this and get an old NVIDIA card to do the same job since they offer more support. I bought this to turn an old shuttle with a PCI slot into a media player, just 720p video. The card could output 720p just fine for a desktop and applications but the card just died on video, 720 or even standard 480i. It was the rivers not the card.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what the support/drivers offered for windows are. A CD came with it but I'm pretty sure that at most it might have Vista drivers. I did see that it had the XP, 2000 drivers. Just keep that in mind.
3 eggs if you have the right setup for the drivers, 0 if you don't.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for surfing and email

Pros: If you've got less than 2gbs of memory installed and your onboard video adapter is eating up your memory, buy one of these and look into adding more memory, thats what this card is really great for: freeing up other resources. Great card, easy to install, Dell dimension 2400 picked it right up, use the drivers from AMD.com, not from the disc given.

Cons: This is great for an alternative to onboard graphic memory for older pc's.

Other Thoughts: It's really only worth about 30 bucks, but it does what it's intended for and then some.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Video for an Old Computer

Pros: Straightforward video card. Sharp display, good colors. Plays VLC videos just fine at 1280x1024 full screen. This replaced a flaky AGP card, and even though it's only PCI, it seems just as fast.

Cons: None. However, I chose the custom install for the driver and loaded just the minimum that I could.

Other Thoughts: The computer, I have here, is a 1.3 GHz Celeron, 1GB ram, running Win2000. It's still quick and responsive, which is why I keep it around.
