Combining great value and performance, the Galaxy GTX 660 GC 2GB offers mainstream PC gamers access to the latest advances in GPU technology and unheard of levels of graphics power without breaking the bank. It's based on the NVIDIA's latest 28nm architecture and features 1072MHz Boost Clock - higher than the reference frequency of 1033MHz, delivering more graphics power for smoother, more responsive gameplay. The improved power handling and ultra-efficient cooling of Galaxy’s custom design deliver enhanced overclock potential and energy efficiency.

Similar to the Ti version, the foundation of the GTX 660 GC is a Galaxy custom PCB with significant design improvements, including an improved layout for more efficient signal path, high quality shielded inductors to maintain cleaner signal and eliminate coil whine, and thru-board ventilation to help keep power regulating components cool. The Galaxy Force Air bracket has been included as well to further facilitate the removal of heat from the system.

  • newegg Premium Cooling As is the tradition with Galaxy GC Edition graphics cards, the GTX 660 GC is equipped with a unique custom cooling solution. The cooler is designed with a highly effective dual fan system with aerodynamically and acoustically optimized blades that keep fan noise to an absolute minimum even at high speeds. Beneath the fans, a high surface area aluminum heat sink with triple heat pipes maintains very cool GPU temps even under extended run times with heavy workload.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Card So Far

Pros: -Plays Skyrim at 1080p with no problems, runs smoother than on console. That's the main reason I got this card.

-I will be doing some Adobe, Visual Studio, Unity, and other productivity/development tasks, and I expect it to handle most everything just fine. I'll report back if it doesn't.

Cons: -Price, maybe? This card was the priciest part of my $1,000-1,100 build. I can't complain much though, I got it for $220 and didn't take advantage of a $30 rebate, I figured I wouldn't see the rebate either way!

-I would've liked to see an HDMI cable packaged with it, but luckily I had a spare. No big deal, though the included DVI-VGA adapter looks pretty handy, if one has use for it.

Other Thoughts: -Bought this card mostly on a recommendation, I just wanted something mid-level that was capable and decently affordable.

-Skyrim on Ultra with ~20 texture/graphics mods and FPS is smoother than on 360. Almost unbelievable graphics. Almost...

-After much debate, I chose this over a comparable Asus model. I'm happy with the purchase! If you're looking at the 660 level, this card looks and works great!

5 out of 5 eggsworth it

Pros: Noise is noticeably reduced. It's very easy to "install," it feels more like arts and crafts. It's also thin enough that there aren't any issues with the foam interfering with my motherboard or cables.

Cons: Just make sure when applying it to side panels that you don't make the panel difficult to remove.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the money. Think about getting thicker foam if you have a spacious case.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Mid-High End Card

Pros: Runs most games (Battlefield 3, DiRT 3, Borderlands 2) on max settings, excluding the latest titles (Tombraider, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3) which run at high settings (not ultra). This is to be expected as this card is not on the highest tier of cards, which I really don't care about much as my main objective is to run games at good frame rates at 1080p res, regardless graphics quality.
I have also tested high res textures on some old games like GTA IV and Skyrim and they run at 40-60 fps.
Another pro is the low heat this card generates. In a room temperature room with a case with good air flow, this card does not exceed 65 degrees Celsius.

Cons: Only con I have found on this card is the price I payed for it when I bought it as it was $240 and a week later it was at $220.

Other Thoughts: PC Specs:
Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64 bit
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz stock
Graphics: Galaxy nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB OC
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB 1866MHz
Primary Storage: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 64GB SSD
Secondary Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Computer Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
Power Supply: LSP 650W Ultra Pro

5 out of 5 eggsBest Card at this price range

Pros: In every game I have tested, this card does a very good job at running them on almost max settings (excluding AA and a few shadows on a few heavy games). In Tombraider and Crysis 3, which have been the most intense graphics games at the moment, this game has performe very well for the price I payed for it. Although the settings can be put at max, the games wont run at a smooth framerate, for example in Tombraider you HAVE to disable the TressFX in order to get +20 fps and run it at about 60 constant fps. In Crysis 3, you use nVidia's Geforce Experience app and set Crysis 3 to optimal settings and it runs smoothly and the graphics look incredibly good. On other games like GTA IV with high res textures mod, you get about 40-50 fps, which is playable.
All of these benchmarks have been made with stock clock, I have not overclocked the card to see the performance increase, but the temperatures at stock clock on this card don't exceed 65 degrees at a room temperature on a well ventillated case.
In a near future I may get another one of these to SLI them as it out performs a GTX 680 and it still costs about $100 less.

Cons: Only cons I find is that I bought this card at $239.99 here at newegg, and a week later it's at this price, which with rebate goes down to $189.99. Other than that, there is not much that I can complain about of this card.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: Low Power Consumption,
Fix mATX case/mobo w/o issue

Cons: Haven't received my rebate yet

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card as part of a budget build. I can run BF3 on the ultra pre-set with this board, I expected "high" at best. I have had issues running Red Orchestra 2 but consider the it to be the fault of Tripwire (aka the king's of kludgy software. Right now I'm running of the DVI port but have tried the video and sound from the HDMI port: It works. I have had some issues on HDMI with the monitor going blank after exiting red orchestra 2. Again, hard to blame the galaxcy board. There could be a problem with the HDMI handshake, I'm not sure. The monitor is ASUS 21" IPS.

At any rate, I would build another system with this board w/o hesitation.

My config:

Intel i3-3220 CPU
Gigabyte B75 DH3 mobo
16 Gb of GSkill 1033 Mhz RAM
Antec 450-VP PSU
Fractal Define Mini case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mid-range card

Pros: The Galaxy GTX 660 GC is a good looking card. The two fans help the card stay cool, along with the open shroud that will allow the front and side fans on your case cool the card even further. Mine stays around 60 degrees Celsius while gaming and it has never hit 70 degrees when I stress-tested it with Furmark. I have unlocked my 660's BIOS (look up KGB - Kepler BIOS Editor/Unlocker) and my GPU clock is 1241 MHz at 1.2125v, and memory is clocked at 3402 MHz (6804 MHz effective). Performance is quite good for less demanding games such as vanilla Skyrim and Borderlands 2, easily attaining 60 FPS with everything maxed at 1920x1200. In games that require much more GPU power, like Crysis 3, I only get 30 FPS without AA, which is still playable at 1200x1200. Galaxy provides a three year warranty for their 660, though I expect the card to outlast the warranty.

Cons: In my case (Rosewill Line-M), the fans are louder than my Cougar Vortex 120mm intake fan at 55%, so I have my fan curve set to stay at 50% until the GPU hits 70 degrees. You do not automatically get the three year warranty; Galaxy requires you to register your card before they will grant the extended warranty.

Other Thoughts: If you want to unlock your card's BIOS with the KGB - Kepler BIOS Editor/Unlocker, do some research before attempting this, as you can easily brick your 660. I do not know if Galaxy will accept an RMA for a BIOS-modded card, so just assume your warranty is void if you decide to mod it.

5 out of 5 eggsThis card is the sweet spot right now

Pros: It runs very cool, and much quieter than I thought it would. It runs anything I've been able to throw at it. Skyrim on ultra with huge texture mods and lighting mods; 60 fps easy. The witcher 2 on max settings with no complaints.

Cons: None really. I'm trying to think of one but I can't....yeah, nothing comes to mind.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried BF3 with it, so no info there. NVidia seems really helpful, the control panel is great and they have a GeForce experience to help you manage your settings. Honestly, my 4 GHz OC'd CPU is now what limits me, not this gpu, it's great.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: very good card i ordered 2 of them and SLI they play just about anything BF3 on ultra dosent even make these things try lol

Cons: the one thing that sucks about this card is the fact that you cant use smart cooling with them Ive tried the galaxy tuner and MSI after burner on these and neither of them will set the fans to speed up as they get hotter

Other Thoughts: cant dock eggs any they did what they were meant to do, just a bit disappointing that i have to set my fan speed higher manually and cant change it without having to reset it
