1 out of 5 eggsWorked for less than a year

Pros: Card was pretty good while it worked. I used it mainly for video to my TV. I did not play games on it so I can't speak to how it works for that.

Cons: Worked for less than a year. The galaxytech website is painfully slow. Registration was down for a week so i couldn't register the card. Then when it came back up i still couldn't register the card because it said there was missing information though every field was field out. I called tech support to get a replacement card and they referred me back to their janky website. I have sent in an email request per the warranty so we will see what happens.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for Windows and Linux

Pros: Very silent and performs great for the cost. Can barely hear it when gaming hard. Works great on Windows as well as Linux. Little more difficult to setup in Linux however (See other thoughts).

Cons: None that I encountered. Great card.

Other Thoughts: Note to Linux Users: You must boot with the nomodeset command to load linux the first time so you can install the drivers. Just google "nvidia linux nomodeset" if you do not know what I mean.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Silent Card

Pros: This card runs extremely fast. It runs all my games are max or near to max settings at 1920x1080.

Also, the card is pretty quiet. I don't even notice the noise from it. Some people complain because the card is "too loud". If you don't want noise coming from your computer parts, don't buy a case that is completely open or made from mesh, because of course you are going to be able to hear the fans if you do this.

This card isn't oversized. Some cards with this performance are much larger.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsdead

Pros: was a good card ran all my game very well at 1680x1050

Cons: the only thing was when i started playing battliefield 3 that was it i could hear the card making sounds that came from the gpu and last week as i was playing the game the blue screen of death came on my computer and that was it

Other Thoughts: galaxy did send me a new card very fast but did over night the card to them and they sent me the same card not the new model of this card

3 out of 5 eggsProblems

Pros: Graphics good.

Cons: I run Ubuntu along with Windows 7. After installing GTX550 Ti Ubuntu did not work anymore. I could not reinstall Ubuntu. Checked the Ubuntu forums. They had problems with the 550 Ti also. Tried their suggestions. Could not reinstall Ubuntu.

Other Thoughts: Better not purchase this card if you run Ubuntu. Otherwise it works fine with Windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase

Pros: In my opinion this is a great card. It runs everything I have thrown at it on the highest settings without a hiccup. Shogun 2 and Napoleon:Total War on ultra at 40 FPS and MW3 above 60. It's very quiet and cool as well, stays within heat tolerances with just the stock fan.

Cons: The VGA and HDMI ports are awkwardly close together, is a very snug fit to have both those ports in use. Although most people won't use both of the at the same time like I do so it shouldn't a problem, didnt knock off an egg for it.

Other Thoughts: Awesome buy, with a sale and a rebate only paid $90 for. Couldn't be happier with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent bang for the buck!

Pros: I upgraded from a monstrous BFG 9800 GTX to this. The size is much smaller than my old card and it only takes one additional power plug vs. two with my GTX. It runs flawless I haven't had any issues in Win 7-64 and would recommend this card to anyone looking for a middle of the road video card.

Cons: This isn't a giant complaint but when you push this card the fan is pretty loud. My last three cards were all BFG and none of them had really any fan noise while pushing the card. This is including my 9800 GTX which had multiple fans. Its not the end of the world and not enough to drop an egg off the rating. Also the added HDMI port is nice but I would have rather have two DVI inputs on the back. I don't run a dual monitor setup but its nice to be able to have the option in case HDMI is out of the question.

Other Thoughts: I have been a loyal follower of BFG (mostly because of their limetime warranty) but I am definitely a Galaxy convert now. Easy setup and works flawless. Other than some fan noise I would recommend this card to anyone looking to upgrade an aging video card. Also Newegg ROCKS!

5 out of 5 eggsCard is fine but...

Pros: After running through some tests, card works like you would expect a 550 TI to work.

Cons: All my cons are for newegg. When I ordered a different picture was present for the product. The picture had a galaxy card that took up one slot total. The dell OEM box this is in only has one slot, and it has a large fan shroud for the processor that takes up some of the back room. After measuring the picture compared to the PCI Express slot, we ordered it. After opening the box, the card did not look like the one pictured, it took up two slots and had a large fan shroud. We only made it fit doing things you should never do to a card and voiding the warranty in the process, but it works.

Other Thoughts: The picture has since been updated to the correct card.
