5 out of 5 eggsX1650 is a Good Card

Pros: I got the X1650, not the pro. But, this is a great card. Plays BF2 maxed out, plays Test Drive Unlimited at 1024x768 on high with anti aliasing. Great card for the money. Beats the pants off of my 7200gs. Fast shipping.

Cons: I didn't buy it sooner.

Other Thoughts: P4 650 @ 3.4ghz, 3gb DDR2 667, Asus P5LD2, 256mb HIS x1650, Vantec dual fan pci card slot cooler, Datstor 5.25 drive cooler, pci slot blower above gfx card, additional 80mm fans, Logisys 575w SLi psu

4 out of 5 eggsdecent card

Pros: I have had this card for a couple of days now and it runs very smoothly. The drivers were very easy to install and from the cd it links you straight to the website to get to most recent drivers. I had my computer running in less than 20 minutes. This card can run battlefield 2 on high, call of duty 2, it cant run bf 2142 on high but over all it is a very good card. It is very silent, I congradulate HIS for making their products almost silent. I could not hear the card running at all. Does not need an extra power supply in the back, the pci-express slot covers it.

Cons: The card is a bit big, and it takes up another slot. (It is not a big problem at all unless you have many expansion cards.) Not Direct X 10 compatible.

Other Thoughts: The PRO version of the card has much slower Memory clock speed and it has DDR-2 type memory. IT has a great core clock speed but the memory speed is slow.. I saw a better deal here on newegg, and I bought the Radeon HD2600XT
But this card is allright for the price, you can find a better card for a little more and better perfomance.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent cooling design

Pros: This replaced a video card in client's computer which burned out due to extended use & a case design with low airflow.

The cooling mechanism on this card is very effective, keeping it just more than luke-warm. Additionally, the 'blower' (or centrifugal) fan works much better than a regular fan mounted flat against a heatsink. And due to dust issues, it will also last longer.

Installed without issue, no driver problems at all. The card had more than enough power for video capture and moderately taxing PC games.

An excellent value.

Cons: Really, none.

Other Thoughts: Due to the additional cooling, this card 'did' take two slots in the back of the case.. the PCI-E slot, and the space of the nearest PCI slot for the cooling & blower.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performence for a budget gamer

Pros: Low Price, Can play all games out now(7/25/07) and they look great, 128 bit memory interface with 256mb gddr2 for under 75 bucks. Quiet and cool. Vista 4.4 experience index for aero 4.9 for GAMING!

Cons: May need to move a pci card the cooler takes up a whole slot under the card(not that big a deal though)

Other Thoughts: Wonderful card, cheap and powerful gives a vista Video experience idex subscore of 4.4 not bad for the cheap price to run aero and 4.9 for gaming, thats awsome. Would highly recommend this card to the budget gamer, i just ran fable 1024x768 all effects and it looked bueatiful and smooth.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: This card is quick! No hassle installation had my machine up in 10 mins. If you have a video card bottlenecking your gaming rig this is your card!

Cons: The card did have issues with COH but it didn't keep the game from being played. I blame the game programmers more then HIS.

Other Thoughts: If you need a Hot Rod card with out having to OC it yourself this your card.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok i guess.........

Pros: It's a great compromise between quality and price. Not as noisy as other people have said it is. It runs cool and quiet. It can run most next gen games. Nice upgrade from my old X700. Has shader model 3.0. Came with a free game. Has a rebate for all the crafty people.

Cons: It can next gen games on low quality (like 800x600). I can only play rainbow six: Vegas and splinter cell: double agent on low quality with out the game being laggy. Not quite what I expected but its ok.

Other Thoughts: It will hold me off until ATI unleashes its new DirectX 10 card (which will PWN nvidia's 8800).

2 out of 5 eggsAbout As Quiet As A Jumbo Taking Off

Pros: It's an X1650!

Cons: Big disappointment. Box and marketing collateral marks this as an ultra quiet card operating at below 20dB. If only that were the case. The card is noisy with a constant buzz in the background. HIS Hightech is non existent.

Other Thoughts: If you want a regular card with the regular amount of noise associated with such a card then this will work for you. If you are looking for a quiet card, look elsewhere.
