Amazing card
- Pros: GDDR4 Memory.
DirectX 10 Silent. Heavy (Yes, this is a pro). Comes with all adapter you need.
- Cons: Only 256MB 128-bit memory. Some may view the flame vinyl a bit "cheesy", but I love it.
- Other Thoughts: I am not a hardcore gamer at all so I can not give you how this card rates in games, FPS, ect.
I only have a 17" monitor :( (Upgrading)
It was a huge upgrade from my Radeon X300 SE xD
The card is red, which is awesome in my case as I am using a chassis with tons of blue leds, so the card looks sweet.
I already used this card for my build, and am getting ready to buy it for another.
Don't hesitate, just buy it. (Get it before the rebate ends) You'll be happy
Wha...?
- Pros: ...
- Cons: ...
- Other Thoughts: How in the world did someone get their core to 1 ghz? i have mine running at 850...stable but it absolutely will not go any higher. I have the same setup as that guy: AMD 3800 X2 (can't get it higher than 2.6 stable), 2 gb DDR2 800, HD 2600Xt. Help would be appreciated.
Moto- not correct
- Pros: see other thoughts
- Cons: see other thoughts
- Other Thoughts: Mr Moto- you explained the frequency correctly- but I don't agree with the whole motherboard HDMI header thing. Since the card itself contains a 5.1 audio chip what is the point of the header? My only guess is that if you have a great onboard audio or a audio card, then the HDMI header might allow you to bypass the onboard 5.1 audio that is resident on the card. I think the issue the other reviewer had is they either were not successful in loading the audio drivers correctly, or that the windows settings were not set right to use the audio coming off of the videocard. Either way Radeon 2K & 3K series do not need any external connectors to pass audio to the HDMI port, although- some NVIDIA card that do sport HDMI interface do require an external connector, since those cards do not have onboard audio codecs.
