3 out of 5 eggsHIS Radeon HD 7750 Low Profile 1GB

Pros: Fits in a half height htpc and does not require an additional PCI-e 6-pin power supply. works on a 300W htpc psu

Cons: Fan can get loud when it kicks up in speed. Its bulky for a half height, Probably won't fit in a case that requires low profile single slot. Maybe you could remove the fans and it may fit a single slot, but not too sure. Also, not sure if i'm the only one, but mine came with a faulty hdmi output, couldn't get it to signal out. All my other cards i have bought + mobo HDMI have signaled out right away, this wouldn't and couldn't.

Other Thoughts: Have owned it since 09/09/2012, made a RMA for it but didn't go thru with it. I couldn't get the HDMI to signal out for my for hdtv, only vga and dvi worked when testing it on my monitor. Ended up using the vga with an audio out cord to attach to my hdtv and use PC input instead of HDMI input. HTPC is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: Low cost.
Reliable so far, 3 months+ on 3 of them in Slackware LINUX 2u rackmount systems running 150kh/s on Litecoin no issues, 4'th card have only had for about a week so far.
Included VGA port is critical for my usage, too many cards are DVI only and I have nothing that can use DVI (yet, some year seems inevitable).

Cons: Slightly lower performance than my Sapphire low profile 7750, but those haven't been available for months and cost more when they WERE available.

Other Thoughts: Probably THE highest performance option for a low-profile system for the last few months.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Performance

Pros: Installed this on my Dell OptiPlex 780 Small Form Factor with a 235w Power Supply and runs AoE3, Skyrim, War Thunder, BF3 all on High/Ultra Settings getting about 30 to 50 FPS!

Also made web browsing faster!

Scores 7.4

Cons: This card is a little big for the Small Form Factor case which I got... You have to do some modifications to make this work.
First, you have to take the hard drive holder which is infront of the CPU cooler out, dont worry about the CPU heatsink it will be ok.. there are just 2 screws holding the hard drive holder take that out in order for this card to fit in.

Second you have to be creative for your harddrive... As for me I have a SSD so it was easy for me to use the rear vents to install a SSD bracket to hold the SSD Drive.

The CPU Holder has a bottom fan which you can take out, in your BIOS just disable alerts as you will get an error about harddrive fan no longer working.

Temps go all the way up tp 78 which is hot for my taste... but still works :) Im sure with a different case it would resolve this issue

3 out of 5 eggsRuh Roh

Pros: Quiet, short, two fans, lots of ports.

Cons: Died in a half an hour. System will not POST with it installed.

Other Thoughts: Shame this had to be my first experience with HIS. I'd probably try them again since the card is pretty sound looking but I'll test my luck with them another time.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Video Card

Pros: This card is a great card for an HTPC. The low profile is perfect for HTPC cases, and there are no space issues in the Silverstone ML03.

Quiet. After reading reviews for other single fan cards, I decided to try this card hoping that the two fans running at slower speeds would keep it cool while being quiet (as advertised). It is. This card added zero noise level to my HTPC, and even during gaming I don't notice any noise increase. If using it for video conversion while there is no audio to drown out the fan noise, then you can hear it, but that's to be expected. It is still fairly quiet.

The performance of this card is impressive. While I'm not a hardcore gamer, I have cranked up the graphics for the games I do play and this card handles everything.

Cons: Software.

My original review of this card only gave it one egg because there were audio issues. Yes, I used the latest drivers and software from the manufacturer, but the issue persisted. I was experiencing skips in the audio of video playback (HD and SD) every 95 seconds or so. Eventually my troubleshooting led to turning off the video enhancement options that the Catalyst Control Center has on by default. This solved the problem. I turned the video enhancement options on one by one to determine if any one of them was the culprit, and it turned out to be the De-noise option. After messing around with the percentage of correction I found that the audio skips were eliminated when the de-noise was set below 50%. I set all video correction factors (edge enhancement, de-noise, mosquito noise reduction and de-blocking) to 40% and haven't had a single audio issue since. I should note that I only experienced the audio issue with video playback and not with gaming.

The issue seems to be that the Catalyst Control Center default values are set too high for this cards capabilities. After adjusting the settings to something a bit more manageable for the card it performs very well.

Other Thoughts: The con really isn't a con. It's just oversight on the software manufacturer's part. Not all cards are created equally, so a one-size-fits-all software solution doesn't work. It's just too bad that the Catalyst software doesn't identify the installed card and then adjust the default settings according to the cards capabilities.

Also, I submitted a support request with HIS over the audio issue, but it took them nearly two weeks to respond with a "do you have the latest drivers?" response. When purchasing something online and only having 30 days on a return policy this type of support is unacceptable. However, this seems to be the industry standard, so I don't know that you can get around that issue.

Buy it! It's a great card, and I'm happy with it.

1 out of 5 eggsSound Issues

Pros: This thing is great for an HTPC. I put this in my Silverstone ML03 case, and it fits great.

Quiet. Under heavy gaming this thing stays fairly quiet. Under HD video playback it stays very quiet (which is excellent).

Cons: The audio skips one second every 95 seconds or so when playing video. This is a big issue since I bought this for my HTPC. Previously I was using the on board graphics (Core i5-3570K, Intel HD 4000), and there was never a problem. Audio doesn't cut out during gaming; just video. I've played several videos, and tried to find a solution to this issue. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a solution. Until the solution can be found, I'm not going to be happy with this card. I will likely send this back and get something else if a solution isn't found in the next week.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to like this card, and I did. I'm very disappointed that there's an audio issue with it. Everything else on this card works great and I would have otherwise given it five eggs. Unfortunately, audio cutting out during a movie every 95 seconds is unacceptable.

5 out of 5 eggsFastest SFF Low Profile Video Card

Pros: This is an excellent low profile video card for a SFF PC. The AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7750 is the fastest graphics chip you can get in a low profile slot. No need for an extra power connector. Manages fine on a sub 300W PSU. Normal size HDMI connection. I've got mine paired with a Core 2 Duo at 2.66Ghz, 4GB RAM, and it plays most games at 720P at 60FPS or higher with high settings. 1080P games at 30FPS. Turns a HTPC into an excellent Steam Big Picture gaming PC. Budget friendly.

Cons: It can run very hot, but this hasn't affected performance, plus drivers can manually adjust the fan speed, though the fans will sound loud. The HSF is double card wide, so keep that in mind for tight cases. Low profile cards are a bit more expensive than equivalent full size cards.

Other Thoughts: I was between this and the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7750 low profile card. I liked the double fans and normal size HDMI connector, no need for dongles. Look, this card isn't going to play every game maxed out at high resolutions, but for the budget gamer looking for a low profile card, this card is nice!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Card

Pros: This card is great! This was my first graphics card and I can say it's a great improvement from an integrated graphics card. I also overclocked it with AMD Overdrive but that seemed to do nothing. I'm also probably not experiencing everything this card can do because I'm still using an AMD Athlon II x2 3.0GHz CPU... If you are thinking about getting this card, go ahead, although it might not be able to play games like Battlefield 3 on high.

Cons: None at the moment. Some games get uneven framerate but I'm sure that's my CPU bottlenecking my GPU. Correct me if I'm wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet, good improvement

Pros: whisper quiet, improved speed, easy installation

Cons: none really - the driver Windows 7 automatically installed didn't display everything optimally but when I used the installation disk and wizard to download the latest driver from HIS, everything worked great.

Other Thoughts: I had been using a low profile/low power GeForce 9600 for the last 3 years in my slimline PC with 250 watt power supply. The fan had become much more audible over the last year (i'm assuming a ball bearing). This card is much more quiet than that card was new and it also is noticeably faster. Since the HD 7750 uses 8 less watts, I'm assuming that this card is fine with low watt power supplies.

I was originally concerned about another review regarding blue screens coming out of sleep mode (since I do that often). I have not had any issues with that.
