Pros: This card (after a bit of physical trimming) works very well in my Dell OptiPlex 760 Desktop with E8600/3.33GHz and 8Gb RAM. My son can now run stuff like Supreme Commander without any system issues at all. Runs like his Xbox! The card does run hot when loaded but the fan works well and is quiet under normal load (has not sped up during games, is sometimes loud for a short time when the system is booted up). The air flow through the OptiPlex enclosure is excellent so I am not concerned. I had to add a Booster X5 PSU externally to power the 12v needs of the card as the desktop only has the 255w PSU. All works great, four cooling fans in all, a little louder than my Samsung blu-ray player but not enough to disturb my use of iTunes.

Cons: The card is longer than the low profile standard to acommodate the power circuitry. The heat sink on the power side takes up more headroom than really needed. To fit the card in the Optiplex 760 Desktop I had to trim the heatsink a bit.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card, has given me fantastic graphics capability in a low profile system for my home entertainment center.

Pros: Great low profile card....added much needed power to my light duty gaming rig. Now i do the the smack downs and not get pawned.........

Cons: Does generate some heat....

Other Thoughts: Fit nicely in my dell 530s. I upgraded the power supply to a corsair 400 for 29.99. And yes i mounted the PSU to the outside of the case. Ran the cables thru the old psu location. works perfectly......

Pros: Its perfect for a slimline case if the length is not an issue which it was not for me.

I was able to close my case no problem unlike some other so called low-profile cards where i had problems closing my case in the back b/c apparently there is low profile then there is the DELL LOW-PROFILE!

For those that got a slimline dell tower this card is perfect fit.

I had a aftermarket Power supply 500w already so having enough juice was not a issue for me.

It boosted my windows 3d testing from a 4.0 to a 5.2.

I up-raged to this card from a 9400 GT low-profile and like i said i could not get my case closed in back which is not good for a lot of reasons mostly for air-flow and cleanliness with a dog in house i did not have option of just leaving my case open. That would get really pricey in duster!

The fan is not to loud for me at 80% If you want a big bang for a low profile THIS IS IT!

Cons: This card is a beast compared to anything iv tried in my slimline tower. That being said IT WILL RUN VERY HOTT!!!

When i first installed it i did not have good airflow in my case and it idled at around 60c and in game full throttle it was hitting 80-85c which is TOO HOTT for my comfort not necessarily for the cards sake but for my other hardware near the card.

I upgraded my intake fan to something more powerful which is easy and a new exhaust which was easy after i pulled out my original power supply then i also added a internal clip fan blowing across the bottom side of the card towards the new exhaust fan I rigged on the outside of case where the old power supply was. I now idle at 50c and in-game pushing it hard i was hitting 68-73. (I also removed my modem which i didn't use to open up some flow)

SOOO with some minor adjustments for airflow I am comfortable with its number heat-wise.

Other Thoughts: For the price and for my situation with my slimline this card could not be beat. Sure its HOTT but almost all 9800's are so i hear and if you got good airflow you wont have a problem.

The drivers from disc went fine but trying to update through the site they recommended did not work for me I think that might be b/c of my OS and not on their end but i cant really say i just sticking with the drivers i got from disc I'm getting the performance i want out of it and i use NV-TUNER to monitor it adjust it i have not Overclocked it at all out of fear of heating it up even more and like i said i like the performance I'm getting already so no need.

NEW EGG ROCKS I am fairly new to this site and iv ordered allot in the past few weeks and even had to cancel a order like few hours after i ordered b/c i found something better and it went off with out a hitch new egg deserves a 6th star imo absolutely great service and made everything very easy for a first time buyer!
