4 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: Was a fantastic buy back in 2011 as the best bang for buck card
Plays games well and continues to do so
Affordable, so buying another for crossfire definitely a valid option

Cons: Worked fine for about a year, before BSoD upon starting a game. RMA'd with HIS, got a replacement in about after waiting about a month.
The card fan makes a very loud and very annoying clicking sound after some use that seems to come and go. I experienced this with both the first card and the current replacement card.

Other Thoughts: All in all a good card that I would recommend to anyone considering it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Never had a problem with this card. I've used it in both Linux and Windows operating systems, no problems at all. Loved it. Probably one of the best purchase decisions I have ever made in my life. I ended up getting a 6870 for a 4 monitor setup, but realized I didn't need that many screens and sold my 6850 for a little less than I bought for. No complaints for the buyer.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsGood While it Lasted

Pros: This card worked great while it lasted and ran all my games at medium-high settings at 1080p.

Cons: This card started acting up right away. At first it would not wake up any of my monitors from sleep mode and I was forced to keep my monitor running around the clock. Now it has pretty much totally crashed and will not even sync with any monitor when restarting, powering up, or wakinng from sleep mode.

I have replaced everything else in my PC and even tried it in two other desktops to no avail.

Other Thoughts: Had to install an old EVGA 8600gt I had laying around just to use my PC.

Next time I will probably spend a few dollars more and buy a different brand.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed with MW3 Performance

Pros: -Runs Cool
-60FPS in most games at High Settings
-Fan is fairly quiet at full load

Cons: -Stutters sometimes with games that have AA applied

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my little brothers gaming PC I built. I have been using 2 6870's in crossfire for about a year now and he wanted something the equal my PC. Well price was a factor so I decided to get the 6850 instead and will get him a 2nd for crosssfire soon.

But I am impressed with just the single 6850 for now. We play MW3 for very long periods at 1920X1080 with all graphics maxed out. It performs flawlessly!

No need to crossfire, but with anyways just to get even smoother performance

5 out of 5 eggsupdate to a review I did back in January

Pros: As an update, I realized that the problem wasn't my video card, but it was my ram. I replaced it and all of my issues disappeared. I have had the card for a year now, and no issues whatsoever! great card!

Cons: none!

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice...if you're deaf.

Pros: Very good speeds and performance. No lag running any game with over 30 fps at high settings on Crysis 2. Card doesn't get too hot. Stable.

Cons: THIS CARD IS LOUD! It was quiet for the first five months and then it basically got cranky. Now it doesn't really shut up.

Other Thoughts: Rig setup:

8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 240-Pin DDR3
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz Socket AM3
Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W
HIS H685F1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the money

Pros: Stays cool and gets the job done. I mostly game at 1900 x 1080 and haven't played a game I couldn't set to high yet. So cheap that I'll probably buy another and put it in crossfire at some point.

Cons: Nothing really.

Other Thoughts: Not the newest or greatest card out there, but great for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsReview on Newegg not on card

Pros: I ordered this card wanting to play battlefield 3 and skyrim, but the day i got it, the package was tampered and card was gone, i contacted newegg for my next step and they COMPLETELY took care of me and sent a new one, and even when i got the second one in the mail, and found out i needed a 6950 for battlefield 3, they STILL TOOK CARE OF ME and refunded it, i asked for a gift card, but then found a 6950 for cheap elsewhere slightly used so i got it, i ended up buying other stuff with the gift card but man oh man is newegg THE BEST internet shopping experience i have had

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg sets the bar high

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Purchased two of these for two computer builds. One rig with an intel i5, the other with an AMD deneb quad core. The cards run quiet nearly all the time, and the temps stay within reasonable levels as long as you don't use software overclocking. Playing Dirt 3 on ultra, the fan becomes audible (about 50% fan speed). Neither have had problems during 4 months.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: Only about 20 bones more for an hd6970
