A true heavy weapon for serious gamers, the Galaxy 68NQH6DN6DXZ GeForce GTX 680 GC 4GB graphics card delivers monstrous game-changing performance to dominate the most intense competition. Based on the fastest and most power efficient GPU ever built by NVIDIA - the 28nm Kepler architecture, this card features 1536 CUDA Cores with 4GB/256-bit GDDR5 memory and is factory overclocked to 1110MHz Base Clock/1176MHz Boost Clock, bringing your visual experience to a new level with awesome gaming prowess. Custom dual-fan thermal solution ensures efficient, quiet cooling that allows you to game in complete peace of mind. With support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI, the Galaxy GeForce GTX 680 GC 4GB gives you more than one way to elevate your experience.

  • newegg Custom Dual Fan Cooling High-efficiency dual-fan cooler keeps your video card running cool and stable even during the most challenging condition.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

Pros: This card is so powerful it doesn't need SLI. I still haven't got a game that could push it to it's limits yet. Maybe in 5 years there will be such a game. It's quiet even more so than my H100i in the case.

Cons: I miss the little case sticker.

Other Thoughts: Not a big fan of the complicated Nvidia surround.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a beast

Pros: This 680 runs everything ever, and has been going strong since the end of september. I have only three or four games that even engage full power clocks while using adaptive vsync. Most of my games use less then 50% of the possible speed of this card.

Cons: Had to use software to set the fan control curve. Without the software the fan would run only at 40% max and the card would shoot up to 60c while playing anything at all (even at 20% usage!) I set an aggressive fan curve with 40% at 30c to 100% at 50c with six steps inbetween, the card has never broken 32c since and that was on a very hot day.

Its kind of bulky and doesn't have a backplate

it didn't make me a sandwich

Other Thoughts: When I first bought this I was worried about the price, especially compared to the 670. But I wanted the best, and at the time (and the moment) this is the best.

5 out of 5 eggsBonafide Video Card

Pros: Super quiet. Runs fairly average temps in SLI. Top card never rises above 79*C and the bottom 73*C running COD B OPS II in 3D 120+ FPS hours on end with NVIDIA automatic fan settings. Runs at 1201 MHz boost on the core clock with standard settings. Doesn't miss a beat, and zero issues. Fits well in my P8Z77-V Premium board with GSKILL fan cooler on RAM. A unit with a Backplate would push up against the memory bracket and probably not fit in the PCIE slot without breaking the motherboard. Like the fact that they are only 10" long with a custom PCB. I'm using a 850 watt power supply which has two 8 pin and 2 6 pin power adapters built in. The extra power is the reason for the higher than rated boost clock rates that I'm seeing with these components.

Cons: Doesn't come with an SLI bridge... Their tech support needs help. Seeing how I have never owned a Galaxy / KFA2 product before, I decided to test their support talent with basic questions. They answer the phone straight away, but they have a very nonchalant attitude. Didn't need them for anything, just checking their grade so to speak with generic questions. Their quality of support is a concern.

Other Thoughts: Grab two of these units, SLI them, and start 3D'ing away. These graphic cards are really superior performing units in their own right without manually overclocking them higher. Newegg didn't have them in inventory so I had to go to the rain forest to retrieve them. Pleased with my purchase of two Galaxy 680 GC 4GB for SLI 3D 120 Hz FPS.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Monster performance. Low temperature. Runs my bf3 smoothly with 5760*1080 resolution on ultra graphic setting.

Cons: A back plate or bent protect plate would be nice.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast, handles everything I've thrown at it

Pros: Runs direct X11, even the toughest benchmarks rarely push the FPS below 30. It runs every game I tried at max settings with no problems. Big VRAM allows it to run many GPU intensive programs at once, I only used blender, unity and gimp, but it could run, for instance mudbox, UDK andphotoshop.

Cons: A little big, it is a little cramped in small computers, and it flexes a bit when installed. Not really a problem, but it is kind of scary to first time builders like me.

Other Thoughts: Great GPU, but no games currently on the market will even make this sweat, so if you want something ready for the next generation of games(console generation), this is about as close as you will get. If you want it to play this generation very well, you should save your cash and buy a cheaper card.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Card

Pros: Reasonably priced for a 4gb video memory version of the 680 series. Runs @ 40 C temps using Xtreme Tune @ full GPU/memory speed. Card is 10 inches long which is at least a half inch shorter than most high end, comparable cards.

Cons: Linux NVIDIA drivers presently only recognize 700 MHZ of GPU clock and not the factory OC of 1110 MHZ.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this card mainly for CUDA programming and not necessarily for gaming.

2 out of 5 eggsAwesome card, Bad customer service.

Pros: Fast! Every game on MAX settings. Factory overclock. Dual fan cooling! Everything you could ask for in the GTX 680!

Cons: Poor customer service support. My card started making a squeal noise when the card is working and not idle. The card still works but the sound is very annoying and it can be heard through my onboard sound card. Had to move my tower away from my desk, but can still hear the noise. Started an RMA, its been 5 days with no update. Very poor communication. Who knows if I will be taken care of.

Other Thoughts: Besides the poor customer service, this card rocks. Paired with a i7-3770K, this will play anything you throw at it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: + Runs cool, around 30 degrees Celsius on idle and around 40 under full load (I live in Miami too).

+ Quiet, can't hear a thing.

+ Lightning fast. The fact that I was able to max out ArmA II amazed me.

Cons: - The price, but still completely worth it, and you get 4GBs instead of the standard 2.

Other Thoughts: I don't regret purchasing this. Well worth the money.
