The Galaxy 66NPH7DN7DXZ graphics card comes with GeForce GTX 660 GPU with 960 CUDA cores, a base clock of 980MHz, and a boost clock of 1033MHz. 2GB memory ensures smooth graphics processing. The breakthrough NVIDIA GPU Boost technology pushes the performance to the limit by intelligently increasing clock speed based on actual work load. An array of NVIDIA exclusive technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync for stuttering- and tearing-free gaming, NVIDIA Surround with up to four monitors, two new Anti-aliasing modes of FXAA and TXAA, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready, and NVIDIA PhysX Technology works in concert to ensure you get the most immersive and impressive gaming experience.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing price

Pros: Got this card for a great price ($160) for a friend with only 1 PCI-E connector building a budget box. Not as powerful as my GTX 580 Classified but for the price this thing ran Skyrim (almost maxed) at 60+ fps. Card runs cool, total power of the whole system is just under 200W at full load, < 100W idle! Friend is loving his system

Cons: Galaxy tuning software is worthless, but my friend doesn't know enough to overclock anyways.

Other Thoughts: i7 3770K 400W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: Very fluid game play with every game I've tried on ultra settings.
DVI and HDMI output
SLI Ready
GTX series
Great Price
Free Game

Cons: Discontinued
Some driver incompatibility with certain games (Far Cry 3) being a big one, but still playable.

Other Thoughts: Card is discontinued, wish they would bring it back as SLI requires two identical cards, and I only purchased one. Love this card!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for 1920x1080

Pros: Price. This card trade blows with the 7870 at a lower pricepoint. If you aren't running a multi-monitor setup and run 1920x1080 or lower, this card is enough to drive about any game out there at max settings. Galaxy offers a 3 year warranty and has great community support.

Cons: I wouldn't mind an aftermarket cooler, but the the 660 doesn't run hot anyways. My system isn't silent but noise is a big factor when I purchase parts. All of my fans are <20db and the smallest fan is 120mm to keep the noise down. Even with the stock cooler, its not the loudest thing in my case.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid midrange card

Pros: Small footprint
Lower noise and runs cool
Price (got it on sale for $165 AR)
Multiple outputs
Vents out of case, great for HTPC

Cons: Pretty poor overclocking ability

Other Thoughts: Purchased this to replace a HD7850 that was giving me issues with my HTPC causing audio to disappear over HDMI despite driver choice. So far with the GTX660, the issue is resolved. Card offers similar performance to my 2GB HD7850, slightly better in some scenario's. Card runs quiet with low power consumption. Does not overclock well on the core, but the memory clocks decently, which happens from time to time as overclocking is sometimes a gamble. Max stable with games that actually use 100% of the gpu is +90 core and +370 memory. Making speeds 1050/6740 with boost of 1135mhz. Using a slightly more aggressive fan profile, temps do not exceed 65C while still being relatively quiet. Recommend the card if you need a rear venting design. Custom Cooler cards from Asus or MSI likely will offer more overclocking headroom, but for a premium.

4 out of 5 eggsValue Card

Pros: Scored 6700 on 3DMark11 under the "Performance" setting

Temps stayed below 70 during stress tests

Reference fan is not that loud, my case fans probably generate more noise (they're pretty quiet)

Cons: Galaxy did not ship the card with the plastic end protectors for the PCIe or SLI plugs (what does it cost them, 1-2 cents?). I can see some cards suffering shipping damage to the gold plated connections as a result. However, I personally did not notice any problems with mine.

Other Thoughts: I had an issue with a black screen on windows 8 after bootup and an initial installation of the drivers from Nvidia (3.10). After a few hours of digging, I finally found out that Windows 8 will automatically install an older driver (3.4) at the same time. This creates two binaries that will crash the card upon bootup.

DO NOT RMA your card, it's probably fine.

Here's the fix if you haven't installed the card yet:
1. Download the Nvidia drivers (do not install yet)
2. Disconnect your PC from the internet and shut it down
3. Disconnect power, install the card, and boot up
4. Install the drivers without internet
5. Reboot the system and re-enable internet (at this point, windows will recognize the driver and won't attempt to automatically install it)

If you are already experiencing the black screen problem:
1. Boot into safe mode with networking (Shift+F8 during startup)
2. Download the nvidia drivers
3. Install driver fusion and use it to remove all previous nvidia drivers (freeware version works fine)
4. Disconnect from the internet and reboot your computer (it should boot up in low res at this point, avoiding the black screen)
5. Install the nvidia drivers
6. Reboot and re-enable internet

Hope that helps! I spent hours today figuring out what was wrong. If the above steps don't work, you might want to consider an RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsThis videocard is a GEM

Pros: Just a wonderful out of the box experience. From the way it is packaged to the included accessories.
Last but not least the performance of this card blew me away.Got this card, which performs like a hd7865 or nvidia 575gx thats how it slots,
anyway got it on one of neweggs famous 5 minute or sold out blockbuster sale.
The biggest pro is one that i didnt even bother to notice till i was installing it in my case. The fan is at the end of the card now i am able to use a wireless pci card and not block the 660s airflow. Finally a nice easter egg from a manufacturer.

Cons: Galaxys rebate process is cumbersome, but registering this card is a royal pain it must to took me 15 mins easy.
It is such a pain that i wonder if it is so hard and so much trouble to register for the warranty on purpose.3 year warranty not bad but i imagine a good percentage of customers will give up trying to sign up for the warranty.Seriously it is that bad to register for warranty.

Other Thoughts: Nvida powerhouse GX660 blew away my HD7850 & HD6950 as far as framerates in games. The V-sync feature means no more slight studdering in games or videos that ive noticed way to many times with high end ati/amd cards.I will not be going back to the flaky shaky red team ,from now on if i have to pay a few bucks more for nvidia it is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsGtx 660

Pros: -Great Card
-Plays well on 1080p with everything max at around 40-60 FPS depending which game your playing.
-Size of card is about 9 inches
-Same perfomance level as the stock HD 7870

Cons: -Does not overclock well, since Nvidia decided to add a power limiter on the card.

Other Thoughts: Overall great card, temps are at 30C idle and 73C max, out performs my previous card the HD 4870.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card good price

Pros: Solid card, well reviewed, great price for a 660. Runs GW2 at 1920x1080 with all the perks at 60 fps, haven't tested other games yet. Nice upgrade from an old radeon 4870.

Cons: I missed that the second DVI connector is a DVI-I, not DVI-D - this is the narrower ground tab with no surrounding pins. The included adapter is DVI-D only (with the 4 pins and the wider tab). My second monitor is VGA and DVI, and I didn't have any other DVI-I cables laying around. Luckily I had a spare HDMI cable, and two HDMI to DVI adapters. I know, cool story.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Kepler architecture is really strong. Card is pretty much silent and runs everything I play at 60+ fps. Price is also good for a GTX 660. This is the first Galaxy product I have ever purchased, and it has given me absolutely no problems.

Cons: Be aware of the length of the card before purchase. It may not fit in some smaller cases.

Other Thoughts: Skyrim on ultra settings with hi-res pack and many more mods running at a steady 60FPS. That's what I bought it for and it does not disappoint. Running with the latest beta drivers (310.67 I think) with no issues at all.
