4 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Bought it because my 6500 cooling fan went bad as a cheap replacement, but after getting it was very suprized on how good it was. Not a 9600 or anything but well worth the money. Watch O/C it runs alittle hot

Cons: none yet

4 out of 5 eggsOverkill

Pros: Large memory capacity and fairly good GPU for a low profile card. Price is reasonable and its PCI Express...
Of course after you read my Cons, you will see that you can still buy this, but I wouldnt recomend the 1gb allocation.

Cons: Although the memory capacity can be allocated to 1gb, it would not be used efficiently because the GPU is only a 8400GS, even 512mb is stretching it. The best way to visualize this is that the Memory is sand and the GPU is a funnel. The more sand that goes through the funnel, the faster the processes are run. In this case, there is way more sand than needed, so there will always be excess sand at the top of the funnel because the funnel is not large enough to let all the sand through.

Other Thoughts: If you need a low power consumption, low profile graphics card for multimedia, casual gaming, or everyday computer use, I would suggest the Jaton(tm) PX8400GS_EX. It has the same GPU (8400GS) but the memory capacity is 512mb so it can be used more efficiently.

1 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for!

Pros: None for me.

Cons: This video card provided no performance increase over my intergrated video card, and the onboard cooling fan failed after two hours of use.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg doesn't pay for return shipping on defective parts. Not quite sure how they can say they are not responsible for what they sell.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: First off, I'm excited to say that this card will work in a small desktop GX 280. I only have a 280W power supply and the card runs fine no issues. I'm able to play Urban Terror (quake 3 based) and max settings and 1650x1080 resolution and stay above 40 fps. Tried out WoW on it and I am playing it on medium, maybe a little lower, but I prefer frame rate to quality. Also I can play "Hitman:Blood Money" on medium settings with a great frame rate.

Cons: Seems that this card is going to get warm if I tweak the over-clock settings. Looking into buying a 3.5" Fan to fill in for the sloppy drive. Also when the DVI has a VGA converter on it, it seems to make my text on screen a tad fuzzy. Nothing major or headache inducing though.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone looking to play some games and enjoy them for the game not necessarily the "immense quality" that could be offered by a computer. Good buy and a great fit for what I was looking for.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazed

Pros: Very good graphics card. First off this is an amazing deal, also the spec's of this card are outstanding. I can play all Half Life 2 series on High detail, and have had NO problems. Now someone else said that it used a 350 Watt power supply, now yes that is what the box said. But I checked my power supply and it says 275W. But this card replaced my old Nvidia Gx4000.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Amazing card for an amazing price.

5 out of 5 eggsIMPRESSED!

Pros: All i can say is wow. This card has completely blown my old one out of the water *128mb 5200 fx Nvidia*
I havnt benchmark tested it yet but it has completely surpassed my expectations for a low profile card!
- LARGE copper heatsink w/fan
- can be allocated up to 1GB!
- Nvidia =D
- pci-express x16

Cons: Only 64 - bit, but that still doesnt make much of an impact on casual gaming.

Other Thoughts: I only have it on 512mb atm because i only have 1gb of ram in my system. Planning to upgrade to 2gb soon, will re-review when i get it.
My rig (so far) this awesome graphics card, 1.6ghz dual core pentium D, 1gb (512mb x 2 dual channel) corsair ddr2 800. Not much yet, but building off a Vostroo 200 slim tower.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: I installed this in my HP s3100n computer. The low profile fits perfectly into the PCI-E slot, and the low-profile brackets, included in the box, were relatively easy to install. The hardware itself was simple to install and Vista installed the drivers easily (just make sure to disable the on-board video first). It has increased my Vista gaming score from 3.0 to 4.5, and a quick jaunt through Homeworld 2 showed a noticeable increase in graphics quality/performance. COD4 and Half-Life 2 are next on my list to try. Vista also seems to be running slightly better with more free memory from the now-unused on-board card.

Cons: None as of yet (I will update if any appear). NewEgg doesn't list the power requirements, which happen to be 350W, as the box states. You can hear the on-board fan when no games are running, but with music or game sounds it disappears into the backgroun.

Other Thoughts: Appears to be a great value for the money. I haven't tried any intense graphic games out yet, but the card holds a half-gig of memory at a reasonable speed for what my system. If you plan on using the VGA-out, make sure you have two available slots on your computer for the LP brackets. I had to take out my modem (no big loss), but if you only have one you will have to buy a DVI-VGA adapted.
