4 out of 5 eggsbuy iceq version

Pros: its great when not above 80C

Cons: its usually above 80C under load. way too hot

Other Thoughts: returned and got the Iceq x turbo version. MUCH better. definitely not worth saving the extra 10$. that extra $10 means the WORLD of a difference.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: Played BF3 amazingly for like 30 minutes.

Cons: After about 30 minutes of BF3 on all maxed settings @ 1920x1080 resolution it started getting artifacting, had the side of my case off still so i just touched the top of my card to get an idea for the temperature, burned my fingers ended up checking the temperature it was at 92c. I have 7 120mm fans in my case as well as an exhaust fan right under the card and it still ran that hot, ended up getting a refund.

Other Thoughts: Never buying from HIS again, bought some HD2600XT's from them like 4-5 years ago hooked em up in crossfire, one lasted about a month, the other lasted about 6 months.

So this purchase on top of having 2 cards from HIS die in the past... Never buying from HIS again.

Go figure, a week after i refund my card this piece of s* *t is deactivated.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good for the Price...

Pros: Inexpensive for a Next Gen card.
Nice specs. Runs most games at max settings. I have tried it with Battlefield 3 Beta in Eyefinity mode (3 - 22 in monitors.) It is very laggy. However, clear as glass on just one monitor. Will buy another to crossfire to get to good eyefinity frame rates. BFBC2 run very well in eyefinity, with only minor lagging due to ultra rendering going on during tank battles and explosions. The old standbys of CounterStrike Source and Forged Alliance, Supreme Commander run flawlessly in eyefinity. Also have run the older COD4 and WAW using third party software to get eyefinity running correctly. Plays fantasticly.

Cons: Not really a con, but should be mentioned, very long card. Literally had to stretch my case to drop it in. This card comes with very little accesories to make sure you get the proper cabling. I bought a display port adapter, when I needed a mini-displayport adapter. When I read the specs, it said displayports. This may have been updated.

Other Thoughts: My rig is getting older, and is only using 8GB of DDR2 RAM. I may get better results from the rig and this card if I upgrade my mobo to one that uses DDR3. Phenom II Quad black edition, Asus motherboard, OCZ Gold DDR2.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome quality graphics in games, Avg 60 FPS in LOTRO with Ultra Settings and everything maxed.

Cons: Very very large card, almost doesn't fit in a micro atx build, but getting an new ATX Mobo soon and new tower to help air it out.

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best

Pros: Good price, runs very fast when everything is working properly.

Cons: Too hot, can be cooled by tweaking fan settings, but then it's too loud. The one I received was defective, causes my system to hang pretty frequently when not in games, RMA-ing it. Also, the whole thing just feels very cheap, from the PCB to the cooling shroud. It's just flimsy.

Other Thoughts: It's just not worth saving the ~30 bucks over going with a reputable quality brand.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: After installing a new CPU HSF, its official this card runs quiet. No need to buy a aftermarket cooler if noise bugs you.

Plays Battlefield Bad Company 2 at over 100FPS
Also plays Arma 2 Flawlessly.

Cons: it struggles in Crysis and in the Newly updated Crysis 2 usually hanging around 30-40 FPS dipping to 20. However, what card doesnt struggle with those games.

Other Thoughts: Some people complain about the noise of thier fan, and its probably thier CPU HSF or space restriction. Try it out for yourself.

1 out of 5 eggsBuy a different brand

Pros: HIS cards work great... while they last.

Cons: When HIS cards die as they eventually do, the RMA process is long, and they don't test the replacement cards properly before they send them back to you. So you have to go without a video card for 30 days and when you finally do receive a refurbished replacement card, it doesn't work either. Then you have to send that card back and wash, rinse, repeat, until your warranty is up and then you can enjoy your pretty paperweight in peace.

Other Thoughts: Note to HIS: Just because a card boots into Windows doesn't mean it's fixed. You need to test some 3D applications as well. If a card can't even make it through a single run of 3D Mark at stock settings without crashing, then it's bad. Replaced with another card of the same model (different brand), and the system runs flawlessly. Nothing against ATI cards, but don't buy them from HIS because you're taking a huge gamble.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat buy.

Pros: Runs every game I have thrown at it at highest settings without breaking a sweat. Black Ops, Left 4 Dead 2, League of Legends, this card will handle it. It stays under 60 degrees full load at 50% Fan speed.

Cons: The make of it is pretty flimsy, cheap plastic feel.

Other Thoughts: This card will get to 70 Degrees and maybe even higher if you don't up the fan from what it automatically goes to from 25% even at that high temperature. It is moderately big but will fit in a Mid ATX case without causing too much problems, may have to configure the wires a bit.
