1 out of 5 eggsNOT a PCIE 2.0 CARD!

Pros: None that i can think of...

Cons: No low profile.
Does not work with PCI E 2.0 Motherboards (tried 3)
DOES work with PCI e 1.0 x16 (tried 2 older boards)
Motherboard did work as they started right up with some zotac cards.

GALAXY SUPPORT & REBATES IS A JOKE!
Took me 4 1/2 months to get my $15 card in the mail!

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money. Go zotac! Cheap and awesome performance.

Cons: Does not contain a low profile bracket so it is useless to me.

Other Thoughts: None.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price

Pros: Works as advertised, great for everyday 2D desktop environments with casual 3D use. Good video playback.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If your looking for a decent graphics card for everyday computing with a DVI monitor, this is perfect. Also does well with light 3D rendering use of older pc games.

2 out of 5 eggsUhh... it's a card.

Pros: Cheap, low-profile.

Cons: Low-profile bracket is the wrong way! I had to hack at it, bend it and twist it to make it fit properly where it needed to be. Epic fail.

Other Thoughts: It works. Would have given it 3 eggs if they would have shipped a proper low-profile bracket...

3 out of 5 eggsCheap Card

Pros: The card features Direct X 10 for a up coming gamer. cheap card bought it for $25 not a lot for it. Easy and quick to install quite fan few problems with it.

Cons: Its not for a hard gamer does not support Direct x 11 and at times may lag in games mainly because its a cheap graphics card. thats about it.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad card for price

3 out of 5 eggsIs it an 8400gs or GT210 series?

Pros: Have recently bought two Galaxy 8400gs cards. One had a G98GS core in it. This model (84GEE6DC2EMM) has a GT218 core.

The GT218 core runs very cool when idle, it scales the frequency back to 135mhz when in 2D mode. In full 3D mode, it goes up to 567mhz.

Cons: Slow.... but you knew that.

Currently, the official Nvidia drivers (263.09) do not support this card in Windows XP. The driver installer will say "no hardware is recognized".

The CD provided by Galaxy has version 259 beta on it.

Other Thoughts: Hard to believe Nvidia would market three different generations of cores as "8400GS"...

Too bad Galaxy doesn't provide a low profile bracket...

4 out of 5 eggsOk for WIN 7

Pros: Easy install of drivers using the CD. Ran the Win 7 upgrade test on my old Dell E510 and it passed all tests- finally. Cheapest card I could find that passed for Win 7 Aero video and had drivers for Win 7, Vista and XP. I'm getting another one for a 3 year old inexpensive Vista computer before I upgrade it, too. Low power supply requirement of 300 watts just cut it on my Dell's 305 W supply.

Cons: None really for the $19.95 price after rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsSend "original" UPC tag?

Pros: Affordable card with good performance. Fine to get you started in gaming. Card does come with low profile adapters that you don't have to buy extra.

Cons: The rebate says to send the original UPC sticker off the box, but the sticker says the warranty is void if the sticker is removed. Doesn't make sense to me. Also, the card wasn't shipped with an invoice.

3 out of 5 eggsRebate? Where is the upc code on the box?

Pros: Cheap card for average computer user.

Cons: Rebate requirements say you must turn in the upc code for the item, but the box has no upc codes anywhere. There are small barcode labels on the card itself, but would not come off unless you destroy. Just Great!
