Based on the much anticipated new architecture Kepler (the successor to the Fermi architecture), the NVIDIA GTX 680 is not only the world’s fastest GPU but also the most power efficient one. The streaming multiprocessor is redesigned for optimal performance per watt. GPU Boost technology is also employed to dynamically increase clock speed to improve performance within the card's power budget. With the GTX 680, you need just two 6-pin connectors. This is because the GTX 680 draws at most 195 watts of power, compared to 244 watts on the GeForce GTX 580. Play games quieter and cooler.

With GTX 680, gaming is smoother. FXAA and the new TXAA eliminate jaggies. Games get super smooth edges without tanking the performance. Adaptive V-Sync improves upon a feature that many gamers swear by. So you can play with V-sync enabled and not worry about sudden dips in framerate. Finally, a single GPU now powers a full NVIDIA Surround setup plus an accessory display. There is simply no better way to play a racing game or flight simulator. Add in NVIDIA PhysX technology, and the GTX 680 delivers an amazingly rich gaming experience. For upgraded gaming experience, SLI technology lets you link up to three GeForce GTX 680s together.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology*. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality. (*Requires NVIDIA 3D LightBoost monitor or notebook.)

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for a couple months then died

Pros: Was awesome, wicked fast while it worked.

Cons: IT DIED!!! Just up and died on me today. Lot's of blue 'garbage' on my screen at POST. BSOD on boot. If I could get into windows, the 'driver not responding' error and recovery OVER AND OVER till windows would BSOD or hard lock.

Uninstalled driver, re-installed to no avail (when I could get into windows)

Popped my GTX 580 in, re-installed drivers, NO PROBLEMS.

I'm honestly stumped has to how this happened. Nothing new done to my system, No OC, no nothing. I just can't figure it.

Other Thoughts: Waiting on response from Galaxy Tech RMA, but the process, just like registration does not appear to be promising.

Probably the LAST Galaxy product I will EVER buy.

4 out of 5 eggsHaving Issues

Pros: -Reference Card 9so all speeds the same
-Quiet
-Runs games smooth (when it wants)
-Galaxy cards reference arent garbage

Cons: -Galaxy Support is garbage (system has been down for nearly 4 weeks now)
-MASSIVE artifacts in Max Payne 3, BF3, DayZ
-Red Screen of Death (RSOD)
-Been trying to RMA for 4 weeks and cant get the process going...last time i buy from galaxy JUST because of their lack of support

Other Thoughts: I thought my RSOD and Artifacting was possibly a driver issue as Nvidia has been reporting of horrible drivers so far for the 600 series. But after running basic tests, it seems that it is the hardware of the card unfortunately :/

But the support is so bad, that ill pay the extra $10-15 for a MSI, or EVGA card because their support is top notch and is why I keep going back to them.

1 out of 5 eggsIf you want a GTX 680, pick a different brand. SERIOUSLY!

Pros: Keplar, Modestly quiet for a high end video card

Cons: Expensive, Quit working after 1 week, Galaxy support VERY SLOW to respond to RMA requests (even their ticket system has been down multiple days)

Other Thoughts: Since Newegg can't keep these cards in stock, you will be forced to contact the manufacturer or get a refund if something goes wrong. My GTX 680 decided to quit working after a week. When it loads to the Windows 7 login prompt, my monitor would go into Standby mode. I troubleshooted this to the nth degree, and my PC and monitor are fine, it's a bad video card.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Time Buyer

Pros: ITs a gtx680 reference card. Its fast and cool and nice overclock abilities

Cons: Its from a no name brand. Galaxy is a small company with not the best name like EVGA or ASUS. My card just died / dying today as artifacting like crazy. Going through RMA process now, hopefully they will shine here and will keep a dedicated customer. Sucks, because I wanted to go outside the main distributors liek ASUS and EVGA but it looks like I can't after this :(.

Other Thoughts: Galaxy is a good small company, but may need to work on detailed inspections before going live on products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, Good Company

Pros: Great card, easy to OC. Runs quieter than other 680s I've heard about, cheap compared to the others as well.

Cons: Some stuttering after loading, but that might be other components. The same warranty issues that everyone else mentioned are present, it takes forever. It'd be much easier to set up a website to handle warranty info.

Other Thoughts: Great newcomer to the graphics card industry, I hope they do well!

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny!

Pros: Runs all games i throw at it without the slightest amount of lag. Respectfully quiet. Lower power consumption and very low heat output. Good price considering it the fastest single GPU out to date. Good company, perhaps better than EVGA in some ways.

Cons: On very graphics intensive environments on very few games there is a slight bit of coil wine but other than that none.

Note: i did have a little bit of trouble registering the product and the reason behind that was because Galaxy Tech was backed up.

Other Thoughts: If you want the most bang for your buck then i recommend this card. If you want to be able to run all your games at maximum settings then i recommend this card. And if you call yourself a hardcore gamer i most definitely recommend this card.

5 out of 5 eggsA Monster..

Pros: This Card is a Beast... Quiet, Efficient, Fast, and Powerful. If you have the cash definitely go with this card.

Cons: On battlefield 3 I get some dips to the high 40's at times on maxed ultra, but I'm pretty sure thats a fault of the game itself and not this card. Or, it could be the drivers, which are always improving.

Other Thoughts: I am buying a 2nd one for SLI... 2560x1600

5 out of 5 eggsGalaxy 68NPH6DV5ZGX GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Works great! I mainly play bf3 everything on ultra at 1920x1080 and I consistently get 60-80ish fps. If you get the chance, buy it!

Cons: Gtx 670 overclocked is almost on par with this and $100 cheaper but oh well...

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a EVGA Gtx 560 ti 448 cores classified ultra and the diff is night and day.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat graphics card but slightly annoying registration

Pros: Performance is seriously outstanding. Temps are surprisingly really cool as well. Adaptive v-sync is an awesome feature

Cons: It's already been said before a million times but getting the card registered with Galaxy is a slight pain. I almost took off an egg for this

Other Thoughts: If you're just going to play Tribes and Diablo 3 all day, you definitely don't need this card. If you want to create a super computer, buy this card :P
