3 out of 5 eggsNice upgrade

Pros: I upgraded from a ati rage pro 128 to this. I can play youtube videos with no problem and simple video games made for the pc and snes emulator games fine, the web browser is fast with this video card. I'm uisng a dell 4550 with a pentium 4 at 2.4Ghz, with 1024 ram on xp home.

Cons: High def youtube videos in 720p played in realplayer stutter, so it's got a limitation there, but regular size youtube videos play just fine.

Other Thoughts: I used a dvi to hdmi to use the video card on a hdmi post on my lcd tv, it works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsBack to the future

Pros: No fan! Old Chain Tech video board fan gave out due to bearing noise in fan.
Price is right. Quality construction.

Cons: May have to upgrade my old dingy DVI monitor since the graphics look so good.

Other Thoughts: Received product different from the photo. Heat sink stands stands out the maximum to fit in a Shuttle XP. Only 1/32 inch clearance to cabinet side but is still running cool.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive, Got an old Computer from family and it only had on board video. I added the card and now the computer runs some of my old games perfectly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It is what it is, Don't expect too much from a computer with AGP video. But

5 out of 5 eggsSPARKLE Video card

Pros: My son's 6 year old home built PC's ATI AGP card died. I was hesitant to buy this card since I've never heard of Sparkle but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot.

His PC is running Windows XP Pro. I removed the old drivers, installed this card, cancelled the Windows process to find a driver and ran the set up on the CD that came with the card. It's beautiful when things are simple and work the way you want them too.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card

Pros: It replaced an ATI card, in my ancient DELL XPS Gen 2 computer. The new card was recognized by Windows XP and ran just fine on first boot with same resolution as the ATI. After a few minutes XP complained that the new "device was not working" and the drivers needed to be changed, so I inserted the CD, XP searched and installed the drivers. Problem Free.

No fan so it is quiet.

Cons: The card has no power input, the old ATI did, so I was looking around for a place to plug card power in. The instructions are universal and tell you to plug in card power if the card has an input.

The card covers enough of the slot beside it that even a half high card will not fit. It is one unit wide but the heatsink overhangs the adjacent slot. No hassle, I have another slot I can use if needed.

Other Thoughts: Happy camper. My old music/video computer lives on. Minimum requirements for the Sparle card are 1MB RAM. I have 3MB.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great With Windows 7!!!

Pros: Very good solid performance for Windows 7 and it completely recognizes it! Easy installation with CD. Runs cool in system.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Arrived a lot different than pictured above, with a different shaped and bigger silver heat sink. I actually like it better!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks flawlessly with Windows 7

Pros: Very quick card for being on AGP. Windows 7 imediatly recognized it! Nvidia still updates it from time to time! Stays rather cool in the system. Brought new life to an old system.

Cons: AGP but that's the reason I bought it to bring life to a new system. Doesnt run BF3 at max settings?

Other Thoughts: Works very well in a old P4 system.

4 out of 5 eggsReviving and old machine

Pros: Cost & Performance

Cons: Driver issues:

When I did a clean slate install of XP on an old system, I downloaded the newest drivers from nVidia's website. XP asked for a reboot and when windows reloaded it went to a black screen. I entered safe mode and removed the driver. Then using windows updates downloaded the MS driver... Same issue. I went back to nVidia's web site and noticed that the newest driver pack covered the 6000 series all the way up to the newest 500 series. I thought that there may be a conflict due to the 10 generations of cards being covered (and that this card is AGP, not PCI-E). So, I went through the selection process again and said I had a 5000 series card instead wich backed up the driver to an older version where the 6000 series was smack in the middle. Once loaded, the card worked flawlessly. In hind sight, perhaps I should have just tried loading the driver off the provided CD. :)

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for reviving an old MSI workstation MB so I could do some remote server maintenance and occasionally surfing the web. So, not having the latest/greatest driver isn't that much of an issue to me. (AKA... non-gaming PC)

As would be expected the 6200 is substantially better at pushing high desktop resolutions than the Riva TNT2 Ultra card it replaced. No supprise there.

When at first you don't succeed... try reading the directions.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade for AGP Board

Pros: inexpensive
solid video performance for AGP
win 7 aero support

Cons: downloading drivers took an hour (but was worth it)
HD video still choppy (AGP may be the bottleneck though)

Other Thoughts: I ordered this by mistake, my mobo is ASUS P4PE-X (4x AGP), but this 8x card works great. A dramatic improvement over my original 32m card and I will milk this system for all its worth!
