5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Good card to combo with amd's apu 5800k
can play allot of games with not much hassle and is cheap.

Cons: was not free.

Other Thoughts: combo'ed this with 5800k apu series and it is a beast for being so cheap.

4 out of 5 eggs~Great Deal- Late Details~

Pros: I purchased one of these for a Friend of mine, and about a Month later I purchased One for myself- It Was a Great Card, but I ended up pushing it to my Secondary PC.* Great Card for a Great Price- Handles all of the Games I play Like a Pro (CS:GO, HL2, Portal 1+2, PWI, Black Ops) Though it is only being used Now in a Guest PC.

Cons: The Details for this Card lack some of the information that is Important- Like the DVI port actually being DVI-D... *Although I did read up on the Specs of this card Twice, I didn't think to Look at the Pictures- IF I had I would NOT have purchased this Card since I Run a Triple Monitor Setup Utilizing On-board, and add-in GPU's- This card supports Multiple Monitors, but only if you have DVI Based Displays- The DVI port on this Card is DVI-D, which has NO Analog Support and thus made this Card Worthless for my PC since I have no reason to replace my 3 19" 4:3 LCD's which are all VGA Only.

Other Thoughts: I waited too long to be able to return it, or I would have gone with a Card that Could handle 2 VGA Displays with the DVI - VGA adapter. PLEASE! Include ALL of the details so this doesn't Happen anymore~

4 out of 5 eggsSolid budget gpu

Pros: Bought this for a budget gaming pc. My plan is to upgrade in the near future. With a amd645 pcu, I can run BF3 on medium settings with no lag. And on hight settings there is virtually no lag (good for campaign) either but in the high action multiplayer arena you there is enough lag to lose the edge in the quick-draw. Also can play Napoleon TW on high/ultra settings with some lag only when thousands of troops are in a bunch with smoke in the air. Overall great for the price

Cons: I have had an issue of BSOD, after the card stops responding. This ONLY happened when I was on youtube. It hasnt happened for a while but it usually happens 1-2 times a week. But not that big of a deal. My pc just reboots. I would probably seek for a RMA but like I said I am planning on upgrading shortly so it doesnt matter. For the price though, I cant complain too much.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great Card for the price, make sure you have a good processor though and PSU, I'm pretty sure you can overclock it and run all games at high settings. I ran Skyrim on High at 30 fps + with a bad processor (2.1 dual core).

Cons: Kind of laggy on some games, but that's my processor's fault. Currently waiting on my new rig to come back and I plan on keeping this card.

5 out of 5 eggsI have had this card for more than 2 years

Pros: this card has played almost any game i have ever trowed at it, i have pal mass effect 2,team fortress2,portal 1 and 2, sim's 3 at med settings, wow at full settings, and the list goes on. the card has never over hated ever, the card is still running after 2 years of long use. this may not be a super card but for the amount of money it well play everything or doing most anything you could want to do with office work of schooling. i.m a software engineer and i use photo shop cs5 and cs6 o with this card plus it runs Microsoft expressions and Dreamweaver.

Cons: although it plays game at decent settings, it dose only run most of them at 20 to 30 fps. sometime games will crash. and the divers be be careful when updating them AMD/ATI seems to make wired changes in between update and some game have known booting problems with some newer drivers installed with a lot of the newer games.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to buy this card again for my next computer I'm building for my little brother, and if your a frist time buyer and your looking for a decent card that is not outlandish price this is the card you want...: )

4 out of 5 eggsUpdated Review

Pros: Very good performance for the price. Stays cool and quiet even under load (Haven't seen it over 45c, usually sits around < 40c). 6.8 in windows experience. HIS support is friendly. Has a VGA port. iTurbo software is pretty cool. Doesn't require additional power connector.

Cons: Very picky when it comes to drivers. After using driver versions 12.3; 12.4; and 12.6 beta I was unable to get some games to run more than 10 seconds. Included wallpapers don't fit my resolution </3. Was very frustrating finding a working driver for this card.

Other Thoughts: During my initial review I was pretty unhappy with the product. But now i've come to realize that AMD puts out one good driver version maybe every 4-5 versions. In order to get this card running properly I had to install a beta version with OpenGL 4.2 experimental support on my Win7 x64 install. Also got the card working great on Arch linux out of the box using the opensource drivers. The box the card came in was the box for the GDDR5 model, just seems strange it was in the wrong box (Was hoping the description on Newegg was off and I got a DDR5 one)?

2 out of 5 eggsHit and Miss

Pros: Great performance for the price. Stays cool and quiet.

Cons: Although it plays some games on high settings 60fps+, other games cause the card to stop responding completely. So far completely unusable in Linux. Newegg dropped the price of the card $5 the day after I ordered one, lol.

Other Thoughts: When it works, it seems to work well. Submitted a support ticket to HIS, no feedback thus far. Crashes on most OpenGL games for some reason. May end up requesting a RMA. Last time for sure I buy a HIS product. Going to try to get it working on Arch, if no go this was a complete was of time.

2 out of 5 eggsworked fine until...

Pros: good quality images, supported 1920x1080 display

Cons: reliability

Other Thoughts: Worked fine with VGA input and VKM switch for web browsing, and "normal use".

Today, after I had been browsing with numerous tabs in IE and Firefox, for an hour after powerup, and returned after leaving it sit idle for 20 minutes or so, when I shut off the Windows screen saver was stopped, I started seeing pixilation in the browser. It quickly spread to the whole screen, with little blotches blinking on and off all over.

After trying everything from switching cables, monitors, graphics driver, I switched to an older Geforce GT-240, and problem went away.

So much for longevity and reliability.
