5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little card

Pros: One of the best AGP cards available . Will play newer games like Crysis and Crysis II in "MID" details at 800x600 resolution . In order to get this card to work on your DELL correctly you MUST do a clean install of the OS if not you may get Blue screens while gaming.

Cons: Time to do a fresh install of the OS :(

Other Thoughts: If you want to keep your older Pc around a bit longer you need this card . It will payback 1080p blue rays if you use a player that supports h 264 codec. hardware accelerated.
Google "Classic media player with hardware acceleration" and enjoy!

Thanks Newegg and HIS for having this card in Stock.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: My 9 year old computer can now play 720p video full screen, instead of just 360p in a window.

Cons: Driver installation issues. Driver installation seems bloated, installs net frame, etc.

Other Thoughts: I ran into problems when I uninstalled my old video drivers per the directions. When restarting the system, it would reinstall the video driver without giving me the option to not install it. You’re suppose to select not install, then shut down your system before removing old card and putting in the new video card. I finally got around that.

The HDMI cable/display looked a bit fuzzy and performance wasn’t so good on my 720p monitor/tv. Plus, I don’t like the sound being routed to the monitor/TV and not the computer speakers. I connected the std. VGA cable and at first the color was a bit off (pink/purplish) and there were some glitches in the display. Performance wasn’t great either. Note: Remember to always tighten your video cable well. That fixed my color issue mostly, after considerable time trying other things, LOL. It occasionally still seems not as white as it should be despite color adjustments. Time will tell if this card continues to work O.K.

The original driver CD included is 4 years old. I downloaded the latest drivers from the ATI web-site and installed. Now, I’m getting what I wanted to make this dinosaur last just a little bit longer. I can now play 720p full screen with only an occasional frame drop, non at 480p. Before I could only play at 360 in a smaller window. System is a 9 year old e-machine AMD XP2700, 2 megs memory, 430 watt power supply, Win XP SP3. My power supply fan is a bit loud, so if the new video card fan adds any noise, I can’t hear any difference.

Pros: Thought is would be a good low cost video card

Cons: After one month, the video card began to flicker and now no longer displays. Attempted to call HIS tech support, but only got voicemail. They said that they would call back within two days...

Other Thoughts: I hope this won't be hard to replace. Don't hink I would by from this manufacture again.

2 out of 5 eggsDo yourself a favor

Pros: Cool looking package

Cons: Most motherboards with AGP do NOT work with this card bcuz its ddr3, the motherboards will not reconize them so it wont work, mostly with dells, but if youre lucky it might work with some computers.

Other Thoughts: none

Pros: AGP with decent GPU, HDMI

Cons: would not work in a dell, worked in a gateway, though.

Other Thoughts: I was disappointed this would not work in the Dell that I got it for, I tested in an old gateway that has a AGP port, and it worked fine there, just not in the Dell

4 out of 5 eggsHIS 4350

Pros: Works great with XP-32/SP-3 in a Northwood 2.4, Abit AI7, 1Gig machine.

Cons: Unable to load Win 7 on this machine with this video card, hangs-then "unexpectedly shutsdown-restarts" over and over again, unable to load any drivers because of restarts. But can load Win 7 the earlier card an HD 2600 Pro with no problems. But cannot exchange the 2600 with 4350 without Win 7 entering a restart loop.

Other Thoughts: If you are hoping use this with Win 7, best of luck

3 out of 5 eggsDifficult to use, but alright

Pros: Once you get the card working, this card is the best you can get for an AGP card. Plays some games at recent frame rates. Granted, I play older games like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2.

Cons: -Expensive
-Pain in the neck to install. You can't be connected to the internet in Windows, or else it will BSOD with the drivers it downloads. You must use the drivers on the disc.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I should just upgrade my video card. This is a very good holdover until then.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work in Dell

Pros: VGA, DVI and HDMI

Cons: Does not work

Other Thoughts: Dell GX240
AGP slot
300 Watt PSU
Card should work as it draws 5-25 watts
Computer will not post.
Appears not to work in Dell machines from the many other comments with the same problem, some kind of compatibility problem. Took a chance because it was the only low profile AGP card with HDMI

1 out of 5 eggsHDMI audio - total failure

Pros: Easy installation of video drivers. Pretty fast card for old PC with AGP

Cons: I purchased this highly overpriced video card just for one simple reason - to have my HD TV to work with HTPC having AGP bus.

HDMI was total failure with sound never worked on it. Tried three different models of motherboards with Windows-7 SP1 (32 and 64 bit) and Vista SP2 (32-bit). Also tried to download latest drivers from HIS and AMD. No luck wasting 3 days!

Totally useless unless you are deaf and can enjoy HDTV without sound.

I read tons of articles. This is a well-know issue with "High Definition Audio Controller" on AGP-based cards. It shows up on the list of system devices but never works and Playback devices list in "Sound" properties is blank. Most articles explain this as a common "feature" of AGP - it cannot properly share IRQ between audio and video.

I guess the only way for motherboards with AGP to have sound over HDMI is using a video card with SPDIF input, hook it up to SPDIF connector from MoBo and then use a DVI-HDMI adapter.

Other Thoughts: Since I didn't have other choice to make HDMI working with AGP-based MoBo - I tried to gamble with this card even after reading all comments about it but hoping to make it working. Finally I gave up and requested RMA

1 out of 5 eggs500 Watts

Pros: Never got it too work

Cons: Never got it too work

Other Thoughts: My power supply is 400 watts. This card needs 500 watts. Can you say read everything before you buy. My 30 day returns has expired. I will have to sell it, but at the top I will state in very bold letters 500 WATTS NEEDED.
