1 out of 5 eggsDeader wouldn't let system power up

Pros: Uh, patience points?

Cons: DOA.

Other Thoughts: My first DOA. Of course it's gotta be on 11/11/11.
Tried using the card with a new build: 2500k/8gb DDR3 PC17000, ASrock Extreme 4 Gen 3 mobo. 650watt Rosewill mod PSU.

At first, I thought my power switch/PSU was faulty. System was not responding at all, acting like no power.

Took the card out and it would power up, fans on etc.

Tried for hours. Cleared cmos. Tried all PCIE slots. Etc.

Finally removed the graphics card and put it in a slightly older system w/ a confirmed mobo/psu, and it also would not let me power up. I would hear the PSU "click" and stop dead in its tracks there.

Took an old 5770 and put it in the new system, booted up UEFI perfectly.

Problem solved - I think. Very disappointed that my order got held up for 4 days because of address reasons and I wasn't notified... then paid 1 day shipping and got a deader and now have to RMA back. Also wrote newegg about the hold up and received no reply till I live chatted. Strange vibes from Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I really like this video card. So far everything runs on high with no performance problems.

Cons: The only negative is this card emits a lot of heat. It gets hot around my computer but the warmth will be welcome in the winter.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to get another for crossfire. It was worth the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsfast and quiet

Pros: upgraded from 3x3870 to one of these. Much faster, handles DX11 great, pretty quiet.

Cons: Makes a lot of heat, so I point a fan at my gaming desk while playing. The card stays cool, but I don't, but that's because it's exhausting all the heat properly.

5 out of 5 eggsbest 6950 hands down

Pros: Best 6950 out there. Super quiet (I cant hear it at all, my hard drive is the loudest in my rig), and cool (never above 60C), runs everything on ultra, it is shorter than the other 6950 and it is OC'd to 880 right out of the box. On top of ALL of that it is cheaper than the other 6950 with same specs. Must buy

Cons: 0

Other Thoughts: You wont regret this card. No problems with drivers, just make sure you have all the windows updates. Better than the nvidia drivers (referring to 650ti not too long ago. I returned it and decided to spend a bit more for the quality). With free dirt 3 and deus ex, this is a no brainer

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card! Plays BF3 on ULTRA without breaking a sweat

Pros: I wanted to build a rig that played BF3 without blinking an eye and was relavent for 3-5 yrs. Got this card and I can't say anything other than "AWESOME"

All settings turned to ULTRA on BF3 Beta with NO overclock settings turned up at all...

Cons: Big, but than again all these cards are. Better have a larger case/full tower. I have a CM Scout and its got room to spare...

Other Thoughts: Playing BF3 Beta with everything cranked to ULTRA and she runs at a steady 67-69's all day long without breaking a sweat. Can't hear the fan, nice and quite. The heat sinks coming off the side looks really cool too!
