5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: See other thoughts

Cons: See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: Original Review:

Pros: Cool and Quiet, lowered overall system temps. This earned the two stars.

Cons: "Upgraded" from a Sapphire 6950 to this. The 6950 handled everything I could throw at it and then some with never a single BSOD.
upon switching I actually had to lower settings to get games to run smooth. Wasn't long before I got my first BSOD. At first thought it was just the GW2 related BSOD but now its been happening in just browsing the web. Also might just be Kaspersky but their overclocking tool comes up as a trojan. This was the only hardware that changed and was installed with proper ESD guidelines.

Other Thoughts: Have another HIS card in the HTPC haven't had any issues so decided to take a shot with em at the higher end card. Maybe I just got unlucky.

A month or so later the card died. RMA process went great and received a new card in just under two weeks.
The new card has worked great and has not exhibited any of the problems of the first card. Have since ordered a second for crossfire.

5 out of 5 eggsreally awesome upgrade

Pros: Great GPU, never fill up its ram with any of todays games, runs everything on ultra, and I got it at a great price. Its overclocked from the factory, but it still runs very quiet and smooth, I really am happy with this and I am glad I got it!

Cons: none so far, unless it doesn't fit your case because it is a little over 11 inches long.

Other Thoughts: Should be available in other colors to fit my green machine!

5 out of 5 eggsQuick question

Pros: Cant wait to buy my last part.

Cons: it not in my case.

Other Thoughts: I have quick question. Is this card just factory overclock and the $199.99 one is the none overclock one? jw cause if it is. Im going to put the money into another stick of ram.

Thank you in advance.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

Pros: SUPER quiet GPU!!! Can run all games at max settings. Runs "Planet Side 2" flawlessly! Its is a huge GPU so make sure you measure your case before you purchase. I can't wait, I will be purchasing another and Crossfire connecting. Should be AWESOME!!

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: New Egg, ROCKS!

5 out of 5 eggsI LOVE this card!

Pros: Very cool, very quiet, very overclockable, benches better than the 7870 reference edition at less than two-thirds the temps.

Cons: It can't make breakfast sausage, because it stays too cool.

Other Thoughts: I OC'ed it to 1250core, 1350ram, purely stable. It runs everything I throw at it high or better at playable frames at 1080p. I'll likely buy the 4gig version to add in for CrossfireX soon.

5 out of 5 eggsHIS :)

Pros: Great product and it should run most games at max settings (except Crysis 3) with ease, granted you have enough RAM and decent Quad Core or better. This card allows me to run Bioshock Infinite at Max/Ultra settings AND run FRAPS at the same time. The best part, it doesn't break the bank like some other high-end cards. When it's time for me to upgrade I'm going with HIS.

Cons: It's freakin huge and takes up a lot of space. Best to install AFTER you connected all your cables because it will take up space. Oh it can't run Crysis 3 at Optimal settings according to CanYouRunIt.

Other Thoughts: The manual is a bit confusing, just be sure to have a power supply with two 6 pin PCI-E power cables or else it wont run.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome pricepoint for power

Pros: This card does exactly what I wanted (GAMES) at a great pricepoint!
Running all of my games at max! This is probably the best bang for the buck in terms of performance on the dollar.
AMD drivers available for more than windows (unlike Nvidia that seems to be holding back from the open source world)

Cons: None in my eyes, though the card is quite large, you may want to ensure you have the space in your case for this card!

Other Thoughts: Very fast, and relatively cheap (compared to the higher end cards)
Very happy with my purchase. Games are running at their highest settings, with vsync to remove screen tearing. I have not noticed any dropped frames at all.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Looks nice. Pretty quiet. Good upgrade from my HD6850.

Cons: LONG>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
With this 12" long card I have about 3mm clearance to the drive cage. It is what it is so no eggs off.

Other Thoughts: Was building my son a gaming desktop so I ordered this for myself and gave him my HD6850. Easy way to sneak the upgrade for myself under the radar of the wife. :)

Running with an x6 1090T@3.7GHz and was an OK upgrade from my HD6850 for my budget. Was a little worried that it would not be a worthwhile jump but I am pleased with the results. 3DMark11 went from P3401 up to P6337. Cloud Gate, 11739 up to 15058. Fire Strike, 2480 up to 4561. Either way it is noticeably faster in games.

Couple things to note. Card length, this is just a hair under a foot long. Measure first or be prepared to dremel part of your drive cage. Inputs, has 1xDVI 1xHDMI and 2xMini DP. My active DP adapter was full size and this is mini. Didn't think to check so I was without a third monitor until I got the new adapter shipped. This PowerColor adapter (N82E16815309008) worked great and it will run you $23.

Finally, I was able to OC this to 1050/1250 and bench. It was a quick couple tests but any higher would crash during the bench. Temps never broke 55C though so I don't think it was heat related. I will try again when I have the time to play with voltages and such.
