5 out of 5 eggsGlad I Got OC version!

Pros: SIZE!! was Pleased to have the option to buy this card for my mid-tower desktop and it Fit like a glove. she hold steady and stays cold (~68*c under full load, OC'd at 1100mhz all the time everytime) for long gaming grinds (6hr+) in tight quarters... shes a beaut. thanks HIS!

Cons: Fan a bit noisy over 65%, BUT I NEVER NEEDED IT THAT HIGH HAHA!! even for the most demanding settings.

Other Thoughts: I hope this thing is stronger than the PS4 and Xbox1080 OR w/e OR ill have to get 2 of these!!!

5 out of 5 eggsCool, Quiet, & a Great Value

Pros: Cool, Quiet, Relatively Small, Great Performance

Cons: iTurbo software could be a little easier to use.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from an Asus HD4870, and this is whisper-quiet in comparison and 20-degrees cooler.
This is by no means a small board (barely fit in my Antec Sonata Plus 550), but is still smaller than many other comparable boards.
The iTurbo software is simple and straightforward, but does not automatically tweak the voltages for you.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: Upgraded from a 6870 and was shocked at the difference. it is very rare to not see a consistent 60fps from this card. Only Crysis 2 with dx11 and high res texture packs on ultra and metro 2033 make it run in the 30 to 45 fps range. and that is only in rather intense parts. it also stays ice cool. i have it overclocked to 1120mhz and the highest ive seen it run is 40 C.

Cons: none that i can think of. i have only had the card for a few days, but what ive seen so far is amazing

Other Thoughts: Was thinking of getting a 660ti for the same price as this card, after hearing that it benches better, but it went on sale for 259. at this price, it would be dumb to spend all the extra money on a 660ti

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card at a very decent price, $270 including discounts. I needed to upgrade to a newer video card from my old 3870(Yep, I know its sad). Pick this up and I'm glad I did. Runs very cool

Cons: The only con I found is with the Overclocking software. The version on the CD that came with Video Card wouldn't allow me to change a setting to OC. I just went to the HIS web site and dloaded the newest version and all is good now.

Other Thoughts: I built a Top of line computer back in 08. Still using it, no problems except when playing games on my 3870, I had to use LOW options on all the newer games. I figure that I can probably get at least 2, if not 3 years on this 7870 card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade

Pros: Vast improvement over the 6870 it replaced. Packs a lot more processing power and runs MUCH quieter, although I would say it puts out about the same heat. (40-64C)

Cons: A little expensive.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't be surprised to see it drop in price in the coming months, but I didn't want to wait as I got games to play in the here and now!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Disclaimer: Please read other thoughts for my system setup. My Pros are all relative.

* The card only takes up 2 slots, unlike some hefty 3-slot cooling options.
* Really quiet, but the default setting for the fan is 20-30%.
* I don't hear a coil whine
* Plenty of OC headroom. I OCed it to 1100/1450 first go and ran furmark for 15 minutes on 1080p settings. No issues.
* Great cooler, overall. During Furmark, the temps reached 70C before hovering around 67-68C for the rest of the test.

Cons: * Requires 2 PCI-E 6-PIN connectors. If you plan to XFire, be sure you have enough connectors.
* $350 price-tag is okay. For a non-reference card & cooler, it is a great buy.

Other Thoughts: I have only played a handful of games, which aren't going to stress the card too much (and I forgot to change some settings). Blizzard games aren't worth stating since Blizzard makes it easily accessible to anyone (max settings on a 5770...c'mon...). I'll be testing mostly on BF3 & Napoleon/Shogun Total War. I have already noticed improved FPS on previous settings for those particular titles.
