5 out of 5 eggsWonderful card!

Pros: Currently running two monitors, and the card runs nearly flawlessly. While recording and playing high FPS games, and having a browser open for quick references, the card runs hundreds of times better than my onboard.

Cons: The card easily gets hot, which is a major problem. I bought two PCI fans to put on either side of it to keep it cool (which, might I add, is working great).

Other Thoughts: Wonderful card, beautiful quality, the only downfall being the heat given off... I'd highly recommend the brand and the card to anyone looking for a good gaming card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget video card

Pros: Bought it for more of a budget build. Couldn't be happier. I can run any game on ultra with very little to no lag at all. Great value.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsVery good !

Pros: 2048 MB of video memory is more than enough for you to crank up some extra settings in your games without much lag. She can handle just about anything out there now and run them at some good frames.

The fan can be pulled down for easy clean up for the heat sink and fan. Very helpful !

Cons: It's still a GTX 550 and not a GTX 560. But don't underestimate this card.

Other Thoughts: Personally, I think the driver disc is useless since you'll be getting the updated drivers online.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Handles newest games at great framerates, able to render 720p video in very reasonable speeds. Card stays very cool in a decently loaded system. 1080p output is fantastic for bluray playback.

Cons: None so far!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ard

Pros: Plays all my games at max. Cooling seems decent, even in a small case. This replaced an ATI card of similar specs, will probably stick with invidia from now on

Cons: None so far. Was a pretty tight fit in my lian le case, but I got it in there :-)

4 out of 5 eggsgood card, bad service

Pros: its a good card, it plays whatever i want it too, in high to super high detail and resolution.
i think it looks good, and has good cooling.
not super loud like some other cards i've had.
its nice to have a fold out fan, that makes it easier to clean.

Cons: i still had to add extra cooling to keep the card stable even without overclocking. ( i have a cooler master haf 922 case(it has very good air circulation))
the fan becomes the loudest thing in my computer, at high usage.
the customer service sucks! i mailed in for the $30 mail-in rebate, but was rejected. they said i didnt have all the paper work. they scanned what i mailed in, and i looked at the scans on line, and i DID have all the paper work!!

Other Thoughts: i'd prefer this card had a SLI cable with it in the box.
also i would not rely on galaxy mail-in rebates again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Kid.crash,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting your rebate. I'd like to offer my help in getting the problem resolved. Please email me directly at andrew@galaxytechus.com with whatever info you can provide, and I'll see to it that this issue gets straightened out quickly as possible.

Thanks,

4 out of 5 eggsFolding

Pros: Can put everything on max and the games work fine. Average of 45 fps on New Vegas. 60 on A.V.A. (its a free online game)

Cons: Very glitchy at first. Display driver would crash, games would stop and i would have to press ctrl-alt-dlt to get em working again. Blue-screens too

Other Thoughts: Note* bad with ASUS MOBOs, mine and from others. Especially with internal GPU. You have to go into the bios and change from internal GPU (ATI) being first on the list to PCI, (ex. glrx-ati-clr-pci idunno to pci-..blah blah). Very glitchy unless you do that.

For a Folding benchmark (kind of i guess) with my Galaxy GTX 550ti 2gb and Phenom 9850 x4:
MilkyWay@Home (cuda_opencl)(0.05 CPUs + 1.0 GPU) 49481 GFLOPs Size. Speed was 35.84 GFLOPs. Took 19:03 minutes.
SETI@Home (cuda_fermi)(0.69 CPUs + 1.0 GPU) 158350 GFLOPs Size. Speed was 207.73 GFLOPS. Took 15:00 minutes.

If you need something more, just tell me what you need and how to do it and ill get back to you. Hope this helps you Folders out.
