5 out of 5 eggsMonsters

Pros: Great card especially in crossfire gives the 295 a nice run for its money for $100 Cheaper

Crysis Benchmark 1400,900 HDR (max Settings for win xp)
Loop3 (when more is loaded to mem)
Min FPS: 26.85 at frame 164
Max FPS: 63.29 at frame 69
Avg FPS: 44.77
Play time:44.67s

Cons: It is a big guy in my Raidmax smilodon EB(green) Case i had removed the HDD cage to allow plenty of room but if on a case like haf 932 the power cord layout is usefull vs the side layout of the other cards

Other Thoughts: Build

CPU: Amd955 (stock)
RAM: Mushkin 4gb ddr3 1600mhz Cas7
GPU: 2x HIS Turbo+ Radeon 4890's

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Video Card

Pros: This card scores high in windows 7 assessment. 7.7 score for both the graphics and 3d graphics. Comes with converter so you have HDMI. Gaming graphics look intense even with older games. Can max out the resolution on all my games and play them without any graphical flaws what so ever. The cooling system on this card is outstanding. This is definitely the best video card i have ever owned. does not take as much power as most of it competitors comparable cards.

Cons: The only con that I really have with this card is its size. It is massive would never fit in most of the oem computers. Even with my mid atx Cool master storm it takes the entire length of my case. With the power wires attached i had to swing the end of the card into the cd/dvd drive bay and than had to move it into position to insert the card.

5 out of 5 eggsAWsome

Pros: Plays all my games perfect on 1920x1080 i just played call of duty mw 2 on it no lag at all. every game i throw at it gets demolished. i stepped up from a 8800gt to this very big difference

Cons: little loud but not enough to annoy me

Other Thoughts: worth the money very good price/performance

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but overclocking is silly

Pros: It's a Radeon HD 4890, and the price is right. I can run most popular modern games except Crysis with everything maxed at 1080p. It's pretty awesome.

Cons: Don't count on the mail-in rebate as it is a huge pain. Also the overclocking results in maybe a 3 fps gain *tops* and is not worth the extra heat, though the heat won't be an issue if your case has decent airflow. (I ended up using the ATI drivers to clock it back down to standard speeds without no perceptible drop in performance.)

Other Thoughts: Be aware that this card requires a 6-pin power connector IN ADDITION TO an 8-pin. My crossfire PSU's second PCI-connector just so happened to double as an 8-pin, but wow that could have been annoying.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat are you waiting for?

Pros: FAST card. Factory overclocked to 965MHz. Work beautiful in crossfire. Play Flight Simulator X with all sliders maxed out at 30 fps (which for FSX is outstanding).

Cons: Quality control....Received two of these cards. One was as it should be and the other was labeled as this card but was in actuality a standard 4890. H.I.S. tech support takes 12+ hours to respond as they are on the other side of the planet from the US. Card's fan is loud at anything over 40% BUT crank it to 50% and the card cools down immediately

Other Thoughts: Called Newegg for an RMA on the card that was in the wrong box. The lady sent out the RMA label the same day and Next day aired the new card to me. Total turn-time on this card...7 days door to door. Never doubt the Egg.

4 out of 5 eggsYou'd think it'd be easier...

Pros: -Much faster than my HD3870
-Giant Fan
-Came with free copy of Stormrise

Cons: One thing: This card is horribly difficult to install. Why? See below...Because it requires 2 power connectors - a 6-pin and 8-pin. My power supply has 2 6-pin and an 8-pin connector...except the 8-pin connector didn't fit. I've always seen video cards just use 6-pin so I don't know why it didn't just use 2 6-pin instead of this weird shaped 8-pin. It came with a "two 4-pin to one 8-pin" adapter cable but I was almost out of the 4-pin to begin with. After 2 hours of error messages about the power connectors not being plugged in, it finally worked. IMO, I think HIS made this card overly difficult to install.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD!!! Impressed so Far

Pros: Ok well first off I wanted to stay away from Nv due to all the issues I had with their MB & VC's the past 18months. So for the first time since the 1990's I tried non-nvidia build. Am I impressed; Hell Yeah!! This Card is amazing for the Price and as soon as I have some xtra cash going to get another for Crossfire. I upgraded from the 8800gtx.

Cons: None so far! Right now playing Aion with everything on Highest Setting and is working like a dream!

Other Thoughts: This card dosent seem to run as hot as my 8800'gtx's. On just low load I get between 39-42; and on heavy load Im getting 49-54. This is on Air; havent tried to OC it yet but will be getting to that soon. I have a Zalman VC Heatsink here and will probably use that before I do any OC'n with this card.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice card, works great on every game I own. Currently playing Dragon Age: Origins on it and it works great on Very High settings with 4x aliasing.

Cons: Only con is that it does run a little hot under load, but it will kick up fan when it needs to cool back down. So really not so much of a con.

Other Thoughts: Very nice, buy ,buy, buy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat step up from 8800GT...

Pros: Easy install (just had to uninstall all NVIDIA software and download latest Catalyst driver first ), and a jaw-dropping improvement from my 8800GT. For my first time using the Catalyst Control Center, I'll say it's an intuitive utility with plenty of tweaks. Having used nothing but NVIDIA cards and drivers since the original GeForce256, I was expecting a rougher transition, but that turned out to be unfounded. As for performance, this card will simply make you smile, especially when you consider what you paid for it. Your mileage will vary, but I was managing 70+fps in Fallout 3 on Ultra quality and 8x anti-aliasing, 1360 x 768.

Cons: Loud. Especially when it's being pushed. Definitely louder at idle than my reference 8800GT, but the fan isn't nearly as whiney as the 8800GT even at 50%. Will it take some getting used to? Sure. Is the performance worth it? You bet your RAM it is. (yes, that actually sounded cool in my head)

Other Thoughts: Not much else to say. While the fan noise is a tad irksome, I am more than willing to accept it considering the powerhouse it's cooling. For the price (and even in general), this is one serious card.

For comparison purposes, my config is as follows:

GA-EP45-UD3P
C2D E6420 2.13GHz @ 3.2GHz
Zalman CNPS7700cu on the CPU
2GB Patriot Viper 800MHz 3-4-3-8 2.3v
HIS HD4890 Turbo+, stock clocks
Windows XP 32bit
