3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Card works great!! Getting some awesome FPS in all the games I play. The card its self is awesome but the game codes that come with it not so much!!!

Cons: The AMD giftcard for the Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider games do not work!!! I contacted Newegg about it and they told me to contact AMD about it. AMD hasn't done anything about it yet. They said that their website wasn't working at the moment. I tried the codes again when I saw the website was up and running, and nothing!!! I just keep getting the run-around. I bought this card because of the free games that came with it and nothing yet...very disappointed so far.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Powerful GPU, huge upgrade from my HD6670.
Doubled my FPS in Planetside 2, which is known to be mostly limited by CPU, rather than GPU.
It is also rather quite, even when pushed to the max.
Price/performance is good.

Cons: First one was DOA, and had graphical glitches, however NewEgg's return service didn't fail and got the card back within 1.5 Weeks.

Other Thoughts: Overall- I'd recommend this GPU over others at this particular price point.

3 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: Relatively lightweight card compared to other cards of the same size. Very silent fan that I can't even hear (my northbridge fan is louder than it).

Cons: Card arrived DoA.

Other Thoughts: Card arrived DoA. It took me about 7 hours to figure this out though as it wouldn't put out a display when plugged in alone, but would display fine when plugged in alongside my old 550 Ti. After posting around in forums and messing around myself trying to find out what the problem is, plugging it in alongside my old 550 Ti resulted in a slow monitor flicker. Am giving this a neutral score since I've not been able to actually use the card yet. Will update later depending on how the RMA process goes.

5 out of 5 eggsTHE POWER!!!

Pros: Stays cool, even fully loaded while playing Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider. Maxes out every setting on both of these games at 1900x600. It really doesn't seem like these games push the card all that much. Very high FPS in Bioshock Inf. and Tomb Raider, TR benchmarked out to 59 FPS with all the settings maxed. Looks cool and all that jazz. It's size alone is impressive. Comes with a cool foil sticker to put on your case. Gains you a 7.9 on the Windows experience index. Seems to be very sturdily built, temps remain stable under load. My card came with Steam tokens for Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and another for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. Blood Dragon has to be downloaded from the Ubisoft store, I think. Haven't DL'ed that one yet.

Cons: Massive! Had to cut out the SSD bay in my Diablotek EVO case. I was short maybe 10mm clearance, but it was no biggie, I don't even use that bay. If you plan on going Crossfire with this monster, better get a really gigantic case. The sticker on the front of the card arrived kind of detached on one corner. I pressed it back into place and it seems fine. You can't tell in my case anyways because the card is top-side down. Also it is quite heavy, so a support of some kind may be in order for my card at least, not sure if it will flex or anything. Doesn't seem to at the moment though.

Other Thoughts: The fact that I had to remove the SSD bay from my case is entirely my fault, of course. Make sure that you give yourself plenty of leeway when measuring for this beast, especially accounting for the I/O grates on the back of your case. This was my mistake and was mainly due to 'wishful thinking' on my part. Don't pass this one up guys! At the price and with the one amazing game - Bioshock, and the meh game - Tomb Raider, it's a real steal. Hopefully the gracious newegg staff will read this- You guys need to talk to whoever handles your freight, because this is not the first time I've received my parts from you guys in a box so damaged that it is barely containing the equipment I've spent my hard-earned money on. This time half of the tape on the top of the box was missing and I could clearly just look in the box and see what was in there. Not cool. Every corner of the box was mashed in as well and so was the corner of the GPU box. Luckily your warehouse workers pack enough paper and what-not in there to account for the utter brutality that the delivery service puts these poor boxes through.

5 out of 5 eggsNice mid range card

Pros: Quiet, runs cool. idles with two monitors at 26c, underload at 1920x1200 at 50c. The iTurbo software is easy to use. At 1920x1200 Skyrim runs ultra, Bioshock Infinite does as well and the colors look good. The Tombraider game needs a couple of settings down to high but otherwise, looks good also. Was easy to set up and colors look good, at the price point I'm quite happy with it. Upgraded from a GTX460 1 gig and the difference is definitely noticeable. Has both HDMI and Mini HDMI ports.

Cons: Huge card, it justs fits into my Cooler Master HAF932 case and the fan partial covers my SATA ports. The 6 pin power connectors are akwardly placed for anyone running a concealed cabling setup. You'll want a mid range PS, at least 500 watts, especially if you have a lot of other peripherals. Price dropped $30.00 two weeks after I bought it. Setting these up in crossfire could be akward on most motherboards due to the fan offset on a card thats already two slots deep. Only has one DVI port, but my main monitor is HDMI so I bought the cable for it and use both ports without issue for my two monitors.

Other Thoughts: While the card is huge dimensionally, it is fairly light weight, so shouldn't need any extra support in a Tower setup. If you have the room, power connections and prefer a one card solution it's a good buy. Otherwise you should probably look into something with a smaller foot print.

5 out of 5 eggsA suitable replacement

Pros: Well-priced, great design for keeping the GPU cool, and this card alone does better than two Sapphire 2GB 6950s in CrossFireX. That said, this card struggles in Unigine Heaven 2.5 when it's close to objects, with settings of high shaders, extreme tessellation, anisotropy of 16, 8x anti-aliasing, at a 1600x900 resolution. That is to say that this card will do everything in its power not to drop below 26fps at the toughest of conditoins. Average at those stats was 46-59fps, limited by my monitor.

It's also wonderfully quiet, even with a load. Or maybe I'm not giving it enough of a load when I max out benchmarks, Burnout Paradise, Bioshock franchise, Dirt 3, Borderlands 2, Portal 2, Dead Island, and other heavy hitters.

Cons: Physical design does cause compromise for other cards beneath it, but I really don't see myself ever planning to shop for anything bigger than a wireless card, or a sound card if I'm getting -really- serious. Still, with slight adjustments, such things can fit beneath this card, depending on the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: As I mentioned, I had two 2GB Sapphire 6950s in CrossFireX, and they were dropping to 16fps at those Heaven 2.5 stats, maxing 44fps. I don't think I've ever seen a 2GB Radeon card perform so well, but my current build is my first AMD/Radeon, just for the sake of having the experience. I do prefer Intel/AMD, but with this card, I'm really not all that intent on building another computer yet.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Amazing

Pros: This thing is AWESOME.
Average GPU temps when gaming with very low fan speed (70C at 50% fan speed)
So quiet it is inaudible under 60% fan speed
Overclocks very nicely.
Got this card on sale for $220 and there isn't another card that can match performance for that price.
Very pleasing aesthetics

Cons: When the fan gets maxed out (manually) the fans are very low pitched and sound like a motor rather than fan blades or air, but if you don't plan on overclocking your fans won't be spinning above 50%
Very Big (285mm)

Other Thoughts: I do like that the pci-e connectors plug in to the side instead of the back because most cases wouldn't allow for that.
I play just about everything maxed out with this and my 8350. No reason not to get it

5 out of 5 eggsIt completes me lol

Pros: What can i tell you , its one of the best 7870s on the market. The only one that exhaust out of the case and draws air from the top as well from the bottom of the card. Thats why the cooler is so effective. Its just awsome.

Cons: I hate it so much that im going to buy a second one lol.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Clear Instructions on removal of old old card/drivers/ installation of new card/ drivers and the order in which to do so. Very quite, even when playing newest Tomb Raider at max settings (BTW TR was free with the card). I wasn't necessarily looking to upgrade my Radeon 5850 but the free games made it a no brainer. Cards been up and running for 3 weeks without a single issue

Cons: None
