Pros: None. Didn't even load drivers.

Cons: Only works with Windows 2000 and XP. Complete waste of money.

4 out of 5 eggsThe right choice.

Pros: I was upgrading my old PC for my wife to use for light office work. She likes to watch movies while she works. This card was just the right choice.

Cons: None yet !

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS

Pros: zero

Cons: We bought 2, to have 4 monitors. Neither worked. Doesn't work on Vista 64-bit. Their website doesn't even load. Just save yourself some time and buy something else

1 out of 5 eggsNOT WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE

Pros: NONE

Cons: This is not Windows 7 compatible. I even tried some shady third party drivers. They didn't work either. I bought it to run triple monitors and it failed epically.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this. If you already own one, just dump it in some inconsequential linux box and forget about it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear HIS Customer,

Thank you for your purchase and your valuable feedback.

Please kindly notice 9250 is not Windows 7 compatible as AMD didn't release driver updates for it.

We recommend you to check out the HIS 4350 PCI card which support DirectX 10.1 and come with advanced feature set.

2 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this!

Pros: Has a cool looking box...
Hasn't broken down.

Cons: Slow! The only game I get double digit fps is on linerider!
My card's max res is 1440x900 with many artifacts
Only supports DirectX 8!
More expensive that newer, faster cards.
No overclocking capabilities, if that's important to you.

Other Thoughts: This card was obsolete when I bought it in 2004!
There is no longer support for it. Last updatd from ATi in mid 2006! Not compatible with Windows 7. I am stuck with 800x600 and 16 bit color! I'm replacing with a GeForce 8400 GS

Manufacturer Response:

Dear HIS Customer,

Thank you for your purchase and your valuable feedback.

THe HIS 9250 256MB PCI supports Microsoft® DirectX® 8.1 feature sets. It comes with four rendering pipelines for the fastest 3D gaming performance in its class. I hope the information will be useful to you. Please feel free to contact us again if you have further questions.
Again, thank you for support on HIS products.

Warm Regards,

4 out of 5 eggsDoesn't support Widescreen LCD

Pros: PCI slot interface, works well with older computers, and it also supports DirectX 9.

Cons: As the title stated. The only downfall from rating it 5 stars.

Other Thoughts: RMA for refund with some money loss (restocking fee). Newegg rep. was pleasantly handled my issue and issued me free shipping label as well. Then I ordered Sparkle Brand Geforce 8400GS PCI slot interface card.

3 out of 5 eggsWasn't a upgrade to my 2003 onbord.

Pros: Installed very easy, probably a good card for very old computers...that's about it...

Cons: I got this as a up grade to a old Compaq i had that only had PCI, to my disappointment the on board graphx was better, i upgraded the drivers, messed with the settings but nothing...i couldn't believe the on board was better being i bought the computer around 2003 and its kinda junk.....

Other Thoughts: so...if your up grading something older then 2003 then you should have luck with this card but if not don't wast the money like did.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: 256mb, good 20+ fps improvement on De_dust2 in counterstrike-source at 1024x768 with medium texture quality. Much smoother than my old Fx5200. Over clocks better too. Plays guild wars like a champ.

Cons: Low quality ram chips, but for a legacy PCI card, who really cares. Not too much of an increase in 3dMarks, but I've never been much for dyno results anyway.

Other Thoughts: Not really a gaming card, but it put some life back into my old dell.

4 out of 5 eggsNICE BUT NOT GREAT

Pros: VERY EASY INSTALL. WILL RUN VISTA W/ A RATING OF 1.0. HANDLES BATTLEFIELD 1942 WELL. DOES A GREAT JOB OF HANDLING XP PRO.

Cons: NOT RECOMMENDED FOR VISTA. BUT U CAN GET XP AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE VISTA.

Other Thoughts: i WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE DIRECTX 9 BUT IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT PAYING ATTENTION. IF U ARE A NEWBIE BUY ONE WITH DIRECTX 10 AND OPENGL 2.0.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! It works great!

Pros: It speeded up my 2005 gateway like you wouldn't beleive.. very easy to install..Had a older version with 32 mb of ram...took it out put the 9250 in and updated the driver and we were off..speeded up my internet..games ...and just gen operation...next im gonna up grade my ram to 2g from 512 mg that ought to do the trick..wish i would have bought this two years ago...you love it for a older computer easy to install and works great...very satisfied !!!!

Cons: HAVN'T FOUND ANY YET

Other Thoughts: 512 mgs ram for machine wasn't enough so if ya put this in maybe also think about upgrading your ram...
