4 out of 5 eggsGreat performance, but....

Comments: Has great performance. Got mine to OC to 550 core and over 1150 memory thanks to the great cooling. However, after 2 months, the fan started to die on me. I did some research and found out that the fans used for this card (Arctic Cooling Silencers) are known for dying quickly. I RMA'ed the card and got a full refund, went out and got a 6800 GT instead.
For the price it's at right now, it's a great buy, considering you can reach x800 XT speeds easily. Unfortunately, you can't unloke the last 4 pipelines.
Overall, a very solid card. But beware the fan. 4 stars.

5 out of 5 eggsFlat out awesome

Comments: I got this card to replace an overheating MSI 6600GT, and I am astonished at how much of a beast this card is. Chews games up and spits them out. This card Idles around 33C and max I have recorded (ATI Tool temp log) is 50C. Ambient temperature in my room gets over 80F; this is JUST what I needed.

Benchmarks... my 3000+ Winchester socket 939 is a bit of a bottleneck to this card. GFX scored 9,185 and my CPU only scored 8,984! CPU should always be faster than the video card to ensure best peak performance ;) But I'm broke.

AM3 - 60,789 (ALL stock!!!)
3d03 - 9946 (proc is a bottleneck, w00t)
3d05 - 4847 (and again lol)

This is ALL stock!!! Get this card. It pwns. This card can break 10K in 3d03 with a proc faster than mine. I run HL2, Far Cry, Counter-Strike Source, Battlefield 2, and all of my other games at 1152x864 (my desktop resolution) at all settings maxed, with 4xAA and max AF. I even used the overrides in the control panel to force 4xAA Temporal and 16xAF. Ati Truform is also quite nifty!!!!

Install was a breeze. When I had an nVidia EVGA 6800 vanilla and an MSI 6600GT, I had many problems with refresh rates and slight monitor flickering. I got this card, and I can now do over 72Hz on my monitor again, my screen doesn't look like it has a slight little flicker to it, and everything runs so smooth. I love this card. I will never again go back to nVidia.

5 out of 5 eggsReplaced 9800Pro O/Cd...

Comments: I replaced a 9800Pro O/Cd with this card and was like moving from an MX to the 9800Pro!
Doom3 1200x1600 ultra detail smooth on a 3500+ AMD64.

Newegg somehow decided to accept my return for the 9800Pro (I thought it was burned) and gave me full credit for the 9800. I rolled that right into this card. Again, well worth the little extra cash. Never going back to Nvidia.

Newegg staff: You guys are amazing. I don't shop anywhere else.

5 out of 5 eggsMake this your last APG Card

Comments: I got this card to play Battlefield 2 since my old GF4 Ti 4400 wasn’t supported. This card is excellent and has great over-clocking ability. It is not a VIVO model however so you cannot bios flash unlock the last 4 pixel pipelines. You CAN however easily run the GPU and RAM at X800 XT or even PE speeds.

Most likely this is the last AGP card I’m going to buy before moving to PCIE and it does not disappoint.
My hats off to this company and I look forward to buying from them in the future.

Comments: Purchased this card a week ago and I must say that this card is amazing. After the right tweaks and drivers this card is awesome. Scored 10,500 in 3DMark03 right away. Can play every game at 1600x1200 maxed out.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Egg Rocks

Comments: NEW EGG ROCKS! Didn't come with one of the CD's and I didn't realize until it was happily in my computer. New Egg set up a special order to get the missing CD to me. I've done a lot of business with N.E> and will continue to do so.

I also got this card to replace 9800 pro and was blown away by the performance. I'm also running the core at 540 and mem at 1.1 GHz and still runs plenty cool. I have the auto fans set to pretty conservative settings and it still has only ever run at 2/3 max RPM without getting very hot so I think there's a lot more headroom if I wanted to push it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot that impressed

Comments: I tell you I am not that impressed with this card comparing it to my 9800 pro aiw other then the benchmarks
it overclocks well and the cooler is great but as far as gaming I think i would have been satisfied with another 9800 pro his.
its better on the newer games farcry, doom3 ect. but as far as bf 1942 or bf vietnam it burps a little I amd running a 2.5 amd and a 3.2 pent 4 both with pc 3500, amd cas 2333 pent 4 cas 2338 if you dont have money to blow go 9800 pro. I feal the hardware is a head of the software..:-)

5 out of 5 eggsWhat can be said....

Comments: I was very leery of this company (not the card) because it is new to me. I've had it for several months now and it hasn't once flickered or in games like Doom 3, Far cry, and Half-life 2 ever had any frames drop or studder along. I paid a whole bunch more for the card back then but now I'd buy another without second thoughts, in fact I have an Athlon 64 4000+ screaming for a new card
