Great card smooth installation
- Pros: great single slot card, installed in my Vista 32 bit system with absolutely no hiccups or burps. Software went without a hitch and I was driving my LG 30" monitor at full resolution in less than 20 minutes. I will update if I have any issues down the road.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: newegg is a fantastic retailer.
Dead after 2 Months
- Pros: -When I first got it, the card was taking everything I could throw at it.
-Coming from a 9600GT, this was a huge improvement.
-Was pretty quiet most of the time unless I was playing something graphically intensive.
- Cons: -Card died after 2 months
-Came with only one 6 pin pci-express to molex converter... what about the other one? This card needs two!
- Other Thoughts: First time buyer of this brand and it left me a bad impression. I contacted the RMA department and they responded after 2 days and stated the RMA process would take 2-4 weeks. I'm just going to assume it will take the full 4 weeks as it's already been 3 weeks. Replaced this card with a Sapphire 4890, my long trusted company.

HIS 4870 1G with melted fan.
- Pros: I have owned the card for about 5 or 6 months. It seems a good quality graphics.
- Cons: Card worked fine for 5 or 6 months when computer started turning off. After checking messaging in the event viewer. I found an atimag message stating the video card had overheated and computer was shut down. Opened case and found video card fan had seized. Furthermore, card had overheated so much that plastic fan had MELTED!
- Other Thoughts: I also own 2 Sapphire 1G 4870s. Hopefully, they are of better quality.
