5 out of 5 eggsStable and Cool

Pros: IceQ3 setup cools nicely even tho this card is massive(as long as the mobo is wide). Nice looking in a case w/ blue cold cathodes and is overclockable to xl even tho i havent tried it yet. Boosted my fps from my old x800 in source from 50 to 120.

Cons: large and seated a little funny in my asus board but it fit and its stable. HIS website is a mess. They have some serious site resdesign to do.

Other Thoughts: system specs 2 gig mushkin ram ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe mobo, am2 athlon64x2 4200 320 gb west dig hdd antec 550w high efficiency psu

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Easy unlock with ATI Winflash and Hex Editor.
Recommend just mod your own bios ... not flash new one.
OC's fine. Extreme cooling gives extreme OC. Image quality is outstanding.
Runs with 16 pipes at 600/600 very easily. scores in the 8K

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsAn XL card in disguise...

Pros: Like the previous reviewer, my card also says its an XL model on the sticker and I unlocked it to 16 pipelines. These cards have almost universally be able to unlock to 16 pipes with a bios flash to XL. Additionally, the card ran stable at 650/630 WITHOUT the unlock, and some luckier people can get it over 700/700.

Cons: After unlocking the speeds are pretty much set at the default XL speeds (500/500).

Other Thoughts: Both unlocking or raising the speeds are viable options for getting the most of the these cards. Most important is not to be afraid to flash this card with XL bios. They are in fact XL cards with 4 pipelines inactive (you can check the sticker on the back to convince yourself). If you're lucky you may be able to get the core and memory speeds very high and achieve a huge boost INSTEAD of the bios flash, but it requires raising the voltage to the core and memory. In my case the difference was small so the bios flash was better than raising the voltages. And alsways remember to set any sppeds back to default in the control panel before flashing.

5 out of 5 eggsit IS unlockable

Pros: This one IS unlockable. I ordered it on 7/30/06, and on the underside of the card is a serial number sticker that still says x1800xl! It just has a little red sticker to cover up the xl part because they flashed the bios to 12 pipes (gto).

Cons: Power hungry... had to get new PSU. I'd say it's heavy, but the copper heat-pipe cooler is worth the weight.

5 out of 5 eggsPower info

Pros: possibly unlockable to x1800XL (google it)
very nice high-middle-end gpu
this particular card has great reviews all over the internet

Cons: They didn't disclose the power information on the site here.

Other Thoughts: The box says minimum 450w power supply with 30a rating on the 12v rail.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing OC

Pros: This particular model is one of the rare GTO's that is based on the X1800XT pcb and therefore does not have the voltage bug associated with the X1800XL pcb. You can flash the bios to unlock 16 pipes and full voltage control and temperature monitoring. My cards stock 3DMark05 score was ~6500 after unlocking the pipes and oc'ing to 700/700 I am scoring 10,400. Stock cooler is equivalent to an Artic Cooling solution...my card idles around 46c and under full load hits 77c.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you are comfortable with vbios flashing and oc'ing this card represents an incredible value.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Good value/performance and you can unlock the extra pipelines.

Cons: No real cons yet. Card works great so far and runs my favorite games well.

Other Thoughts: ati flashtool and sapphire x1800xl bios = unlock the extra pipelines. According to one review unlocking the pipelines gives you an 8% performance increasing but if you dont unlock, the card will overclock higher and give you a better performance increase.

Sys Specs:
X2 3800+
DFI Lanparty UT CFX3200-DR
1GB Corsair XMS
x2 WD Raptor RAID0
OCZ 700watt PCU
This video card DUH!

4 out of 5 eggsRequires 450-Watt PSU

Pros: Can't actually say yet, other than it looks pretty snazzy.

Cons: I was unable to find the power requirement anywhere before I purchased it. HIS website has a link to manuals, but it kept timing out for me.

Other Thoughts: Don't take advice from anyone unless they are a gamer! I had a professional computer technician tell me I'd never need more than 400 watts, even with crossfire. ><

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome

Pros: Great Card Unlocks 4 extra pipes. Runs all the games on high no problem

Cons: Not packaged with any good ocin software. ATI tool .24 didnt pick it up so had to use a .25 beta which has no fan controlling

Other Thoughts: I own a cheap processor. FPS is bottlednecked there.
