With black hole impeller, cool air is drawn from both sides of the fan and hot air is forced out of the computer case. This ensures effective cooling when there is another card in front blocking the fan inlet, such as in CrossFire setup. With IceQ, the card is up to 12 °C cooler than the Reference Cooler. IceQ is one of the quietest coolers, making the card 8dB quieter than the reference cooler. The card is below 28dB when watching movies, surfing Facebook, and working. The card remains quiet whether you are gaming, online socializing, entertaining or working.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked well for almost a year

Pros: Ran games well for a while, was a decent mid-high end card when I got it.

Cons: After almost 10 months of flawless performance, it repeatedly caused my computer to fail after running anything graphically intensive for more than a few minutes.

Other Thoughts: I suppose I was slightly luckier than some of the other people here whom have had the same issue with failures after a while. It's not an overheating problem, and the issue no longer crops up with a new graphics card, so it must just be something faulty on this card.

1 out of 5 eggsFire = Failure.

Pros: Handled the games I was playing. Quiet, though that isn't particularly important.

Cons: Failed.

About a month ago my PC shut down when loading a game that is heavy on graphics. Wouldn't restart, I assumed the power supply or motherboard/processor had died (Would not post-powered off; with no 8-pin to processor it would stay on, but obviously not do anything, with/without video card (I tried 3) made no difference). Given it's 5 years old, I figured it's a good time to upgrade the rest of my system.

New motherboard, power supply, processor, and RAM- was working fine during setup. Unplugged a USB device, heard a pop, PC shut down. Rebooted with the side panel off, another pop and a flame on the video card. Not too thrilled that now the rest of my system was at risk, but hopefully it was just the card that died.

Installed an old 4850, and it's working again, so I don't know what to say about this card, other than it died prematurely.

Other Thoughts: I hate rating products poorly because of a defect. Working, it's a 5. But right now it's a very expensive paperweight.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Cool
Quiet
Overclocks well

I ran this card for just about 10 months and recently upgraded to a top of the line card. It never gave me a single issue. This card is a beast and I had forgotten that until I took it out of my case yesterday. Very large card with excellent cooling. This was one of the smartest purchases I made when building my rig.

Cons: cant think of a single con, except trying to find another one to xfire with. Ended up switching to a GTX 780 Ti

Other Thoughts: Miners drove up video card prices, and depleted the stock of extra 7950's/ I got this card for $280 new and it appears I can sell it for $300 as used.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Was cool and fast when it worked

Cons: Stopped working after three months. Would crash during game start up.

Other Thoughts: I really liked this card when I got it and I don't pout too much when something breaks because it does happen and I have had to deal with this before. EVGA? Fantastic customer service. XFX? Fantastic customer service. HiS? Absolutely horrible. I sent it to their third party RMA department and, as of today, it has been a month since I have seen it. This is the worst experience I've had with any GPU company and I will never, ever buy another HIS product or use them in another person's build again. Stay away at all costs.

1 out of 5 eggshis iceq 7950 Card Crashes with every game

Pros: When It would load my games I thought it was nice.

Cons: I bought the card in 9/19/13 and now 4 months later it won't load any of my games. It crashes my whole computer after 2-3 min of in-game time. I don't have it overclocked. It's not overheating. It just crashes. I've turned all graphics on low and it only enables me to play 4-5 min before it crashes. I have ran a memtest, HD test, virus scan, reg scan, no errors. I have up to date drivers. 13.12CCC (1/7/14) help?

Other Thoughts: The contact number is for china, so shipping this, getting this "fixed" and returning is going to take months.

1 out of 5 eggsBad company, does not honor rebates.

Pros: Not much. Sticker fell offf because the video card got too hot.

Cons: I'm in the business tech business and our datacenter hosts some of the virtual servers for the biggest gaming companies. I hate shady business practices and will make sure everyone knows to avoid buying HIS products. Very shady business practices. will not honor rebates. The rebate isn't of great value to me but I prefer to do deal with companies that are honest and HIS is not that.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't be fooled

Pros: Card worked great for the first 4 months, then the trouble happened. Anytime the card moved to high power consumption (monitored by iturbo) the display would crash. Im talking it would lose signal completely, go pink and white with vertical lines, go black, go grey, loop the sound over and over. The only thing i could do was hold in the power button to shut it off which is not a good thing.

Before the problems worked great. Ran all my games on high or max graphics with excellent frame rate, easy to install and iturbo is a great tuner.

Cons: First off, tech support. Absolutely awful, took them days to answer my ticket that i submitted. When they finally did they told me to do things that i had already done and told them that i had done in my ticket.

Graphics card caused display to crash after 4 months. Was not anything else, took out the card and could run everything fine.

Card failed OCCT stress test with multiple connections (hdmi and vga to dvi converter) to make sure it was not a faulty wire.

Overall pretty unhappy with HIS product.

Other Thoughts: Consider a company with better tech support.

5 out of 5 eggsLike a Charm

Pros: It does everything it says it should. I play all of my games on Ultra with 40-60 FPS with no problems. Stays cool and quiet as well. The software that comes with it is easy to use and you can make presets as well.

Cons: The ONLY con I have is that the card is so big. I knew it was going to be and my case fits it no problem, but I was honestly intimidated when I got the box for it.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card but...

Pros: Ran quietly and temps were low.
Pretty good overclocker.
Price when purchased.

Cons: RMA is a nightmare.
It is a third party that your RMA goes through.
It has been 5 weeks since i sent in my card and still i am waiting.
They seem to have decided to ignore my emails after the third week....

Other Thoughts: Seems I got unlucky with a defective card had flickering issues with flash player in multi monitor set up and audio issue through the hdmi port.
The card was quiet and just barely audible when under load.
Temps never went past 65* for me.
