Pros: Fan-less and only needs a PCI Express x1 slot.

Cons: Annoying installation.

Other Thoughts: It does work as a second video card to drive additional monitors, at least it worked with my ATI Radeon HD 5400 card. However, it's slower than the video card in the PCI Express x16 slot, which is sad, but understandable. The display attached to this card lags way behind when scrolling documents.

It's not plug and play, you MUST run the installer on the included CD. And the installation is ridiculously slow, probably because of all the advertising you're forced to watch. Don't panic when the screen goes COMPLETELY BLACK, just wait it out.

The "advanced installation" settings include check boxes to exclude games and other garbage, but this is silly, YOU CAN'T UN-SELECT THEM! Despite that, no garbage was actually installed into Windows 7. Nothing in the start menu or on the desktop. So after installation, everything's good.

Pros: card works ok. Running 4 monitors on a hp desktop.

Cons: Follow the URL link to the rebate site before you buy. Search for the model number in the rebate process. It does not exist. I wasted 30 minutes to get a $10 rebate. It's now not worth my time to pursue this further or return the card and pay shipping and undo my work. DON'T depend on the rebate. Personally I'd never buy a HIS video card again as their rebate is false advertising. Please go ahead and follow the links on the rebate form and see if you can find the same model of card that you are putting in your cart.

Pros: In non-gaming use, average power consumption for office-type use was ~10 Watts over what I was drawing without a dedicated graphics card. Gives me higher resolution capability for low cost and low power.

Cons: My Windows Experience Index actually went down, with "Graphics - Desktop performance for Windows Aero" dropping by nearly a full point. With integrated graphics on my Intel DH55TC motherboard, WEI had been 4.8, and with this HIS card, it dropped to 3.9. Gaming graphics did show an increase from 5.3 to 5.7.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised the packaging didn't come shrink-wrapped, and initially wondered if I had gotten a previously owned card that had been returned. Inside the package looked new enough, and the card seems to work fine.

Pros: Works in my weird server.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why this doesn't come up when you google "sc1430 video card upgrade," as it states that on the box. Would've saved me a lot of hunting. Not spectacular, but you're running a PCI-E 1x. 2D is just fine, so if you're not gaming, you'll be fine.

Used it a little to edit video, and it's no problem. One of the better $70 I spent on this build.

Pros: *Great price for the performance.
*Fit perfectly in my Dell Poweredge R200.
*Ran the Nova bench 3d test at 147fps vs 23fps with built in video.

Cons: None really, for a PCIe 1x it's great.

Other Thoughts: If you have a computer with 1x/4x/8x only you will be very happy with this for the money. If you have 16x, get a 16x card.

Pros: Works great in a Dell SC1430 server. Price is great.
Sufficient for watching Videos on a media server.

Pros: Increased my WEI from 3.7 to 4.2 and decreased my spreadsheet processing time.

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace a 512mb card that had failed in my kids' several-year-old desktop. Since we have an Xbox, the PC only gets used for a few old games. Installation was easy and performance is better now than before. This looks to be a great low-end card.

Pros: I have several IBM servers that have main board video that is okay for server rooms but not so good at my house. I bought this card to get just a little better performance and to be able to drive my 1920x1200 monitor.

Plugged card into an IBM x3650 and booted Debian Linux. It worked perfectly, nothing had to be done. Not sure if this matters but note that I had previously installed the non-free linux-firmware package and made sure that the Bios was at the current revision.
