5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT WIN7 MCE CARD!

Pros: Perfect 1080i deinterlacing PQ for OTA HDTV in Windows 7 Media Center. Card runs silent and and the arctic cooling sucks heat out of my stagnant media center case. This card runs circles around my 9500GT as far as overall HD PQ is concerned. I love how you can change all the video processing options in the ATI drivers! Nvidia hard codes most of their video processing options therefore not giving you a choice. By the way HD Audio bitstreams perfectly to my Pioneer VSX-1120 receiver via Win7 Media Center and 1080P mkv playback has never looked or sounded this good with Nvidia. This is my first ATI card and I am extremely impressed not only with the quality hardware but also with their solid drivers and controls.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: ATI 5550 and up video cards are the best option for PQ and HD Audio bitstreaming that money can buy! Sorry Nvidia you have been trumped in this department.

1 out of 5 eggsSad

Pros: I was very excited...

Cons: For some reason this card would not fit in my case properly. It would go fine in to the motherboard pci-e slot, but the bracket itself would be about 5cm high off my cases back paneling so i could not anchor it on. Aside from this, i also noticed the ports on the back of the card were not lining up well with my cases slot so that i wouldnt have even been able to plug in my hdmi cable all the because it would hit the case and stop...

Other Thoughts: might just be my cases problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: 7.0 Windows Experience Index on both 3d graphics and aero.

Cons: Runs a little hot, idles at 52 C.

Other Thoughts: Runs WoW on ultra with consistently 40+ fps in Northrend.

Plays HL2 / Portal flawlessly on max.

I haven't had any driver issues.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: -Good Price vs Power ratio
-Runs on motherboard power (good for smaller power systems I guess)

Cons: -Runs a little warm; 51c idle 71c max load
-Idles a little high
-Doesn't like to overclock (if you even plan to)

Other Thoughts: Haven't had any problems with it.
Overall a nice little entry level card.
I was surprised what it could run.

1 out of 5 eggsI got one of the bad ones

Pros: On sale at the time.

Cons: Artifacts, overheating, game and system freezes, a BSOD; you name it, I got it with this card.

Other Thoughts: On a technical note, perhaps GDDR5 is too fast for a 128-bit interface.

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough for casual PC gamer

Pros: - OK performance if you're like me and are still playing games from 1 to 2 generations ago (i.e. Rainbow 6 Vegas, FEAR, Civ IV, Stalker)
- Nice large ICE-Q cooler; Relatively quite
- DVI, HDMI, D-Sub connectors (analog connection might be negative for some, but I still own several analog monitors)
-Stable drivers FOR GAMING (Audio/HDMI issues with Win7 MC)

Cons: - simply put, ATI's control panel GUI is simply a mess. ATI could learn A LOT from Nvidia's simple and easy to use control panel GUI. A person SHOULD NOT have to google "ATI overscan" just to figure out how to turn off the default 10% overscan to allow 1:1 display ratio mapping. Something SO SIMPLE should be obvious, but it isn't, and this is just ONE example of the myrid of things that's overly complicated to find & adjust in ATI's nightmare of a GUI. If ATI can't figure hire a proper Design & Usability manager, then for gosh-sake, JUST STEAL THE DESIGN IDEAS DIRECTLY FROM NVIDIA. You're customers would applaud you!
- even though ATI's drivers seem stable for gaming (so far), their drivers definitely still have their quirks. HDMI audio cuts out for few seconds when using Win 7 Media Center every time you do anything.... navigate the menus, FF/RW video, Picture-in-Picture.

Other Thoughts: First off, I'm not going to overhype this card. If you are a serious PC gamer, then stop now and look else where. This card is basically a replacement for the HD4670, previously the fastest video card avail that didn't require external power. If you're a serious gamer but only have a hundred bux, pick up a GTS250 or a HD4850 (not DX11, but it doesn't matter in this lowend performance class). I bought this to replace an ancient nVidia 7600GT 256mb(DDR2 version). Compaired to my old 7600GT, this 5670 SMOKES it. I don't play bleeding edge games on PC anymore. Just too expensive to keep-up with current tech. I moved to console gaming instead. But for older PC games, 2-5 yrs old, this card easily chews through them with all setting at MAX and MORE IMPORTANTLY, at 1920x1080 resolution. My 7600GT couldn't even play RB6 Vegas at decent frame rates @1280x1024 at medium settings before!
For Casual gamer - 4 stars
For Serious gamer - 2 stars

4 out of 5 eggsNo power hookup needed!

Pros: No Extra power leads needed off the PSU.
Easy install not a surfboard size card.
I got this card for a freinds system that i built so she can play med level games but it has no problem with any high end game as well.
Tested L4D on all high settings and still ran at a decent FPS. Med settings gave around 59-60 FPS.

Cons: Runs a little warm. Keep that fan clean!
No free cake.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works but not as noted

Pros: It would have been great if worked as promised. No extra power connector. Fast. I was surprised, even though is one of the slower cards you can play new games on 'medium' settings at 1080p/30fps.

Cons: If you are planning to use this as a HTPC card for TrueHD and DTSHD bitstreaming, forget about it. Buggy drivers. Too many problems to even try to solve them.

Other Thoughts: The 5 series ATI cards are the only graphic cards that can bitstream TrueHD and DTSHD but the bugs on their drivers keeps hurting their reputation. At least they are trying... If you have the patience and time to look for solutions then get this card if not then wait 'till they release better drivers or something better.
Side note: Newegg service is great as always!! Thanks!!

5 out of 5 eggsSlightly updated

Pros: Same person as the one below, I've had a little more time to play with it. I just tried DiRT 2 on ultra settings (all settings maxed out DX11 mode) at 1920x1080 and achieve an average 30-40fps on courses... So to those saying that this is a DX11 card that can't play DX11 games, they have no idea what they are talking about. True, you won't be maxing out settings and getting 60fps, but 30-40 is plenty for me, and that's especially good at this price point.

Cons: -not much

Other Thoughts: This is just an update to my previous impressions.
