5 out of 5 eggsHas worked without flaw

Pros: This card runs everything I put at it. I have had it for over a year, and have had zero issues with it. I've only kept it at stock settings, and it works great. It stays quite cool, and is not loud at all in my case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't know why I see so many bad reviews for every card out there. It seems everyone has issues with EVERY card there is. Issues must happen to people because of PEBKAC. This card has worked flawless for me.

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth the money

Pros: Dumps heat outside the case not like those garbage cards that dump heat in the case. What kind of dope wants GPU heat dumped in the case..Thats beyond stupid

Cons: Warranty support is a worse than X.... F..... X.... Send warranty info for RMA. Made a mistake. They ask me for the info. Resend what is needed in a few minutes. IGNORED, 3 weeks go by and no response. Lets not even mention its weak performance.. live and learn. I had forgotten all about the card until cleaning up after XMAS.. HIS will ignore you when you send them the info they ask for.

Other Thoughts: Ask around about the warranty service. X F X and H I S think WEEKS are an acceptable turnaround for an RMA.
They will send you back a PieceOfS NON reference card and LIE that they don't have the reference card anymore. Funny how I can still purchase it EVERYWHERE I look for it.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Service

Pros: um

Cons: Card died within 5 months of use at stock clocks.

Other Thoughts: Emailed RMA request form to HIS and have not heard back since. Re emailed the RMA request form and have STILL not heard back. Not even a denial of RMA for whatever reason they could conjure up. Will not be supporting this company if this continues.

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it play cod:black ops with no lag except server lag. Runs quiet and cool

Cons: The way HiS priced these was wrong but they had the supply and it was in demand. paying 270.00 for this card is its only draw back.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Easily overclocked to 950/1200, i didn't want to crank the core clock much higher without my rear exhaust fan.

- Card runs cool at 950/1200 and i don't even have a rear exhaust fan on my case, i think the highest I've seen it got was 56c?

Cons: - Even though this is a reference card i can't seem to change the voltage.

- Fan is extremely loud after 45%

3 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Runs everything I want at 50+ fps. Dx11, Eyefinity, Cool, Quiet

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: I needed a computer ASAP and was dead set on the 6870 and this was the only one in stock for about a 4 day period. I was fairly unsure of whether this was a good purchase due to the high price tag (a $40 premium) and the HIS name.

After using it for a couple weeks, I can say I am content...just content though. Several games have shown artifacts which worries me for the future. However, it runs everything smoothly, has no caused any BSODs, and runs super quiet and cool.

If these artifacts keep appearing, there may be an RMA in my future. Stay tuned.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good.

Pros: It performs great. Haven't found anything to throw at it that it couldn't handle. Most review show it easily outperforming fermi 460's and trading blows with 470's.

Also, it's surprisingly quiet for what it is - I upgraded to this from a pair of crossfired passive 5750's, thinking I was giving up silence, but it's still actually pretty quiet.

Cons: ATI isn't quite as clear a price/performance winner this generation as they were last gen. Whether this or a 470 is a better deal depends on which has the better sale at the time.

Other Thoughts: Didn't really care about the overclock. In fact, might end up underclocking it if doing so can get it even quieter. But the sale that day put this as the best affordable, so this was it.

4 out of 5 eggsA nice card

Pros: The card runs cool, around 40 degrees celsius idle at 21% fan speed and is virtually silent. When under load as in playing crysis ive caught temps as high as 75 degrees celsius and the fan becomes slightly audible but definitely nothing distracting. Crysis runs like a dream at a resolution of 1400X900 with very high quality settings and 2X AA. it averages 45 FPS with a minimum framerate of 29 FPS. I can live with that.

Cons: This card is over priced. I only bought it because the other cheaper cards were out of stock and i saw prices ramping up. I would have bought the PowerColor for 239 had it been in stock. The mild overclock was never a factor in buying it, i just wanted one and i wanted it now. These cards overclock pretty well so if you want to save some money just tweak the clocks yourself on one of the cheaper cards.

Other Thoughts: The power connectors are on the side so if you have limited room for it (its 10.3 inches long) this helps from having the cables bent up or down extremely butted up against a drive or other device. It also comes with 2 adapters the convert 2 IDE power connectors to 2 six pin molex connectors so if you dont have them that may save you from buying another power supply. My powersupply is a 500 watt sustainable 600 watt peak RocketFish and has never had a problem with this card.
