1 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck (down it goes)

Pros: doesn't cost very much. low-profile.

Cons: doesn't allow for dual-screen setup(or triple screen setup in my case). Debian(linux)'s driver reports 51c just on having one screen running(barely). Screen horizontally flickers and a low amount of static arrives a little later.

Other Thoughts: i'm going to RMA this since i can't really use it for a bare minimum. HA. i though i was going to do 1080p through DXVA. XD
my screen is only 1920x1080. it may be the adapter that's doing the flickering and such but i can't tell since the HDMI straight to my other monitor won't run and i don't really have the time. first buy from "SPARKLE" and my last.

4 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: Works fine straight from the box. Can't run HDMI and DVI at the same time (DOH!)

Cons: Can't get HDMI to work, but have not tried very hard.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. It works just fine, but I will probably spend a little more and get a better model on the next go around

5 out of 5 eggsdoes what it needs to!

Pros: I just put this in an old PC to get areo support and speed up rendering for Adobe movie products... this works very well for said applications. Low profile and low heat, low power... exactly what a pre built machine like older DELLs need!

Cons: I wish the VGA connector was a bit more sturdy... it seems loose in the socket, I dont like that.

Other Thoughts: I'm the IT specialist for the office and I used this to 'upgrade' our P4 computers so they could run Adobe products and some Autodesk applications a bit smoother. It worked!

Pros: Good card for the price, works well for its age. I recommend it if you're on a budget.

Cons: Gets a tad hot under heavy load.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of junk

Pros: It worked well for a little while.

Cons: Doesn't even last a month.

Other Thoughts: Bought it on 6/17/2009, didn't start using it until about a month later, put it in a Dell GX620 small form factor, worked OK at first, then suddenly the the screen would go all pixelated with random blocks, rebooted, worked again for a day, then it happened again, even the BIOS screen is all blocky and the OS selection screen in XP, the words had weird characters in them. I removed the card and went back to the onboard Intel video, pc is fine again. Don't waste your money on this.

2 out of 5 eggsBad experience

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Performs worse than the 8500GT. Purchased this as an upgrade to my existing 8500GT for a HTPC. When playing BluRay movies a constant poping noise is heard in the sound using the older 8500GT no issues. Also, fast movements in videos are sluggish.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a HTPC system, considering that is what Nivida is claiming the 9400GT is designed for. Spend a little extra and get a better card.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low profile face plates included

Cons: Runs hot, had to return to newegg becuase it was overheating non stop. Does not export audio through the HDMI port like other traditional HDMI out connections.

Other Thoughts: Rather spend another $15 for a much better quality of card

2 out of 5 eggsDo your research

Pros: Was on sale...

Cons: Didn't do my research before buying.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to do your research, I didn't now I'm buying a different card to replace this - it actually scores lower in Vista windows graphics (4.8) than my 7800gt did (5.2).

1 out of 5 eggsOverheating Junk

Pros: Absolutely zero

Cons: Overheats without even running anything. I was setting this up on a Linux box and after running for about 30 minutes just setting on the desktop it kept losing video. Checked the card and its scorching hot.

Other Thoughts: Dont waste your money spend a 5 bucks more and get a good name brand like Asus.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth it

Pros: CHEAP! Considering the chipset, i am willing to take the chance. No reviews yet when i bought this. I bought 8 of this for the company that i work for. We don't need to have coffee breaks anymore while waiting for Autodesk Revit 2009 to open the files. To us, that is a big improvement. I like it so much i'm buying an additional 2.

Cons: Wish it had dual DVI, you can always use a VGA adaptor to connect VGA but at least the signal are both digital to begin with. No VGA-DVI adaptor included. In low-profile mode, the VGA connector is very short especially if installed in a BTX board (Dell Vostro Slim), i can't install the VGA low profile bracket.

Other Thoughts: Before we bought this,we tried upgrading our RAM from 1 or 2GB to 3GB + Intel GMA built-in video to see whether it is enough to run Autodesk Revit 2009, we could take a nap while waiting for the file to be opened.

Haven't tried HDMI.
