4 out of 5 eggsPretty good card for the price!

Pros: It's a good GPU for the price (bought it for $140) and runs most of my games at high to ultra at 60 fps! Played Borderlands 2, Dark Souls 2, Chivalry, L4D2, Payday 2, Alien Isolation, Divinity, The Evil Within, Saints Row 4, Sleeping Dogs, and Witcher 2 at 60 fps from high to ultra no problem (using AMD FX 8320)! The two fans helps the GPU from going high in temperature and it's very quiet.

Cons: The GPU was a little dirty/dusty when I opened it. Not sure what was up with that. I thought I ordered a refurbished one but it wasn't after double checking my order. Furthermore, I was getting some screen tears so I took it out and put it back in and it went away. It's slightly slanted looking from the outside of my computer, but it's not really a problem.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a pretty good card. If you're on a budget, get this card and you will not be disappointed.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Up until it died, 1 week after install it seemed like a great deal.

Cons: No screen after a week. Put my old 5850 back in and everything is fine.

Other Thoughts: I had not sent in my rebate forms with my upc label before my card failed and was able to exchange with newegg with no hassle outside of paying for shipping.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
We are sorry for your situation and suggest you try to check following steps.
1. If possible verify the HIS graphics card on another working system or verify another working card on your motherboard. Need to ensure that the platform is no problem.
2. If you need further assistant, please feel free to contact our customer service department directly.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Can't comment on it since my computer screen would flicker then go black when I installed the card.

Cons: Ah....DOA

Other Thoughts: Don't cut out the UPC code until you know the card works.

I thought the card was not working because of the driver, so I put my old card back in so I can see my monitor and upload the current driver from the manufacturer website. I deleted all previous drivers installed the new drivers and , powered down my computer. Put the HIS iPower IceQ X² Boost H270QM2G2M Radeon R9 270 in and powered my computer back up. After a few minutes with my computer on, my monitor would flicker again, get stuck and then "fade to black".
I thought I would have no problem getting a replacement. But not so, since I already sent in my UPC for the rebate. I don't know why it's a problem....I'm not returning it for a refund..Just trying to get one that works....Just send me a replacement and put it in the old box with the UPC code cut out....Even with this messed up replacement request, I still compliment customer service who have helped me numerous times in the past.
I've had several Gigabyte video cards with no troubles..This is my first HIS card....may be my last....

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Bought this one because it was just a few dollars more than the 260X and by far was the better bang for the buck. It only uses 1 6pin so its better on power than my 7870. It's also very quiet so that's a big plus.

Cons: It feels a little flimsy when holding it, not a big deal really since its going to be in your computer.

Other Thoughts: The single 6pin is great for slightly lower end builds but also makes it harder to push the card when OCing. I haven't tried to OC it yet because my gf doesn't play too demanding games (except GW2....which still isn't optimized for anything) Otherwise for 140 dollars (which is 120 dollar cheaper than my asus 7870 i bought new...) it;s an amazing deal.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: -Cheap
-very good value
-good display support
-excellent cooling design

Cons: -AMDs drivers are a bit lacking. Installed this in a system for a friend and with the newest drivers (omega drivers to be exact) he had blue screens when he tab between programs. The issue was resolved by going back a driver set.

1 out of 5 eggsAMD Bad - Newegg Returns Worse

Pros: Card looked good at first, but started dropping out of game. After a day it dumped out of games to blue screen or locked up computer.

Cons: Card died

Other Thoughts: Ordered AMD video card online for Christmas in November. Price seemed good because of a big rebate. Got the card quickly and installed it. Mailed in the rebate (with the UPC code as required) and card stopped working. Returned the card but Newegg Warranty is USELESS because of missing UPC code. I GUESS THATS WHY THEY HAVE YOU MAIL THE UPC CODE IN FOR A REBATE. Bad card is being mailed back to me from Newegg and I still haven't gotten a rebate. Did I mention that now my son's computer isn't working for Christmas?

1 out of 5 eggsGood card, bad company

Pros: A good card that runs cool and quiet. I gave them 1 egg due to poor business practices

Cons: Company offers rebates they do not intend on honoring. I bought 2 of these cards and submitted the rebate form and it was denied due to mismatching upc codes. Yup, they took the SINGLE form and matched the 2 upc's to the wrong line on the form and denied it saying they did not match!! They scan it as it comes in and you can clearly see the 2 upc's match what's on the form. They now tell me all I have to do is resubmit separately and it'll be good. Of course they won't return the upc codes nor apply them to the new forms and you only get 1 per box.....

... so yah you see where this is going.

Other Thoughts: I would avoid buying from a company that acts this shady. The other r9-270 cards work just as well as this one and I know from experience that Gigabit, Asus and other brands do not try to cheat customers out of rebates.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Powerful, Low price, Will run any modern game, Runs very cool, Runs silent. The auto voltage is very nice! Most zombie people think they are voltage locked because they do not realize that the voltage raises automatically on it's own. But for people of today it is a miracle they even know how to speak.

Cons: Not the best overclocking model, But it is not bad either, I have no idea why HIS went with a 5 phase board and not a 6 phase, The 5 phase is really not any different from a 4, So if they are going to go through the trouble of adding why not make it worthwhile?

Other Thoughts: Since I got the newer version that they sale now, I have had zero problems since May of 2014! It is now November, This card runs very well! I use a 20inch 1600x900 Monitor with my rig, And I can max out any game! For the price performance this card is the best out today! And AMD's drivers are now finally improving! I know with a card like this most will think I am crazy not using a 1900x1080p, But I think the 1600x900 models look just as good, And you also gain a huge performance advantage! Also Monitor prices are still outrages, So I actually had to buy my current monitor used, It is a 20inch HP 2009m, And I actually was just able to trade my old GTX 650 Ti even for it. I was using just a old Hansol H711 17inch LCD 1280x1024 before I got my new monitor, And I actually get higher FPS now with my new 1600x900 than I did with my old 17inch 1280x1024 monitor. I have been so happy with this AMD card that I am thinking of maybe buying the new R9 285, But I want to wait for a 4GB model, I just hope the 4GB R9 285's are not insanely priced just because the extra V-Ram like with most cards.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: Runs Titanfall at very high (intense setting is reserved for 3gb+ cards so I didn't try) at what seems to be very good fps I didn't notice any lag. Runs Arma 3 at ultra at around 30 fps more or less depending on whats happening in the game. I can't tell how loud it is because my cpu fan is the loudest thing in my room but temps are nice and cool.

Cons: AMD free game thing is a real pain if you don't get the coupon code immediately as you would if you bought it from here.

Other Thoughts: I saw that people had a problem with the plastic of this card but for me it didn't seem flimsy at all when handling it or even pushing on it to get it in my motherboard.
