1 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: when it worked it was great.

Cons: After 14 months of using the card it started dying. Boot ups resulted in picture distortion and lock ups with this card in my system. Upon receiving rma sent out card for replacement they received it and shipped a remanufactured GTX580 as a replacement.

Other Thoughts: dont count on getting equipment replaced by these guys if the product fails.

Other Thoughts: The GTX580 states it only has a 90 day warranty so I guess I lost the other year and half still left on the GTX470 warranty. The GTX580 has developed problems after 2 months and I had to disable it today. The GTX580 came with on manual, no driver or any thing else

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price , the card received was the version on the sparkle website and different from the image newegg gave (prettier design).

Cons: Arrived in a damaged box which folded the metal holder. Once straightened, it fit in the box. Installed good but after using it, there was artefact problem, black screen problems while in game which causes rebootings of the computer or returns on the desktop. These last time (about 4 times later) lag is appearing in games (at the image level). Checked to see it if was comming from other components but even after changing them, the problem continued.

Other Thoughts: If the card would work correctly, i wouldn't regret buying it. When it works, it works fine, but after about 15 minutes it can just go to hell, closing the computer.

5 out of 5 eggsNifty

Pros: Performance, price, lifetime warranty. It definitely is much better than 5770 card that I replaced.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure you download the latest drivers from geforce or nvidia. also the tools provided by the geforce or nvidia are helpful to track and improve card performance. also be sure to remove all of your old video drivers using the uninstall program and 3rd party video card driver remover. Having old video card drivers can affect the card performance to include having windows fail to load.

3 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: see other review. no real pros. 3 eggs just because i got a 480 as a replacement for broken 470

Cons: bad customer service actually gave me the wrong address to send rma, this is just sad.

Other Thoughts: they have since sent me a replacement gtx480 for the broken gtx470 which i was very happy to receive until i looked at it the pci bracket was bent all up and the power connector is chipped in a place that makes power cable loose. i dont care about these problems the replacement works and if it fails im not dealing with these people again ill just cut my loses and get something else. took me 60 days to get replacement since the wrong address fiasco.

3 out of 5 eggsW A R N I N G S L I users!

Pros: Does as good a job as one would expect for a card in its class. Nothing to make it less than average, and nothing to make it better than average. Heat is accetable, FPS is average, power requirement is

Cons: The cards shipping now do not look like what is pictured on NewEgg. This is not a problem, what is, is the new deisgn (received 31 days ago - waiting for a 3-way SLI MB) uses heat tubes for cooling that protrudes above the cards SLI connector making these cards unuseable for those who have SLI bridges (which most do) a rigid connector for connecting one card to another (supplied by motherboard manufacturer). I was attempting to use three of these for 3-Way SLI. I bought my first card about 8 months ago with a correctly designed package for use with SLI bridges. The new design that I received yesterday (3/2/2011), PREVENTS you from doing SLI without the seperate purchase of a flexbile connector to allow the connectors to connect while going over the heat tubes. I have not found any flexible 3-Way SLI connectors as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes redesign is not better than what you started with. Even though I have no way of checking heat production with the new design of protruding heat tubes vs. origonal sqaured off packaging, I would have preferred being able to do 3-WAY SLI despite the heat if the new design lowers GPU temperature.

1 out of 5 eggsbad customer service

Pros: when it worked it was great considering i got it in a nice combo with the power supply.

Cons: after 4 months of using the card it started dying. 7 out of 10 boot ups resulted in artifacting and lock ups with this card in my system. upon receiving rma sent out card for replacement they received it and after 10 days of them having the card they refused to accept it even though i followed all the rma instructions.

Other Thoughts: dont count on getting equipment replaced by these guys if the product fails.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasant Surprise

Pros: Great, hoping I would get the non-reference card. Got this in Sparkle in SLI with a MSI reference GTX470. The Sparkle is the Primary/master. In SLI its not uncommon for the master to run at a greater tempreture than the secondary/slave. This card runs 4c cooler at idle, and is 6c cooler than the MSI card after gaming a while. Using MSI Afterburner to run the fans for both cards.

Cons: I bought this on price...took me a while to decide...I was concerned about tempreture. If NewEgg had this card they sent me pictured instead of the reference card they are currently using, I would have bought it a lot sooner. Card I got is pictured on the Sparkle Taiwan site.

Other Thoughts: I own a ATI 5870...and was doing a run off with the MSI GTX470 to see which one ran better. The ATI 5870 is basically...JUNK. Though I paid $389 when it first came out, I will be relagating it to HTPC service shortly. The 5870 is not my idea of a gamer. Reference card is sturdy cause it has a full plastic case...but it traps in the heat. With this Sparkle, though it's flimsey, allows the heat to escape. Heat destroys.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card - *BUT* not as pictured

Pros: Works well and has excellent performance

Cons: Not as pictured at all. Heat pipes feel solid, but the entire plastic fan assembly is flimsy and exposed.

Other Thoughts: I skipped reading the reviews this time..., and probably will stick with another brand in the future. However, it does perform as well as others.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Cool, silent for the most part. overclocked 10% no problem.
runs anything i throw at it and more then acceptable frame rates. Also smaller then a 465.

Cons: Pricey - 5870 is available in the same price range.

Other Thoughts: Sparkle seems to make a solid product.
