With a life span of up to 50,000 hours the fan delivers reliable, long lasting performance. The card also features fan control and monitoring, you are able to read fan speed and Asic temperature from iTurbo or other software. Memory and mosfet are equipped with heat sinks for extra heat dissipation. The card is below 28dB when watching movies, surfing Facebook, working. The card remains quiet whether you are gaming, socializing online, entertaining, or working.

5 out of 5 eggs+4 months

Pros: i put one of them threw gaming with my 1st gen i5 machine just to see how it would do even though i did not buy them for gaming;

160fps league of legends all max
130fps deadspace all max
86fps world of warcraft all max, 61fps in org/stormwind
130fps in CS:GO
and 1670fps in osu! (2d game)

mining;
470khash scrypt
240khash scrypt-n
1300khash x11

these cards in my setup run at 67-72c GREAT coolers!
for 4 months straight i run these cards hard and they have yet to disappoint!

Cons: open air design, just a personal thing
some might not like the loud fans

Other Thoughts: i bought 5 of these for mining 4 months ago... and i can say all five are still running strong. they have gone threw a month of scrypt, a month of x11 and two of scrypt-n.

i overclocked them to the following and have not changed them since:

1100mhz core
1250mhz memory (underclock from 1400stock)
+20 powertune
no volt mod
no bios mod

5 out of 5 eggsGot a replacement

Pros: Very powerful GPU at a good price. Runs almost any game at ultra settings. Newegg was good with replacing my GPU. If any of you happen to get a faulty GPU Newegg is good with RMA's.

Cons: AMD's drivers are not very good. And I did get a GPU that went bad but it was replaced quickly!

Other Thoughts: I am glad I got a replacement. It seems to be fine now. I am back to running my games at ultra settings. I also noticed my replacement R9 270 has Hynix instead of Elpida. That is a awesome plus for me.

1 out of 5 eggsArtifacts! BAD!

Pros: The card in theory should be wonderful, But I can't say it has any pros because of the Artifacts in games I have not been able to resolce.

Cons: Either AMD is selling 7000, series and R-200 series cards with defective V-Ram or they can't get their drivers to properly handle the V-Ram. Either way I got ripped off!

Other Thoughts: I would stay away from any ATI/AMD GPU, I am not the only one with Artifact issues. Many other have returned their cards or just plain got burned, I want to exchange this one for a GTX 660 if I can.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome GPU Great Price!

Pros: Everything about the card is a pro, It looks great, It runs 29c idle 46c under load, The R9 270 maxes all my games, I love the wide fast memory bandwidth, Characters in a cut scene now look normal instead of shaky like they did with the 650Ti's low memory band. It is just a wonderful Card! Also I had absolutely no driver problems, Plus I got 2 free games!

Cons: Zero Cons, Anyone finding a con with a $179 dollar video card that maxes every game at 1080, and comes with free games should have their head examined.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's Eggsaver was also very efficient and very good! I got the card in just a few days, Coming from New Jersey to Kentucky. This card replaced my MSI GTX 650 Ti 1GB that I got from Newegg last year for a good price too, And the R9 270 is a big difference, I am also glad to know my i5 750 handles it perfect. But I am still upgrading later if the CPU and motherboard I want are still at a decent price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, with one issue

Pros: Great for High/Ultra settings at 1080P for pretty much any game, very cool and quiet, pretty nice cooler design, relatively small which means a large amount of smaller cases will work with this card

Cons: The box says that the card is supposed to include a Crossfire Bridge, and I did not get one with my purchase

Other Thoughts: I want to Crossfire two of these cards in the near future, and I am not currently able to do so since I didn't get the bridge that was supposed to come with the card. I'm disappointed and wish that HIS would send me a Crossfire Bridge so that I don't have to buy one. I shouldn't HAVE to buy one if one came with the card like it should have

Manufacturer Response:

Pls send the purchase proof of your R9 270 & your contact info to webenquiry@hightech.com.hk and we will send you one CrossFire Cable.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Value, great for High or Ultra 1080P Gaming

Pros: -When AMD's prices are not inflated, this card cannot be beaten by anything nVidia offers in the same price range of around $180
-The card stays considerably cool while gaming, temps only get high when running benchmarks
-If you don't plan on overclocking past the factory set limits, then all you have to do is move the sliders all the way over and you're done. Excellent overclocker, no problems if you accept the 1050MHz core and 1500MHz memory limit.
-Pretty short card, great for smaller cases.
-Only requires one 6-pin connector
-Quiet
-Crossfire Compatible
-Comes with an adapter for old monitor cables, so if you have an older monitor you don't need to spend $120+ on an new one if you don't want to. I think it's a standard VGA adapter, not quite sure, I'm pretty bad with remembering the names of things

Cons: -If you want to overclock past the factory set limits, the card pretty much immediately starts tearing up the screen and having a seizure.
-The automatic fan setting is quiet, but doesn't seem to like bumping up fan speed very much. The card needs to be VERY hot for the software to start actually turning those fans with some actual speed.
-Does not come with a XFire Bridge, but that could be a resolved issue, seeing as I bought this card a few weeks after launch when it was very new.
-Flimsy design, kind of sags when put into a motherboard. Doesn't shake, but makes me cringe when I see it

Other Thoughts: This card is an absolute beast for it's MSRP price tag of $180. It can play anything I throw at it at 30+ or 60+ FPS at High or Ultra settings, and stays very cool and quiet. HIS is underrated in my opinion, having a very nice fan design, but kind of cheap due to plastic build. Be careful when handling the card. Other than that, it's a great card. Only 4 Egg rating since the problems this card has are bothersome. I really want to overclock past factory limits, and I know how to, but I crash every time I try to. I can get about 50 more MHz past limits but after that the card decides to get lazy and the computer needs to be reset

2 out of 5 eggsNot good in my experience

Pros: This card does run games at decent frames, and it doesn't get very hot with the fan and heatsink design.

Cons: I get really bad artifacting all the time. It's very annoying. Also, since installing this card my computer stutters at least twice a minute. Due to this, it seems all my load times are slowed.

The stability of this card is garbage. My 6870 was by far just as good at framerates and eyefinity. Considering the price of this card I'd expect a decent performance increase. But I only find that my frustration increases every time I see artifacts start to appear on my screens.

Other Thoughts: I've downloaded the most recent video drivers from the AMD website. With those my performance was completely terrible, so I reverted to the prior drives, which brought me to where I am now.

5 out of 5 eggsNot Bad for it's price

Pros: Well I haven't had no problems with it yet. Considering I have 7 other fans in my case, I cant really tell if its loud or not. So far I was able to play Saints row 3 and 4 on full graphics with very little lagg. 47-59 frames most of the time. Need for speed rivals works fine on it too. I have a ASrock 990Extreme3 Motherboard. FX8350 8-core 4.0ghz black edition CPU, with a 650W PSU Diablotek. 16gb 1866mhz DC Kingston Ram pro series. Everything seems to be going alright. Has Windows 8.1. on it. Card installed easily and had no problems installing OS system with it

Cons: Don't really have any yet besides I noticed the card was a bit bulky then most other cards I've seen so far. It didn't come with everything either but I blame the HIS packaging Dept for that. It didn't come with DriversCD or the link for crossfireX. The bridge thingy...whatever U call em lol. I wasn't gonna duel them up anyways unless I need too. It also was supposed to come with a free game, like battlefield 4 or something, but I didn't get that either.

Other Thoughts: I use mine normally so I can't exactly think of other thoughts about it. I haven't tried to overclock it or anything, probably never will, so I don't know much on how that works out. I heard it wasn't the greatest for it, but hell its barely considered a high-end video card. Close to high-end but not. More of a REALLY nice middle-end card. So I wouldn't overclock it too much anyways.
