1 out of 5 eggsGalaxy's fault, not Newegg's.

Pros: This was a decent card while it worked. Played most 2009-2010 games at highest settings.

Cons: Literally the SECOND day after owning this card, my screen would just randomly turn black during light usage for 5-8 minutes. Turns out, when I opened my case, the card was making a very quiet, high pitched squeal and was barely putting out any air at all. The fan had died and the card was overheating. Very poor quality product. This GPU manufacturer will never get my business again.

Other Thoughts: Anyone considering this card as a cheap replacement, please heed these warnings in the reviews. This card WILL fail shortly after purchase. This product is just faulty by design.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Card I ever bought

Pros: Inexpensive, VGA, HDMI, and DVI out.

Cons: They seem to have defective fans. I bought several of these cards earlier in the summer and almost all of them have had the fans die after light office use. I bought them so I could set up dual monitors for secretarial work.

Other Thoughts: I can't tell what the problem is. Because the fan will just stop running and the computer will eventually shut down due to overheating of the video card. But sometimes the fan will actually run for a while before shutting off. Overall, it seems like a bad batch of cards. I won't make this mistake again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Andyofne,

Sorry you had such bad luck with your new cards. Have you contacted our support team yet at http://www.galaxytechus.com/usa/support.aspx to attempt to RMA the defective units? If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at andrew@galaxytechus.com and I'll do everything in my power to make sure you're 100% satisfied.

Thanks,

Andrew Fischer

5 out of 5 eggsOutanding

Pros: Everything is good about this Video card. Installed without a sngle issue and performs well on and XP machine that is 8 years old.

Dell wanted $139.00 for a card that was not even close to this one...

1 out of 5 eggsMore Hassle than it's worth

Pros: -Has an hdmi port
-cheap

Cons: -stopped working after a week of usage
-price indicates quality of product and customer service.

Other Thoughts: Buying this card seemed like a good idea at first. It's cheap, especially with a rebate. However the rebate requires you to physically send the serial number from the box and mail it in. (I also noted that the first serial number was a sticker that was covering another number, more on that later) When the card stopped working I decided ask the manufacturer for replacement rather than Newegg RMA to save on shipping. Even though they state a three year warranty they told me I had to send it back to Newegg because it had been less than 30 days since I bought it.
So I file an RMA with Newegg. When I hear back from them however, my replacement has been denied because the serial on the box and the card don't match (I sent my serial number to Galaxy for the rebate). When I realized this I was rather angry. 1. Two different serial number on the same box. 2. Defective. 3. Horrible customer service- I don't understand why they wouldn't replace my card under warranty. I suggest you steer clear.

3 out of 5 eggsnice card - bad support

Pros: nice card for the money

Cons: support says 24/7 phone support - but they don't answer!! Be sure the vendor you purchase from has goo support.
Website sometimes works.

Other Thoughts: probably won't purchase another Galaxy product
