  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.

1 out of 5 eggsReasonable card -- with a fatal design flaw

Pros: This GeForce GTX650Ti is a good mid-level card for pretty much all office applications and most games except perhaps the most recent and demanding ones.

This card performed well for me until it burned up (see cons)

Cons: After about four months of operation (in a Linux machine, 24/7, but most of the time idle), the computer shut down. I restarted it, suspecting the power supply and saw how something on the card burned up with a bright white flash -- easy to see through the mesh of a high-airflow case.

Upon closer examination, the component that failed was a low-ESR, 10 microfarad ceramic chip capacitor (not even one of the notorious electrolytics). Another restart attempt, and the next capacitor went in sparkling glory. The capacitors are part of the PCI-e power supply, and those capacitors should not even get hot, let alone burn. A serious design flaw on Galaxy's side.

Unfortunately, this happened after the no-hassle Newegg RMA period ended, and I had to go through Galaxy for RMA. Unfortunately too, Galaxy specifically excludes burnt components, as can be seen on's web site under RMA policies.

It would appear as if Galaxy took a cheap way out of honoring their warranty obligations, because this is clearly a product failure under normal operating conditions. Due to these policies, I essentially wrote off the card, but this will be my last Galaxy product for the foreseeable future.

Other Thoughts: Having decided to forfeit the warranty, I examined the questionable card further. I replaced the chip capacitors by equivalent ones, but with a higher voltage rating (and even lower ESR), but found that these, too, became unacceptably hot. Interestingly, the card works overall, despite the dramatic component failure. With suitable capacitors, it may even be salvageable. However, it is a marvel of poor design that ceramic capacitors fail due to overheating under otherwise normal conditions. Shame on the designers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: - 2GB RAM
- Boost Edition
- Was on Shell Shocker

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: Got this on a Shell Shocker to replace my Radeon 7750, and I never regretted that purchase. The 650 Ti is in my opinion the bets bang for buck midrange NVIDIA GPU for high settings gaming at 1080p while staying under $200. Even though there are Radeon cards for the same price that may be more powerful, this is my choice if I had to go with NVIDIA.

Pros: -Fan isn't very loud, even under heavy load
-Overclocked performance is amazing!
-7.9 in windows experience index

-(None other so far)

Other Thoughts: This card is great for PC gamers on a budget. Especially at the price I payed($120)!

-Games I have tested out so far include
-Battlefield 4:Ultra settings:2 msaa
-Battlefield 3:Ultra settings
-Borderlands 2:Max settings
-Chivalry Medieval Warfare:Max settings
-Ace of Spades:Max settings
-Minecraft:Max settings
-Blackops II:Max settings

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: Great card, looks cool, stays cool. It was a simple install and 3 year warranty is a nice feature. I purchased it on sale for $114 with shipping so it was a great deal. It works well in conjunction with an AMD processor. As for games, my entire Steam library including skyrim and Payday 2 can be run at 1920x1080 with all graphical settings maxed out. I can play League of Legends on medium settings with around 80-200 fps. That game fluctuates a lot. Bad Company 2 is a sinch, as is Battlefield 3. World of Warplanes does great if you fly high, around 120fps on high settings. I would go medium to ensure consistent performance. Same thing for World of Tanks.

Cons: Driver CD included did not work with the card. Had to download from Nvidia website.

Other Thoughts: AMD 6350 3.9 GHz 6 core
8 GB DDR3 2133MHz
Galaxy GTX 650 ti boost 2gb GDDR5
1TB 7200 rpm sata 6
MSI 970 g43 motherboard
ihas DVD multi recorder ROM drive
Corsair 750w PSU
24" monitor
Rosewill Thor v2 case

My first desktop build, bought everything from Newegg except the monitor and after rebates it was only $602.

5 out of 5 eggsEats high/ultra settings for breakfast

Pros: I recently had a geforce 9800 gt akimbo OC but todays games were starting to bog it down even being OC so I picked this little bad boy up. I got it on the shell shocker deal for $119 shipping was flawless and arrived in three days (on 4-7 day shipping) all I can say is for the price it's a mean card. I run skyrim with HD mod at ultra settings without a problem runs assassin's creed 4 at max with an average frame rate of 55fps. I recommend this card for anyone who is looking for a nice card at a nice price. The stock cooler does the job and is quiet I'm very picky when it comes to temps in my PC and I'm very happy with the temps 23c idle 45c under load.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsreally like it

Pros: Quiet
Easy to install
Smaller than my old card.
Looks good to me

Cons: none so far, but today is the first day

Other Thoughts: I already had Nvidia geforce experience installed so I never had to use the cd and it found the update for me. Took no more than a half hour to install. It took longer to unplug everything, open the case and clean it out than to install! I don't play any really graphic intense games but this was a big improvement over my old 9800 gtx+ . WEI really doesn't mean too much but went from 6.9 to 7.9 in graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Fast! Reeeealy fast!
Installation was easy and took less than 3 minutes.
Runs easily on a 400w PSU.
Includes Molex-to-PCIe cable.

Cons: Driver CD didn't work and did not recognize the GPU. This was only a minor issue, as installing the latest drivers from Nvidia's website (which work) wasn't a problem.
Only barely fit in a Micro-ATX case, I had to move some cables out of the way. Once again, only a minor problem.

Other Thoughts: Maxes Crysis 2 with ease. Could probably do more, but Crysis 2 is the most graphically intensive game I have.

5 out of 5 eggsGood power for the price

Pros: I was able to grab this as a shell shocker deal, which added a lot of value to the card. It is basically a GTX 660 with a little less added. Runs my games beautifully on high settings at 1080p. (I'm not into multiplayer, FPS games, so I can't speak to it holding up during those)

I was previously running a GT 630 2GB which came in the box—which struggled to even handle the characters in Saints Row 4.

Getting the extended warranty set up and approved took less than 10 minutes, and now I have 3 years of protection—much better than other experiences I have had.

There are all kinds of comparisons between this card and the HD 7870 (the card in the PS4) and being able to say I have a comparable card to the current-gen consoles is definitely nice.

Although I am not currently using it in SLI, I am considering it in the future. Maybe in a year or so when the price is lower, because two of these cards in conjunction makes for a really nice rig.

My package shipped over a weekend with the Egg-Saver option, got it in 3 day—well done all parties involved.

Cons: Not the most powerful GPUs, but unbeatable for the price I got it at.

Other Thoughts: ASUS H77
i7 3770 3.4 GHz
16 GB DDR3 1600
2 TB hard drive
**Now GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2 GB

5 out of 5 eggsPhenominal

Pros: This card... For the money this is card is drop dead phenominal. I've been testing all different cards for my new build, and this by far was the best. I have it paired with AMD FX6300 6-core with 8gb dc 1600 ram setup, and I scored a 7.9 in windows test. Also I ran FFXIV benchmark(I've found this is the best way to test cards) with maximum settings on 1600x900, and it scored almost perfect. If you want a great card without spending an arm and a leg. Definitely pick one of these up.

Cons: None that I can see so far.

Other Thoughts: Really, I was not expecting this card to be so nice. I was hoping to go right around the middle of the road at this price point, and after checking the specs it almost sounded too good to be true, but I assure you it's not. This really blew my mind, and I'm so glad I made the purchase.
