2 out of 5 eggsVideo card is good but no sound through HDMI out.

Pros: Low profile. Comes with heat sink fan makes sound but won't call it noisy. Good Resolution. Windows Aero rating goes 5.9.

Cons: Could not get audio through HDMI. Tried number of times. Even talked to the Sparkle tech support. Connected the S/PDIF internal cable the way they told. Still no sound. This is a deal breaker for me as my home theater does not get a digital sound input now from TV.

S/PDIF connectors are itself very loose and come out of the header easily.

Make my audio work and its gets 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well in XP

Pros: Works perfect in Windows XP hooked up to a 52 inch TV via HDMI! It is detected as a 7600GT... I'm not complaining about that! ;) CHEAP! Perfect for the HTPC.

Cons: Didn't work with Linux Mint out of the box. Not sure what the issue was

Other Thoughts: Haven't put any effort into it but I'm still working on getting audio through HDMI

2 out of 5 eggsNon-productive

Pros: Surprisingly, this card does support native wide screen format for the new 16:9 wide screen monitors - an undocumented feature!

Cons: The one I received is defective.

Incompatible with Gigabyte GA-MA78Gm-US2H mobo. Re-tested mobo with a ASUS EAH3450 graphic card, everything becomes normal again.

Only the hdmi port can display POST msgs at bootup using the interface cable, the DVI port skips POST msgs!

Still displays "Engineering version, not for Production use" msg at bootup!

Buggy firmware!

Other Thoughts: Could be a nice card if only the manufacturer has tested it more thoroughly.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent but

Pros: Price

Cons: As previous reviewer mentioned - there is no s-video output on the card, but the specifications say there should be.

Other Thoughts: I'm running this on Ubuntu 8.10, it's been a day, we'll see.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Card, hard to setup

Pros: DDR3, Good quality heatsink and fan, HDMI Port.
Vista Aero Rating: 5.9
Vista Gaming Rating: 4.9
thease are ratings for a non-overclocked card

Cons: Not on the manufactures website, specs on the memory aren't list on the packageing or website, HDMI audio doesn't appear after the card is installed, HDMI audio doesn't work in movies either.

Other Thoughts: Memory rating I got from ntune is 1400 Mhz; core clock is 350 Mhz.
system specs
Celeron dual core e1400
Asus P5KPL AM/PS mainboard
2GB PC6400 and Vista Ultimate

currently working with sparkles tech support to figure out what is wrong with the card.

3 out of 5 eggsHaven't Plugged it in yet...but...

Pros: Great price for such a loaded card.

Cons: It's advertised as PCIe 16x 2.0...but, I'm thinking it's not. It doesn't say it is on any of the specs on the box. Manufacturer's page doesn't have the 7300 to verify. Plus, it's Newegg labeled it with a S-Video out, but it doesn't have any, just the HDMI and DVI. The pictures when I bought it had that too, but...now the pictures are gone. Go figure.

Other Thoughts: It should do the trick. No biggy.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, cheap card.

Pros: Cheap, works well, G70 graphics chip.
Searched for a 7000 series card for good 2d acceleration in Linux. 8000/9000 series currently have 2d issues like slow scrolling and tab swiching in Firefox. Reverted to this card from an 8600GT, performs much better for 2D. Not really using the 3D, but at least it's decent if I need it. Linux detects the card as a 7600GT, which is nice.

Cons: 1. It's adverstised as a PCI Express 2.0 x16 card, but I don't believe it is. It seems to have the G70 chipset, which AFAIK is only PCI Express 1.0 x16. Not a huge deal.
2. When using the HDMI to DVI dongle, I noticed you can't connect a DVI to DSUB adapter onto the dongle, doesn't fit with the 3 I had lying around.
3. One last observation, using two of these in a triple head config makes a greater than 4096 pixel wide desktop. Once you open an opengl window past 4096 pixels wide, it gets very inefficient (software rendering?). The 8000/9000 series has their issues in linux, but at least I could go > 4096 pixels wide with HW rendering, not that I really need total triple screen opengl...

Other Thoughts: One HDMI, one DVI. Comes with an HDMI to DVI adapter giving two DVI ports though. The Digital Audio passthrough is a nice touch.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for normal user(s)

Pros: I had a 7300GT, ran most games 2yrs old or older no problems. Now that this particular card has DDR3 video memory it should be good for about any type of light- medium duty work. Also note that this card is 2.0 x16 SLI suported unheard of for a 7 series VGA. Most of your 7 series VGAs are DDR2 or less and mostly, Express x16 slot compatible. Whatching Movies, Playing Games, Editing.... sure to do it all. Its a strong little VGA

Cons: Most folks dont look back at the low end cards unless their on a budget or just building a cheap rig. This card will go unreconized by the Highend Enthusiest which will be a good thing for the budget builders. This card is not DirectX10,

Other Thoughts: No I dont have this particular card but specs are very simular to the one I do have. PNY 7300GT 256mb/128bit, Throw in free shipping and you got yourself a deal. If your looking for a good cheap gaming VGA a little better than this and not that bad of a price difference, go with an 8500GT,
