The Galaxy 66NPH7DV6VXZ is a factory overclocked GTX 660 Ti graphics card featuring over 1GHz frequency to pump more power from Kepler architecture. Built around the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti GPU with 1344 CUDA cores and a 192-bit memory interface, this card boasts a Galaxy-designed PCB with several notable improvements over the reference design. These improvements deliver better power handling and more efficient signal path, and thru-board ventilation allows for more effective component cooling. It is also equipped with the specially designed Galaxy Force Air Bracket for better air circulation.

The GTX 660 Ti GC 2GB edition is fitted with a newly designed twin fan cooler built on quad nickel plated heat pipes with an aluminum base. The new cooler delivers outstanding airflow with minimal noise levels for longer product life and a more enjoyable gaming experience. The card features the full range of GTX 600 series technologies including GPU Boost, Adaptive Vsync, PhysX, 3D Vision, and support for triple display Surround gaming with a 4th accessory display. All standard display types are supported including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, and VGA by way of an included adapter.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

4 out of 5 eggscrashes

Pros: quiet and fast. i get awesome frame rates with this card.
games run smooth and beautiful on my 39" 120 hz TV. for 250 this is the best card you can get.

Cons: i have to take an egg off because, with the default overclock games keep crashing and restarting my computer. i had to down clock it to keep stable.

Other Thoughts: i like this card. i think i am going to upgrade to a galaxy gtx 860 ti in two years or so.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card, mod friendly, great price

Pros: Great card no problems. price was awesome when I got mine and it came with a current game. Really happy at the price vs performance with this card. Too bad I haven't seen this card that cheap since.

Cons: not as cheap as the first one.

Other Thoughts: the asetek gpu bracket for the dual cpu/gpu closed loop cooler kit fits directly on this card. Should be the same as the asetek 740gf for those of you who want to cheaply water cool their cards. search gpu mod on ocn.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This is a great card, I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a fantastic GPU for a fair amount of cash. This card in particular runs really cool and quiet. I changed the fan setting through Afterburner and at full load with +50 on the core and +400 on the memory it has a temp of about 62 c, without the tweaking of the fan at stock it was at about 74 c which I thought was pretty high so I would suggest to do the same and modify the fan speed.

Cons: Well, the box it came in (not the galaxy box, but rather the newegg box) looked like someone dropped it from a high rise, one whole side was smashed in to the point I think UPS re-taped the box; Not neweggs fault though.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to get the core clock to +100 like I had seen on some reviews, but this is not the case. I could only get it to +50 regardless of how high I set the voltage. However, this was remedied by the fact I can crank the heck out of the Memory! I got it higher than +500, but decided I wanted my card to last a while so i took back down to +400, still impressive. I am getting performance is near a 670, but not quite there, probably due to me not being able to get to that +100 mark on the core frequency. Good deal though, and will probably get a second in the fall so I can keep up with the newer titles, who knows, maybe I will even get a 780!

4 out of 5 eggsMostly Good

Pros: High clockrate, good cooling, great price

Cons: Unstable OC out of the box. Had to underclock using MSI AfterBurner, or when it'll crash under heavy load (Farcry 3, MSI Kombuster, etc.)

Other Thoughts: Knocked off 1 egg for the instability. When burning with Furmark though it lasts >30 min without crash, so it isn't the heat. I believe with very mild over-volting the instability would go away and maintain default clocks. However, over-volting is so hotly debated that I just don't touch it.

1 out of 5 eggsGames keep crashing

Pros: Certain games that do not crash like NBA 2k13 work well and frame rates are high.

Cons: BF3 and Batman Arkham City keep crashing. I get the following error on my event log

Faulting application name: BatmanAC.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

I have upgraded and downgraded drivers and nothing works. I just opened an RMA and now stuck without a video card.

Other Thoughts: This card gets good reviews and that is why I purchased it. Wish it worked, it would have been a keeper.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Tons of outputs
- Card is fast, plenty of memory
- Stays surprisingly cool even when playing new games on fairly high settings
- Cooling solution is great and, as per above, is very effective
- Rock solid even with an overclocked FSB
- Card itself is absolutely beautiful
- Works very well in linux, too! Coming from an ATI/AMD card, NVIDIA's drivers are so much better it's unreal

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This really is a solid card. I upgraded from a crossfire setup, and this is way more efficient, faster, and more consistent.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast of a card!

Pros: Runs Crysis 2 on ultra w/tessellation and high-res texture pack beautifully! Maxes out all of my games except Metro 2033. Runs very cool, my highest temperature is 61/62 degrees celsius on a warm day, most of the time it's just 60. PHYSX!

Cons: No issues of any kind!

Other Thoughts: Bought this on Black Friday for under $200 after rebate! GTX 660Ti for the price of a 660 non-Ti! Running in a full tower with a Core i5 3570. Before this I had an MSi R5770 HAWK (the best 5770 you can buy) and I can tell you the 660Ti is about 3-5 times more powerful! Came with free ACIII! The most cost-effective GPU purchase I ever made!

2 out of 5 eggsPowerful, but buyer beware

Pros: Certainly a powerful card. Will run any game currently on the market, and gets reasonably FPS at high/ultra settings.

Cons: The card loves to crash my computer during games. Completely shuts the computer down and then reboots. It's happened in WoW, Chivalry, Saints Row the 3rd, and others. Not sure whether it's a power problem or heat problem. System sits at ~30 degrees, and the card itself rarely goes above 60 degrees celsius, and it's connected to a 750w PSU, so not sure what the issue is. Will probably RMA shortly unless a fix comes out. I do have to use the molex 8 pin connectors, so maybe that's a factor.

Other Thoughts: Sturdy made card, but the random crashes make it buyer beware.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not sure yet

Cons: Computer ran fine with a different card - installed this and have had issues ever since. One wire on the 4-pin Molex to 8-pin adapter supplied came out almost immediately, did get it back in, but notice that rather than 4 wires going to each Molex connection, 2 sets of 2 wires are tied together so only uses 3 pins of the Molex, 3 on one and 5 on the other. Finally got it to start up, but the computer was very irratic and kept re-booting - sometimes booting right up, sometimes taking up to a half hour to boot up. Caused the whole computer to run slow. I downloaded updated drivers and installed. Just in case the issue was power related, I shut the computer down until I could replace the 600 watt power supply with a 750 watt with the correct connections so I could get rid of the adapter. Finally got the thing to run, but since installing, the computer re-starts about every 30-45 minutes. At this point, I won't buy another one. Next step seem to be, can I return it?

Other Thoughts: If I could resolve the shutting the computer down issue, it might be a decent card.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Sun,

Sorry you're having difficulties getting your new card working properly. Have you already contacted our support team regarding this issue? Either way I'd be happy to help troubleshoot if you'll allow me the opportunity. Could you please email me directly at andrew@galaxytechus.com and include full details about your system specs and the problems you're experiencing? Specifically, I'd like to know what version of Windows you have, your mainboard model, what graphics drivers you're using, and any other details that might provide clues to the cause of the problem. What part of boot up is taking so long to complete; posting, loading Windows, etc.? Does the PC restart when playing games, browsing the web, or just sitting at the desktop? Are there any error logs in Windows' Event Viewer that say what caused the reboot?

Best,

Andrew Fischer
