5 out of 5 eggsPretty Sweet

Pros: Using the iTurbo overclock I was able to clock the cores to 1279 and the memory to 1800. I clocked it down to 1240 for better game stability but kept the mem clock. FYI I have a NZXT's Kraken G10 coupled to an H90 and using the built-in vram cooler, I never have temps over 58c. I thing on of the selling points would have to be the little black board cooler that you can see at the back-top of the board. It helps with rigidity and cooling, plus it stays out of the way of installing custom cooling.

Cons: Fan size is a bit small compared to MSI's Twin Frozer but I never heard them through my Fractal R4 case.
People are saying it's long but it's just a full sized card, it's third in AMD's line up under the R9 290 and 290x.

Other Thoughts: I've had it since April and it's been doing fine. It is pushing a feed down to my tv, as one of it's functions is a media center, and that hdmi cable is around 28 feet or so.

1 out of 5 eggsIt's huge.

Pros: i wouldn't know.

Cons: it's huge, over 12" long, it doesn't fit in my case.

Other Thoughts: they hide the note that says this item is non- refundable under the specifications page, so shortly after you find out it won't fit in your case, you'll find out you're out 300$ unless you buy a new case, or take a hack saw to your existing one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Super Fast card, runs cool (didn't go over 70c using stock fans), looks great.

Cons: My only con is that there is some coil whine when the card is under full load, but I barely notice it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I replaced a Radeon 6870 with this and I've been loving it. The card worked right the first time. It has Mantle.

2GB of video RAM would have been enough for this card on 1920x1080 monitors, but it has 3GB for people running a higher resolution or multiple monitors.

I like the layout of the slot cover on this card better than most of their competitors. Two DisplayPort connectors is a plus for me, and the full slot vent helps it keep cooler than a half-slot vent.

I spent a *lot* of time comparing fan noise on review sites, as well as Youtube, and this seemed to be one of the quietest.

Cons: There isn't a 290 with the same slot cover configuration.

Other Thoughts: I had some problems with games crashing with the first set of drivers, but subsequent driver updates from AMD seem to have taken care of that.

I wish some 290 and 290X would come out with dual DisplayPort.

5 out of 5 eggsFast card, great bang for the buck.

Pros: >Darn fast card.
>Overclocks well, but it's overkill for many games.
>Looks impressive, if that's the kind of thing you go for. (mine was one of the gold-colored ones).
>Handles everything I've thrown at it with no problems - mostly Skyrim with lots of mods.
>Did I mention fast??

Cons: >Darn huge card. Almost exactly 12" long, from the flat metal tab to the tip end. Make sure you have plenty of room.
>Calls for a pretty hefty power supply, I had to upgrade.
>If high frequency noises get on your nerves, the coil whine from this card when under load may annoy you. The "Triangle of Death" test on MSI Kombustor 2.5 makes it squeal like a pig.
>Seems like it's a guessing game whether you are going to get a black or a gold colored card. Doesn't matter to me, to some people it might be a big deal.

Other Thoughts: You're not going to get much speed improvement over this card without spending way more than this card costs. If you use the overclock headroom and download the latest drivers, you should be well pleased with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: Blazing fast
Light weight
Quiet
Great heat dissipation
Great room heater for winter months.
Overclocks great

Cons: A tad hotter than expected, though still good
Got the card just before the 3 free games that come with it now, for the same price.
No back plate
a little long
Got gold and not black like the picture showed

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice card, It may not be a 290 or 290x but the performance is solid.
Before this I had a radeon 4870 x2 and then a 7870
This card definitely is a 7970. That's what windows and catalyst read it as.
I had some issues with the 7870 and jittery frames, But not at all with this card. The frame lag is incredibly small with this card.
Will be a great holdover card for a few generations of graphics,
I had temps only as high as 71 deg when benching it on standard clocks, and only 65 oc'd to 1.1 ghz and fan speed at 65%
Be warned this card does pump out heat like a mad man, be sure your case has good airflow.
The card is much longer than the 4870 x2 and 7870, I had so much room before this card I knew it would fit, but now the power cables barely fit on one side of it.
I have 2x5 inch fans on the side of my case and that is plenty for airflow.

This card puts out so much heat that even at standard clocks the fan on the back of my case is constantly blowing hot air, I moved my case to where it is wedged in a corner with the back pointing behind my desk and along the wall. I had to because my motherboard was getting up to 45C, my SSD was getting up to 43 and my processor was nice and cool surprisingly at 55C. Standard for each is 27C for motherboard, 31C for SSD and 55C for the processor ambient temp of 70F

All and all, it's a great card and I highly recommend it. I'm a tad bummed it's not black as advertised. It actually was a reason I got this one and not the turbo clocked one, though both have the exact same hardware, just different clocks, but you can adjust it, so no real problem there.

And if anyone from newegg is reading this, I would really like to not have to return this card and buy it again just to get 3 free games. The $10-$20 for return shipping makes that completely worth while, even if there were a 15% restock fee, it would still be worthwhile.

5 out of 5 eggsWow...

Pros: -Quiet fan
-Runs cool (never broke 68*) during repeated benchmarking
- Running Star Citizen Hangar at steady 60FPS on High and 40FPS on Ultra
- Great price for a monster card.

Cons: This thing is Long. I mean really long. I have a full size case and I had to cut out a slot in my lower hard drive cage in order for it to fit. Totally worth it though.

4 out of 5 eggsa little disappointed

Pros: great card. fast, plays anything perfectly

Cons: not a con on the card, but 2 days after I ordered this card the price dropped 70 dollars on this site. that blows.
I can see 5 or 10 dollars, but 70? wow...
