1 out of 5 eggsNot Good

Pros: None

Cons: I was sent a broken one...I used it for almost a year and it continually crashed and didn't produce what I was expecting. It was a pain to put in. Do not buy this. It isn't worth the money or hassle of returning.

3 out of 5 eggsComputer locking up

Pros: The works fine if you do not play high graphic games.

Cons: If the computer freezes or locks up while playing a game, this means your video card is overheating. That will be true for 99% of these problems. ...so stop return the card and buy a fan!

Other Thoughts: You can buy this from NewEgg.

I just used a spared 40mm fan and used double-sided foam tape and stuck it right on the heatsink.

No video card should be without a fan if you are playing high graphic games, unless you got a really good cooling system.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good card, seems very stable. Runs very cool.

Cons: A little large and oddly oriented so that it takes up more space than I'd like

1 out of 5 eggsAlbatron 6600

Pros: Works ok for desktop windows apps

Cons: Gamse running today like STEAM SORUCE (day of defeat source) or other hight end games this sucker will crash to desk top. Albtron Service is poor. I have RMA my card 2 times. I have not had a working card for 4 monts now. Nov 2005 I got my card and I was just tole I should have it back in 3 to 7 days. I hope it works this time. I will never buy this brand again!

Other Thoughts: I have found the AxxS version of this card works like a charm. The price is higher but I guess you get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsLater On..

Pros: It was good while it lasted.

Cons: Doesn't stand up to todays games (ie Fear, City of Villains). Not to say you can't play them, but certainly nowhere near max.

Other Thoughts: After reading some of the problems other reviewers have listed, I think maybe the reason my card lasted as long as it did was I put a Zalmann full copper cooling unit on mine. That and the occasional wipe down, and reapplication of some Arctic Silver, this card at most was only hitting the 52 degree mark.

Oh yeah.. buy a 7800 gt. *grin*

2 out of 5 eggsProblems

Pros: I have the 128mb version of this car and it worked well in day to day use.

Cons: The fan started flipping out and making an aweful noise 6 months after normal use. Contacted Albatron two months ago, and got no response. After numerous emails I sent, I got an RMA form. I will never buy from Albatron again.

Other Thoughts: Next video card I purchase will be from someone more mainstream

2 out of 5 eggsBad Card

Comments: This card locked up on game that ran fine on my laptop's 64 mb intel
video card. May of just been a bad card though (the game was Homeworld 2).

5 out of 5 eggsQuake 4 Approved

Comments: I have the 128mb version of this card, which Newegg is no longer carrying. I just wanted to let prospective buyers know that this card can and will play Quake 4 at medium quality unbelievably smooth, and that's with a lowly Sempron 2800+ backing it up and 1GB Cxxxxxr valueselect. For the price this is a great card. I mean sure you could get the 6600GT and maybe be able to play on High rather than Medium, but the frame rates won't be much different. I'm glad I saved the 50 bucks getting the non-GT.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not like ut2004

Comments: I have been through 2 of these now that I got the RMA back. Tried all nvidia drivers (release and beta) for both main board and vid card. Ut2004 (3355 patch/ece b-pack) locks randomly. Will NEVER buy or reccomend this card again... EVER!
Ran it in:
Abit NV8
2gb OCZ RAM (high perf)
