5 out of 5 eggsBought this card two years ago

Pros: This card has performed well for over 2 years now. It overclocks really well too for having a baseline heatsink. If you need a good card cheap this one here is a champ. Plays all my games maxxed still (although i dont play super high resolutions because my 780p monitor)

Cons: Its hot... really hot... I have a HAF 932 And it scares me having it in there with a 4.0ghz 955 BE oc on air in the same case... Warms my room up in the winter lol

Other Thoughts: I never bought from HIS prior and was skeptical but It has earned its keep it was the best little budget graphics card I have ever had. I was always a nvidia fan till this card.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid card for the price

Pros: Nice heatsink, I added a 2nd 4850 my first being a sapphire and in crossfire I get about double the performance. I ran benchmarks on Just Cause 2 and it increased my score in 1920 x 1080 ultra settings 2x AA by about 80% or so.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: core 2 duo oc'd @ 3.56
4 gig gskill 1066

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck

Pros: Low cost, good game performance, key part of a budget gaming rig. Quiet and cool operation.

Cons: DDR3 instead of DDR5
512mb instead of 1gb

Other Thoughts: Building a gaming rig for a customer with a $500 budget. I was able to go from mid range performers to a much better gaming gpu.

For a bigger budget there are better performing options.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Great affordable graphics card for people who don't have a super high res monitor. I can play every game at max settings with awesome frame rates, and it even overclocks reasonably well for the price.

Cons: 2 slot card that doesn't blow the heat out of the case, all the heat the card produces stays inside. Not an issue with a good case, but a problem with cases that have bad air flow.

Other Thoughts: Really good for the price

5 out of 5 eggsBeast

Pros: Plays CoD 4 Modern Warfare in HD on high everything. CSS gets 150fps average.

Cons: Catalyst Contriol Center crashes the GPU. happened a few times since I installed it, including with the onboard graphics (HD3200)

Other Thoughts: Bought it used. Performance numbers from wikipedia are 10/25/63.55 vs the onboard 2/2/20. The jump in performance is incredible, this thing is a BEAST!. It's got a Zalman coller and I am impressed with the cool and quietness. GPU-Z reports 43C GPU temp on idle.

5 out of 5 eggsHIS 4850 HD

Pros: Real cool and silent. I had a asus eah 4850 HD but the chip was broken it was running 61 degrees on idle and 90 on full load (ridiculus). This HIS is running at 32 degrees on idle and 45-50 on full load in a HAF 932 case.

Cons: Nothing much to say on this card, real great performance/price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs CryEngine 2. I've had it hit 50 fps at 1440x900 and Very High Settings.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: It's a little loud... But not really.. No louder than a CD spinning up... Runs great!

When I stuck this card in, Windows 7 WEI dropped my CPU score from 7.0 to 3.7 -- I was using the onboard HD 4200 GPU before. But my GPU score went from 4.0 to 7.3. :P

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Like other users, it runs Crysis and warhead at maximum detail with nice fps.

Cons: It doesn't make me my food

Other Thoughts: I had a doubt whether my PSU could handle this card, given that I have a thermaltake 430W I was taking a risk (450W minimum) but I was told I would be ok and not short of power.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs Crysis !111!!!11.

Great card, great price. Talked myself out of needing DX11 and I'm happy with the extra performance boost.

Cons: Runs a bit hot idle, but doesn't raise too much or make oto much noise under load.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: powerful card, a little overkill for my wife's dual core xp machine, runs cool, handles all the things i need it too

Cons: draws a good bit of power

Other Thoughts: read the system requirements before you buy, make sure your power supply is able to handle this card. the card came with a power adapter that had two molex plugs on it, but the paperwork says do not use any power adapters. this is a great card for the money.
