This graphics card is designed for the PCs that deserve great graphics. It taps into the powerful next-generation GeForce architecture to deliver premium multimedia performance and reliable gaming - every time. Insist on SPARKLE dedicated graphics for faster, more immersive performance in your favorite applications.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA CUDA Technology CUDA technology unlocks the power of the GPU’s processor cores to accelerate the most demanding tasks such as video transcoding, physics simulation, ray tracing, and more, delivering incredible performance improvements. The CUDA technology has already been adopted by thousands of programmers to speed up those performance hungry computing applications.
  • newegg New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • newegg Blu-ray 3D support Connect your PC to any 3D enabled TV over HDMI and enjoy a cinematic 3D experience in your home with seamless support for 1080p Blu-ray 3D discs.
  • newegg NVIDIA PhysX Technology Full support for NVIDIA PhysX technology enables a totally new class of physical gaming interaction for a more dynamic and realistic experience with GeForce.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed within 60 days

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing. The extra fans are an interesting touch as well.

Cons: This card has failed working in the first 60 days; the screen locks up and I have to reboot my system to get it working again. There was a horrible lag in refreshing the screen to the point of not redrawing the screen at all.

Other Thoughts: I knew I shouldn't have bought another Nvidia card; I have had nothing but problems with them.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty card, bad Sparkle support.

Pros: Would fulfill the need I had for 3 DVI connections on 1 board. The included interchangeable fans are a nice touch.

Cons: The unit I received worked during the install of windows, but then I started getting artifacts on the screen after I hooked up 3 monitors at the client's office. I emailed Sparkle support since it had been more than 30 days since I bought it from Newegg. I received an RMA from Sparkle fairly quickly. I sent the card back via FedEx and it was delivered to the RMA department on 10-14-2013. It is now 10-25-2013 and I have not received the replacement card nor have I received any communication from the company. I have emailed them several times and there is no US phone number to call. I am leaving a review here in hopes that they have people watching for bad reviews that they can act on.

Other Thoughts: I hope Sparkle gets back to me and sends me a working card so I can add some eggs back to this review.

4 out of 5 eggsGood to connect 3 DVI monitors

Pros: I bought this card to connect my three monitors to my workstation. I use the three monitors to do engineering and code development. This card does that effectively in both Linux and windows.

Cons: Playing games on this card, however, isn't the best.

4 out of 5 eggsSupports 3 independent DVI-displays in PLP (not in surround gaming, though)

Pros: - Can handle 3 independent DVI monitors at high resolutions with different image rotation settings for each screen (tested with 2560x1600 + 2 x 1600x1200)

- Comes with 3 fans that are easy to swap out. I care less, that they are "silent, turbo, and efficient", and more that I have 2 replacements in case the stock one clogs up with dust and dies out! Brilliant!

- Very small card that does not even need any external PCI-e power plugs. Really cleans up my case.

- Mine came with mini-HDMI to standard-HDMI adapter (although not shown in pictures here)

- I put in the "silent" fan and it is MUCH quieter than my Corsair HX 850 PSU. Nice!

- PRICE!

Cons: - Slower than my old GTX 260 (Windows 7 Experience score of 7.1 instead of 7.3), but I knew this from the GT 640 specs on NVidia's page and for this price, it's still awesome. So no eggs lost here.

- NVidia's 2D surround gaming does not support PLP setups! I knew this before as well. It sucks, but not a negative surprise, so no egg lost here.

- There is a very obscure bug in the NVidia drivers (310.90) that, when I have a program that uses DirectX sit across two or more monitors, the part of the DirectX image in the program shows the wrong section of the rendering surface on the portrait displays. I already filed a bug report with NVidia. Let's see if they get around to fixing it. Since this problem also shows up in Firefox and Chrome, which is really annoying, I will take off an egg for that.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a single card to drive my PLP (portrait-landscape-portrait) monitor setup consisting of a 30" 2560x1600 monitor in the middle flanked by two vertical 20" 1600x1200 screens. This one does it almost flawlessly. The 2D performance on the side screens is much better than back when I had one card drive the middle monitor and another drive the two sides. For this price, I almost couldn't be happier (barring one obscure driver problem (see cons)).
