5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Video Card

Pros: Very fast, silent card. It's been working for me faultlessly for over six months. It doesn't heat up my case at all. I do not play games but spend my days creating and looking at graphics. My friends have all been impressed with the speed.

Cons: Absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for a build shortly after it came out. Some reviews were less than positive, so I was a little nervous about my purchase. But the price and specs were right on; so, I took the gamble. I'm very glad I did.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great, plays all the games I have on max settings.

Cons: Usually, the machine with this card will only boot from a cold boot (I have to turn power supply off for a few moments and then back on before booting), otherwise the motherboard won't post. The machine will not reliably resume from hibernate or sleep.

It might be a good idea to re-position the fans in your case to blow on the card, as I was getting temps over 80c on full load, whereas with a fan blowing on the card it never goes over 50c. This kinda defeats the purpose of having a fanless design though depending on how you look at it. Just make sure there's good air circulation underneath the card.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a Radeon HD 4850, and to my disappointment I didn't notice much of a performance gain at all (Diablo 3 was still choppy as heck and WoW and SC2 frame rates didn't get any better when running on max settings, must be a CPU bottleneck). But this card uses a lot less power and runs completely silent, so that makes up for it.

Ironically though, the one and only case fan that I have is still making more noise than I would like, so the overall noise of the machine did not go down even after this upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsBest silent gaming card

Pros: -Silent
-Been able to play recent games at 1080p on high graphics settings. Example: Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, even Battlefield 3

Cons: -Gets hot with bad airflow in case
-Wish it came with a free game!

Other Thoughts: Overall, this thing can game and it can do it while silent. If you desire top of line the graphics and need those high benchmark scores... Then this card is not for you. This card is for people who want a quieter PC while still gaming on high settings.

When I first put this card in, I had terrible airflow. I had a rear intake fan on a radiator for my CPU and a top exhaust fan size of 140mm. So, literally all the air coming in my case was hot, which is obviously bad. This can be fixed by adding intake fans on the bottom of the front of the case, or by adding a fan on the side of the case pointing almost directly at the graphics card. The latter of the two options drastically reduced the temperatures of the GPU from my experiments. However, adding a side fan created some obnoxious airflow noises, it was almost a whistle because of the slits on the side of the case. This was not acceptable. I ended up using a dual fan card thing that inserted in the PCI slot below the graphics card. It has a little dial on the back controlling how fast they spin. Even on the slowest setting, which is not audible amongst the other fans in my case, the GPU went from 97 degrees Celsius to about 65 degrees Celsius. Exactly what I needed. When I had ONLY a fan on the side of the case at the lowest speed, the temperature was right around 82 degrees Celsius. The 65 degree reading is only with the PCI slot dual fans along with the radiator intake fan and the top exhaust fan in my case. (These recordings were taken in a terribly hot day without air conditioning. 85 degrees F and almost 100% humidity. A terrible day for any PC. The heat tests were done using Furmark benchmarking and Far Cry 3)

The moral to this short story is that, while there are no fans on the GPU, you may need to add some other fans to accommodate the extra heat the giant heat sink adds to the inside of the case. If you already have good airflow it shouldn't be an issue, but it's something to keep in mind. The benefit to his however, is YOU are in control of the fans in your case, you aren't stuck with some high pitched, mini fan on the GPU. For this reason alone, this GPU is awesome for the type of PC I want, not to mention it is fully capable of gaming!

This is definitely a must buy for quiet PC enthusiasts.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Fanless, versatile and functional. No hiccups on installation or with drivers. Very powerful with games and excellent for movie editing.

Cons: HDMI and DP ports are somewhat loose. The ports are side by side so you can't always use adapters.

When skipping through video files (avi, mpg, etc.) gives artifacts for a couple of frames, something that my other video card didn't do. Hardware accelerated mpeg decoding seems to be the issue.

Other Thoughts: Great for the price, surprising little card that is very powerful.

3 out of 5 eggsSilent with...issues

Pros: It's silent. If you want a video card that is 100% quiet AND doesn't require additional power from PSU, this is the card for you. Not too long, easy to insert into slot. Heatsinks give good clearance.

Cons: A shearing line appears on screen. My case has 2x 240 fans exhaust, 1x 240 intake, 1x 120 exhaust, 1x 120 intake, 2x 120 drive area (internal circulation). There is PLENTY of air movement, so it's not over heating. I don't game unless you count Solitaire. I'm really irritated with that shearing line that appears about 1/4 way up from bottom of my screen. Most noticeable on white backgrounds (website, err scrolling), during video play back. Will try HIS drivers. Had AMD's installed. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

2 out of 5 eggsNot great

Pros: Says that it runs cool, but I never verified it.

Cons: After 9 months it's dead. The day before it died I had one blue screen, which is very unusual, and the next day zero video on either display. I got my 5570 card back from a friend and popped it back in, this one runs faster now than the HIS 7750, it never ran as fast as my Saphire 5570. So much for new and better.

To warranty you have to find Lexy Pacific Corp. and contact them. They support the cards on warranty. I have not contacted them yet, may update this after RMA request.

Other Thoughts: Make one that doesn't die?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Silent, size is compact compared to other fanless configurations.

Cons: When connected to HDMI, the text on the POST screen is green instead of white. This makes me suspect the quality of the card, as the Saphirre HD6670 Ultimate that this replaced did not have this issue. However after the OS is loaded, all the colors appear correct.

Other Thoughts: Replaced this with a Sapphire HD6670 Ultimate to rid myself of clearance woes characteristic of Silverstone's Sugo SG06. Haven't had any heat issues with the card, but I do have a 40mm Noiseblocker fan blowing directly on the heatsink to provide some amount airflow.

Paired with an Asus M4A88T-I motherboard and undervolted/clocked 1100T.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and reliable

Pros: Quiet! Cool!

Got a 1-2 deg decrease in GPU temp compared with my old HIS 4670 iceQ.

Worked out of the box, unlike the Sapphire Ultimate 7750 I bought for my other rig.

Heat sink/fin configuration allows for airflow to and through a vented backplane cover.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: While the card is sold as a single-slot configuration, the heat sink does intrude into the next slot. Installing a vented backplane cover in the adjacent slot keeps my system temps down, even without forced airflow via dedicated fan. System temps are within 1 deg overall.

5 out of 5 eggsNo mechanical fan, really?!!

Pros: Awesomely designed heat sink that replaces powered fan on most other brands.
Low powered and energy efficient for limited psu on my HP desktop.
Advanced and latest tech specs but still affordable for mainstream.
Pretty simple and easy user interface(Catalyst C.C.) once installed successfully.
No major tech issues so far(HDMI, etc.)
Respectable brand.

Cons: Driver installation failed at 1st, should have checked Release notes on AMD download page for prerequisites and requirements before(my fault), had to update Windows 7 to SP 1 and then installed again to success.

Other Thoughts: My system W.E.I. score is 7.4 now, I have dual monitor set up(DVI+HDMI) for watching web vids, surfing web, and casual mmo gaming. Took me a bit getting used to dual monitor configs and using Firefox. AMD HydraVision optional package seems not compatible with all apps(Firefox not), no big deal tho. GPU is at around 55'C when not gaming and heats up to 70'~80'C+ under normal stress(below 70% activity) on few game demos I have tried. I picked this up during Holiday sales(Nov. 2012) with free shipping for much less. Lucky me :D

4 out of 5 eggsBlessed silence

Pros: silent
runs everything I've thrown at it with better than medium specs

Cons: Other cards in around the same price are a little faster

Other Thoughts: This latest gen is very low power which means I didn't need to upgrade my tiny PSU.
I can't find any cards at the lower price range with two HDMI or displayport, really frustrating with a dual monitor setup.
